It was right off the beach, the ocean view was great and not far from activities and restaurants!!!!
The facility is out dated, need to modernize (a lot) and do a little renovating!!
Location and kitchen in the room.
Too pricey for time of the year.
Enjoyed the big hot tub
WiFi did not work
The staff was excellent Clean and bug-free rooms Pools were fantastic So close to the beach i could taste the salt water.
Loved the pool options, how close we were to the beach and parking deck. The veiws were great. The size of our room was good and we received an upgrade at check in free!
One of the pools ruined our bathing suits, faded them, the bathroom was really tiny in our room and we stayed in a suite, didn't like the beds being near the hallway ours was right next to elevator and ice machine so the noise kept me up and woke me up a few times, the pool area snack bar food was awful, and they closed way too early for drinks
Carpet very dirty and refrigerator vern worn.
Looks and feels like a motel
Room was very adequate as was the parking.
Names of streets are the same in Myrtle Beach and north M.B.Our family ,who we were meeting, and who we thought were two blocks away ended up being 45 minutes away.
Oceanfront suite with kitchenette was comfortable and clean. Nice lazy river, pools and hot tubs. Enjoyed the grassy area tables, umbrellas and chairs. We were upgraded to a suite.
Building is old. Room decor is dated and smelled of mildew. Parking near hotel was always full so had to use indoor parking a block away passing through the outdoor lot. Our building has no lobby. You walk in thru the garage and have to look for the hotel elevator. In the room, a note left by the hotel staff warns guests not to order pizza ect. from flyers found around the property since credit card numbers have been misused. Next morning I found one of those flyers on my door. I felt unsafe.
Almost everything. Swimming pool and the lazy river were excellent.
Chairs on the balcony should be replace with lounges.
I like the location in proximity to shops and restaurants which were in walking distance. I liked the convenience of the beach to the pool. I liked the fact that our room had a kitchen and we had front view of the ocean from our balcony. I also liked the free access to the tables with umbrella's. I liked the price as well, it was cheaper than what I originally booked it for. Lastly, when we checked in they said they gave us an upgrade because we originally booked an efficiency but they were putting us in a "Suite" in looking back at my original booking I booked a suite. I would have liked to seen the original room I booked and been given a choice. Of course I could have refused the upgrade but who is going to do that. Overall it worked out because we all had our own beds due to sitting area having a trundle bed that came out of the wall. I would stay here again especially if I am on a budget.
I didn't like the fact that our room was by the ice machine and late at night or early in the morning you could be awakened by people getting ice and talking loudly in the hallway. I didn't like the fact that our door appeared to be slightly warped and we had to really slam it and use all the locks before we went to bed at night and upon leaving the room. I didn't like the fact that the towels and sheets were dingy and appeared as though they needed to be replaced. Parking at times was inconvenient due to limited spaces in parking deck of building. Therefore you had to park across the street if you could find a space there. The bathroom was small and directly adjacent to the kitchen which at times was awkward to navigate. I didn't like the fact that upon check-in the person who checked us in didn't tell us about any of the features the hotel had on the website. Didn't mention anything about the bowling alley and the times it is open or how to access it. Only told us if we showed our room key at Johns restaurant then we would get a discount.
Location of room, beds were comfortable, shower was great and very clean.
Linens were very dingy looking, sheets and pillowcases. There was a bug in our kitchen, pretty sure it was a cockroach. Housekeeping did not vacuum room once during our 4 night stay.
My room overlooked the ocean. There were several pools, hot tubs and a lazy river - sauna too. Very large grassy area with lounge chairs and umbrellas for sunning or shade. The staff at Yella Umbrella made the best drinks and food. Friendly, fun people! Centrally located to many attractions and places to dine too! Definitely going back!
Housekeeping needed to spend more attention in the bathroom but don't let this stop you from trying out the Dayton!
We like our ocean front room and it being on the 2nd floor was nice. We could take the steps & the ice machine was close by. My husband love the pools & hot tubs. He is still talking about it.Plenty of parking was great too.We don't mind walking across the street.
Nothing I can think of.
The view of the ocean from my balcony and the beach is just in front us
The hotel don't have a daily housekeeper and when I ask them they said they do it after our stay, they just provided us clean towel because I ask for it
didn't get the room that I was booking
Outside was set up nicely, there seems to plenty of lounge chairs and tables. Faces the beach. Close to most attractions and restaurants, most in walking distance.
The resort needs some major renovations. The room is old and small, just good enough for 2 people, would have been cramped with any more. WiFi is slow, electrical outlets are old, items don't stay plugged in. People do try to reserve prime locations in the front of the resort with coolers & signs.
I loved how there were great pool accommodations for my 3 year old son he loved it
I absolutely hated the parking situation. That really put in a horrible mood when i first got to the resort. And trying to find a cart to load the luggage onto was nearly impossible! Especially check out time, i had to go to tower to tower to tower to find a cart!
The bathroom was small
I reserved a Queen Room. When we arrived we were told we were being "upgraded". Our room had 2 double beds! I did not think being moved from a Queen room to a suite with double beds was an "Upgrade". We were charged the same amount.
It was close to everything
The room had a mildew smell they had to move us to another floor.the pools were not all that clean .
Its around everything in walking distance
Didn't have no dinning in the facility
We liked the beach access and view as well as both pools and hot tub. We stayed during the 'off' season, so it wasn't too crowded. Our room was pretty much the way it was pictured on line, so no surprises there. It was a good value for our money, but nothing above and beyond. Vanilla.
Since it was just my 12 year old daughter and myself, we felt a little out of place, as the crowd was definitely a more senior one. I'm not sure if that was because it was more off season or if that is the intended market. Other hotels on the beach included water slides and kids activities, this hotel, during our stay, did not. We also experienced difficulty finding parking one night out of our three night stay and this was 'off season' so not sure how bad it is during 'peak' season.
