Excellent location, very nice owners with great food. We really enjoyed our stay at the ranch/lodge.
Tom and Alycia greeted us as if they couldn't wait to see us, though we were strangers when we arrived. . . Their guest house is beautifully rustic, sufficient, not luxurious. We loved the expansive views, access to the Horseshoe canyon by bike and hike. It really feels like you are out in the middle of nowhere, which is a good thing now and then. The miniature horses and carriage ride is a real plus because of their instruction, and we'll ride longer on our next visit. Decent library of books on local history. The very dark nights were glorious with stars that swept down to the ground. Tom and Alycia prepared all meals with great care, ample, fresh, local, and natural ingredients. The Ranch should advertise its quality food on farm stay websites featuring homegrown foods.
Would prefer queen sized beds. Didn't like the wind, but that's not Tom and Alycia's fault. We had a great time, and will return.
