Conveniently located next to the the New Orleans French Quarter, this historic hotel is a gateway to the some of the city's most treasured cultural landmarks and attractions.
Score from 420 reviews Good
In the heart of the French Quarter, this New Orleans hotel features a lush courtyard with a marble fountain and a heated saltwater pool. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.
Score from 380 reviews Very good
This New Orleans hotel is next to the gaming and entertainment at Harrah’s Casino. On-site dining options and rooms with free wireless internet access are provided.
Score from 92 reviews Excellent
This urban hotel is housed in a historic building less than one mile outside the New Orleans French Quarter district. It features a courtyard dipping pool and rooms with free Wi-Fi.
Score from 151 reviews Wonderful
The spaciousness of the room was phenomenal and the tub...I can't say enough about the tub. It was massive! Our bed was super comfy, I didnt want to get out. Overall, this place was great for the price. I'll be staying again.
Since the building is on the older side, the outside walls are a little thin. This caused us to hear almost everything happening outside, at all hours. Not that big of a deal though.
Wifi was a joke, couldn't hold a signal for 10min and when there was, it was poor
The only positive thing I can say is it has a good location.
Can you imagine not having any hot water? The television did not work. Wires were running everywhere throughout the room. Swimming pool had no water and was a walking hazard. Reservation was in office employee did not have any clue we were coming. Employee put me in 109 and it already had customers in it. The hotel needs to be remodeled.
layout of the 2-bedroom suite, kitchen, enough space in living room for the 6 of us to gather. The location is near River Walk and the Quarter. Short and inexpensive ride by cab to Saenger Theater.
sun blocking shade in bedroom facing courtyard along with ceiling fan would have been nice.
great location easy access to everything
did not spend long enough in New Orleans
Great kitchen and living area for mauure couplebwith parents. Helpful but biased staff.
Interesting configuration of shower, very large tube also as spa bath. Steps in and out not overly reassuring for older individuals.
We liked our suite in this old traditional hotel in the French Quarter and enjoyed the comfortable and large rooms.
The odd layout of the rooms and the large round spa in the bathroom made the actual bathroom very small
Run down, needs a face lift, very small place,
Staff were efficient and friendly
Room was very expensive but was cut out of a bigger room and had no windows, so very poor value
The only thing was walking distance from French Quarter
Noice, location of my room, they gave me the worst place. Noisy and crowded. Noice came from outside, pipes, air conditioner
I had read the other review before booking and I was skeptical at first but then looked at all the pics and booked anyway, I am glad I did..... Room was cozy, clean and the staff was very helpful as to eating and visiting sights, parking is paid parking but its right next door... and everything is with in walking distance.... I would stay there again....
cant think of anything
The jacuzzi tub
the space, extra beds. the staff very nice. I Especially loved the fact that the hotel served Folgers Coffee. A spacious kitchen and bathroom.
the beds in our suite are very hard. and had a problem getting the internet
The location is perfect.
We had Room 108, it has no exterior windows so I was a little claustrophobic.
Close to everything and the best price in town for location.
Pool area could have been a bit cleaner.
Loves the ambiance if the hotel. Air conditioner worked great.
Beds has metal box springs. We sunk in the mattress.
The old architecture and feel. However this did not have a good safety feel or met codes.
The first room I was given was not very safe. There was a back door which led to their outside patio and this door was rotten around the lock and the bottom wood panel of the door had fallen out when I opened the door. This room was very unsafe and not well secured. The second room I was given was once again not what I would think is secure. The door did not close all the way, the class on the door was very easy to smash and break in along with it being very lightly frosted anyone could come up and look right into your room. The blinds did not go down all the way and the construction going on was VERY loud. It sounded like people were right in your room.
The size of the room. We had a bedroom and living rroom. It was clean and close to a lot of places. They let us check in early also
The jacuzzi tub didn't work. We were by the pool and if people were at the pool or walking by could hear there conversations. The ac didn't work the next morning when we were getting ready but was ok because we were cchecking out and alerted the front desk about it
Staff attitudes an clean facility.
I wish I could remember the young lady's name that checked us in she was excellent and so very helpful to us. I would recommend this hotel for a stay in New Orleans. We were out a lot but the beds were very comfortable. Everything you would need and more.
The way the hotel was built/designed it is definitely not handicapped accessible. The hallways, doorways & room itself is very narrow. Checkout time 10am is too early for a city like N.O. most places checkout is 11am or 12pm
The water pressure was very low and we asked someone to check it out and they said they would but the pressure was still very low. Not sure if they checked it out.
Pool - unclean and small
The staff did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable while also giving us our privacy. Were quick to assist when fridge went on the fritz. Room was spacious and in a great location between bourbon st and french quarter. Pool was very well kept and kitchen very appropriately stocked with all accomidations needed to prepare meals. Plenty of blankets, pillows, bathroom amenities, hangers, mirrors, and etc.
The fridge went on the fritz during the stay. The roof top patio was undergoing work so we didnt get the opportunity to experience that. Couch and corner of room had disconcerting white stains on them. Shower curtain kept falling down due to it being a cheap retractable stick. Shower and tub leaked continously.
I loved how unique this hotel was and pleased with the location that was in the middle of all the areas we wanted to see. Our room was a little tricky to get to but we got used to it and it added to the uniqueness.
I did not like that the roof deck was shut down for the time we were there and the small pool area could have been a bit more tidied up to add to the ambiance and serenity of the area. Maybe a little local music piped in.
