Food & beverage

During the week, a deluxe continental breakfast is served in the cozy breakfast parlor. On the weekends, a delicious hot Creole breakfast will be cooked to order by the friendly staff. Breakfast hours are from 8 am -10 am.

Special requests and dietary restrictions can usually be accommodated with advance notice.

Complimentary coffee, soft drinks and bottled water are also available 24 hours a day.

Room information

Each of the rooms is individually furnished with its own character and style. All the rooms and suites are elegantly appointed with antique and reproduction furniture, hardwood floors and an extensive collection of Degas prints and sculpture. The spacious and luxurious suites feature private balconies and mini-refrigerators. Deluxe rooms feature 4-post Queen-size beds and either a Jacuzzi or Victorian claw-foot bath. Garrett rooms are located on the third floor and modeled after the attic studios of 19th century Parisian artists. All rooms are equipped with: a private bathroom; air conditioning; and access to shared kitchen facilities. Guests have access to two beautifully decorated grand parlors featuring an extensive collection of reproduction Degas prints and sculpture.

All reservations are based on single/double occupancy. No smoking is permitted in the House. You may smoke outside in the Courtyard, on the balcony or on the porch. A fee of USD 150 smoke removal fee to any parties smoking in their rooms. You are given a set of keys when you check in; if these keys are not returned, there will be a charge of USD 50 to your credit card.

Conveniently located in the historic Esplanade Ridge neighborhood, on the majestic Esplanade Avenue, the inn is just 11 blocks from the French Quarter. This broad, oak-lined avenue runs from the riverfront to beautiful City Park, home of New Orleans Museum of Art and Botanical Gardens.

The Fairgrounds horse racetrack, venue for the world famous New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (Jazz Fest for short) is only a few blocks away. Within walking distance you will also find fascinating above ground cemeteries, scenic bayous, and delicious local cuisine at the eclectic Bayou St. John shopping and dining district.

A short drive or cab ride will bring you to other area attractions such as the French Market, St. Louis Cathedral, the Ernest N. Morial Convention Centre, the Superdome, the Aquarium of the Americas, and many more.
