It was old & dirty. The room smelled horrible. The mattress was uncomfortable. A horrible experience!!

blanket ripped. room smelled. no clock radio. no fitted sheet on bed.

No security latch on door. Train tracks behind hotel. Price should be less than $60 for that hotel in that side of town.

Comfortable room, internet access & adequate parking for motor coach.

Need to turn motor coach around in lot or back into lot as the driveway is too narrow around building to get around.

Nothing! It was horrible!

It said continental breakfast but there was NO breakfast... It smelled old and musty....and the bathroom was dirty!

It was pretty inexpensive.

The first room they gave me had not been cleaned from the previous tenants. The replacement room they gave me was clean enough.

Room was dirty. Grime. Shower curtain had mold going on it, I would not use the shower it was so bad. Air Conditioner work very poorly. Desk staff could not communicate in the American English Language. Desk staff could not or would not resolve issues. Would not give my money back after paying cash so that I could go to another hotel, so I was somewhat forced to stay there. I believe the health board should investigate this establishment. This was by far the worst hotel I have stayed in.

Easy to locate.

Old, room in poor condition. Hard to heat. Door difficult to lock. Did not feel safe. Shower curtain moldy. Bed was comfortable.

Only good part was that we were close to the place we came to visit.

When we got there they didn't have the room I booked online - we booked a queen room and we got a full size bed room. The lady at the desk told me she thought people would cancel and would have a room for me that I booked. The room had no baseboard and our towels had hair all over them. You could hear the neighbors next door, when you turned on the water it sounded like a siren going off.

The only thing I like about Travellinn Dekalb is being across the street from Northern Illinois University (NIU) campus. I had to stay at Travelinn for approx 10 days to finish some business with the University.

It was ok. It was near where I was going in the morning

It had a funny smell in the office and the shower curtain was moldy. The blanket was ripped and the pillows were flat. The remote on the tv didn't work well. It was hard to change channels. You had to make complaints and ask for changes in the first 15 minutes. I didn't discover the moldy shower curtain until morning. I will not stay at another Travel Inn especially the one in DeKalb.

Furnishings, including sheets, were old and worn. Heat took a long time to warm up, and a large gap b/t door and frame let cool air in all night. Would not recommend.

Closeness to NIU

Because it was cheap, you get what cheapnest buys . @ police vehicles pulled into motei while there and stayed a while. I couln't recommend it because people want more up to date and cleaner motels on average .

The place is in shambles about to fall down, old, smelly, small, dingey, nothing good about this place, almost left only it was the only place around at the late hour of the night, I'm guessing it will close or fall down soon

I did not like it at all. The first room that they gave us the door didn't even lock. They said they would have someone check it out. That person could not fix the door so they moved us to another room. When I asked for the Wi-Fi code, I was told it was not working and would not be working for some time. The sheets on the bed were so old that they were "pilling". As cheap as this motel was, it was way to expensive for what we got.

Check in staff was very friendly and helpful.

Shower curtain was filthy dirty, shower floor was dirty, bathroom was dirty Shower head was filthy and postioned very low. . Air conditioner worked very poorly, not strong enough. Shelves were dirty. Phone worked but top of phone was broken. Fridge in room was dirty inside. Lights were very dim. Breakfast was very minimal. Check out staff was on phone constantly and didn't get off phone to talk with me when I checked out. Pool was not working, totally broken.

Room showed age and wear, but was clean,staff friendly, and priced right.

Requested a non smoking room, room however smelled of heavy smoking.
