Room was not quiet.. Too small

the staff of the 1500 and especially the hostesses were very unfriendly,rude and need some training on dealing with the public. every other member group of the staff were outstanding.

All the accomdations that the hotel provides. That the hotel provided shopping, restaurants, beachside access, and fabulous views from the restaurant,express check- out and valet.

Valet was very pricey than other places, the restaurant was very expensive for what you were given at the 1500 Ocean restaurant , there was bees flying around us right by our heads when we were on our balcony having a glass of wine vey unpleasant.

The location. Beautiful and the weather was perfect. Lovely hotel and accomodations. Lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance

A lot of hidden charges. Posted internet price was not what we were charged. Was a lot more.

I had wanted to stay at the Del for 50 years. It is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location.

I could smell a kind of musty smell in my room that was a bit of a downer. Also, the hotel was completely sold out and there were so many people that I felt like I was at Disneyland on a crowded day. It was just too many people. Don't know how they could remedy that. Also, it seems pretty over-priced. But I guess they can get away with that - it was sold out, after all.

Location location location - beautiful and serene The bedroom in the Victorian building was tastefully decorated Dinner in the Sheerwater was very good - excellent steak although the scalloped potatoes were lacking in potato content and a little poor, my husband really enjoyed the hotels take on fish and chips I would recommend the hotel to other travellers for a one time experience but the hotel would need to overhaul it's approach for a return visit

Not all of the staff lived up to the standard that should be set by the hotel - eg in ice cream shop - I do not blame them - I blame poor customer service training' tea coffee facilities in the bedrooms were very poor - creamers and plastic stirrers have no place in an up market hotel and even the most basic of hotels provide cookie plus 2 tea bags!!! Putting best available rate on the invoice which did not include breakfast but having the same rare on the hotel website which did include breakfast made me feel a bit cheated'

It was beautiful as it always was. The beach is wonderful and so well maintained. I was treating my daughter to a three-day gift and she loved it.

My daughter did not get to tour the hotel as some of the rooms were closed or were being used by other groups, i.e., the larger, more beautiful areas.

The staff, room, restaurants and beach were, of course, fantastic.

The Hotel del Coronado is a wonderful resort, well worth the somewhat higher cost to stay. The staff is warm and professional. Our experience was exceptional; my wife and I are planning to spend our next anniversary there so that we can enjoy the ambiance and luxury again.

My parents enjoyed the hotel. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. It was wonderful to be able to book fire pits and not have to worry about a thing. Oh yeah, my mom lost her wallet at the Mootime ice cream shop, and some wonderful individual turned it into security. Great!

Everything. It was really nice experience. I wish I could be there more. Wonderful hotel with long and interesting history and legend. Though window was not ocean view, view on yard was excellent.

The historical ambiance and the beach were fabulous. Food was great and the spa is nice. Several staff tried very hard to make up for the crazy busy atmosphere and really pay attention.

It is way too busy and crowded. We found it very difficult to relax with so many rude and dissrespecful people smothering the resort environment. The beach is amazing but the constant screaming of aircraft is rather dissappointing. Would only go back if we could have a penthouse and not leave the room until we could see all the noisy people had left.

Outrageously priced for everything from mineral to cocktails to food. A resort charge of $25 dollars a day is also added to the bill and with tax that makes it a very very dear place to stay. The jacuzzi is full of kids everyday unsupervised. Was going to go to the adults only pool one day but when I went past it there were kids in there too. It is a fab place but those few things are a turn off

The beauty of the hotel is still very impressive after operating for so many years. It has a charm and allure about it. We loved the landscape, the intricate wood carving in the main lobby, the antique elevator with the operator in full traditional dress, and the room was very warm and inviting. We stayed in a standard Victorian room. It had a very comfortably layout. We enjoyed having a private balcony with chairs and tables overlooking the courtyard garden. I travel on business weekly and I have to say this was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on in a hotel. The beach was nice and we love sitting on the Sun Deck nestled next to the fire drinking a cocktail and watching the sunset. The beach has a beautiful gold sparkles every wear along the shoreline. It was interesting to find out that our room was directly across from Kate Morgan's room (now marked 3327), the hotel guest that checked in but never checked out. This hotel has a delightful charm and we would love to visit again with our whole family during the Christmas holiday season to enjoy the ice skating rink on the beach and see the hotel decorated in it's holiday splendor.

The Valet charge is now $40/day and Self Parking is $30/day. Which seems very high when you are already paying a pretty significant amount on your room stay which also requires a $25/day resort fee. You will need to plan on expecting a base fee of $354/night at minimum in additiona to hotel taxes. However, the Valet Staff was great and asked us if we needed help with directions each time before we left. They were very quick in bringing our car around each time.

This hotel has so much history and is in a class all it's own. The gardens and grounds are spectacular. Attention to detail is wonderful. Retail stores staff are very personable and welcoming. This is our second stay at the Del. The first time was 20 years ago as a business award. That was four days of being treated like royalty. This last visit was to celebrate a niece graduating from the university. What a special venue. A very memorable experience. The concier was very very helpful. The check in counter staff person was very attentive.

Our check in was at 4pm (not 3pm like others in our group), but we did not get our key until 4:40pm. This caused us to miss our 5pm event. The valet parking needs to be improved for quicker service.

We have been staying at the Del since 1977 and love coming back. They have remodeled the rooms in the original hotel and they are very nice. The hotel still has the charm and class it has been famous for.

The management has put a price on everything. For instance, you have to pay to have your airline boarding passes printed. And the hotel restaurants are extremely expensive, so much so that we principally ate at other restaurants on the island.

Sehr schoenes und gut ehaltenes historisches Gebaeude mit viel Geschichte. Tolle Atmosphaere wenn man die Menschen ausblendet.

Nur schlecht gekleidete Gaeste ohne Stil. In der schoenen Bar flimmern 7 Fernsehbildschirme. Fuer was? Die ehemalige wunderbare Pianobar in der Lobby wurde durch einen Souvenirshop ersetzt. Alles auf Abriss. Parken kostet 31 bzw 41 USD pro Tag! Auf der Rechnung schlaegt das Hotel einfach mal so pro Tag 25 USD Resort Charge drauf. 4 min. telefonieren innerhalb Californien kosteten 26 USD! Alles sehr teuer! Wuerde nicht mehr hingehen trotz des wunderschoenen Gebaeudes. Schoene Straende gibts auch naeher. Bzw noch viel Schoenere!

名气大，可酒店图片上看以为定的是老楼，实际入住才发现有好几个楼，设备陈旧，却没有古老的感觉，每天40- 0美金的房却是7、80年代的楼，即没有古老的感觉，也没有现代舒适的感觉，不值。

Sehr schönes altes Hotel, phantastisches Gebäude, wundervolle Hoteleinrichtung (Lobby, Gänge..) Ein ehemaliges First-Class-Grandhotel, in dem der Film "Manche mögen's heiss" gedreht wurde, in exzellenter Lage direkt am Strand.

Das Hotel hat nicht mehr die reichen Kunden von früher und muss sich auf "normale" Touristen einstellen, die offenbar die sehr hohen Kosten eines solchen alten Grandhotels nicht mehr ganz tragen. Man spürt den Sparzwang allenthalben am Service (sehr bescheiden) und auch sonst. Die Zimmer (Viktorianisches Zimmer) war klein, das Bad winzig. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist bescheiden, man muss das ganze Ambiente eben mitbezahlen. Dennoch lohnt der Aufenthalt: Ambiente und Strandlage entschädigen für manches.
