Hotel Del Sol, a Joie de Vivre Hotel    

İt was very clean and the location was great.

Breakfast was poor and no closed area to have breakfast.you can sit in the garden but there were just 2 tables and since the weather was cold when we were there it was not very comfortable to have the breakfast in garden.

The hotel staff were excellent and extremely helpful. Oscar was particularly informative and knowledgable. Car parking was no problem and breakfast was good. Sitting eating breakfast in the courtyard was lovely.

It is quite difficult to distinguish anything special - we liked pretty much everything. The location is great. Hotel very kids oriented - nice pool, the palms and the hammock were favorite for our kids. The whole atmosphere in the hotel very friendly and cheerful.

There are two things that could negatively impact your impression: the parking space quite limited - be ready to grab an empty spot as you see it. the breakfast area really small -basically you have to eat outside (near the pool) - could be an issue in rainy morning.

Nice, clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The heated pool. Big rooms and a great American breakfast that was included in the price. The hotel is in the neighbourhood Marina, which has great restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance. It is also well-connected with buses nearby to downtown and to the Golden Gate bridge.

The rooms were not so well insulated, which meant that the airconditioning came on regularly if switched on.

It was a nice place to stay. It's clean, the staff is friendly and it's close to all kinds of activities. Also, I liked the festive decor and bright colors. Luxury...no. Everything I needed for a nice stay...yes.

Your best choice to stay in San Francisco in my opinion: my favorite district with Victorian architecture, very calm and safe neighborhood, and the Union st. With all the restaurants and shops is 2 blocks away. Rooms are spacious, free parking, heated pool (!), continental breakfast is included — you take the tray to your room. And there are always cookies! :) The staff is most helpful, I appreciate the advice about best place in town to eat oysters — Swan's Oyster Depot! And the Hop On Hop Off bus stop is just down the street

Hotel Del Sol is located in a wonderful neighborhood, with many restaurants and shopping just two blocks in each direction. The staff couldn't be more professional, helpful, and friendly. The complimentary continental breakfast and amble parking is an added plus.

Breakfast was served outside, in the parking. It was cold for us and not really comfortable, but we still had a nice breakfast.

The staff were quite friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent, the cookies at 3 were a very nice trip. Was a little walk to the pier and the warf...but it was fun to experience San Francisco from this hotel. Some of the reviews were not positive and therefore a little worried, but the stay was perfect. We all preferred to stay in this type of accomodations, rather than a bigger hotel. this was more personal and intimate. The courtyard was nice to sit and enjoy being outdoors relaxing between our touring the city. Had a care for a few days, and no problem parking at all.

The layout of the Motel is really nice - it is a 'classic one' as known from the old movies, but with a really friendly, fresh and new touch.

The dry cleaning service they use was late and did a poor job of cleaning. I wish the hotel would have advocated for me as a customer.

Staff were very friendly, room was clean and comfortable, location was central with Fisherman's worth within a 15min walk from the hotel. Neighbourhood felt very safe at night.

The ratio of price and quality do not encounter.

It did not meet my expectations at all and the price they ask is ridiculously high. My room was the street side and since the building is completely made of wood, you can hear every step your neighbours ( next door but also above).

The hotel is a nice motel like facility but with a courtyard with some seating together with a pool and some hamocks which gave a good feel to the hotel not being in the middle of San Francisco. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful to make our stay a pleasure

If the courtyard had comfortable basket type chairs rather than hard bistro type chairs, we would have spent mpore time sat in the are in the evening with a nice bottle of californian wine !

No roofed room for breakfast

I loved the customer service and friendly faces at the front desk. My boyfriend and I needed a place to stay while he visited from Chicago and I came up from San Jose. It was absolutely pleasant.

Great location, breakfast included and nice staff.

This motel is quite decent. Good location, everything is very convenient. We stayed for one night, when we came to see San Francisco. The motel has a small and comfortable swimming pool.

Breakfast is so-so. It is best to take a coffee and fruit.
