out of the glam it used to have
Beautiful facilities, amazing pool, great food, extremely friendly and helpful service…overall, an amazing place to stay!
Cleaning insufficient No free wiFi for more than USD 600 room per night is unacceptable Poor breakfast
Pool staff and the restaurant staff was good Ok location
A lot hidden fees charged (resort fee and room occupancy fee????) They gave us a non ocean view room as a ocean view room and price
1.Hotel Location 2.Decor of ground floor area 3.Reception staff 4.Beach & pool area
1.Rooms are simply filthy 2.Extra $35/day 'resort tax' 3.Over priced bar & eatery 4.Loud music in evenings
Decor still feels stylish after two decades. Location great.
Service was very poor for a hotel at nearly $1k per night for the room I had. Getting a bed in a good position by the pool is only possible after bribing pool staff with a big tip, which considering a resort fee of $35 per day, which is supposed to cover beds by the pool is outrageous. Finally check your bill closely as I had $1,500 of extras on my bill that were all for other rooms!!! Having stayed at the Delano about 10 times before, I won't be staying there again.
Entire pool only 4 feet deep or shallower. Great for toddlers.
Breakfast is $30. All dining mediocre. Tired salads, tired rooms. Blood on the floor of my bathroom!!!! Closet freshly painted!!!! Wet paint on clothes!!!! (The hotel picked up the charge.) $7 for M&M's in the minibar. $37 to park your car.
The hotel has a great location and the stuff is very good and friendly.
The beds are very old, there is nowhere to have a cup of coffee, literally. If it rains, you are condemned to your room or freezing cold lobby. The one restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner is only works on those occasions. You can maybe have a coffee when they are not serving food. Honestly, go to other hotels, they are much better.
1. Fab staff, no exceptions 2. Best location for all South Beach 3.World class cuisine 4. Lovely gardens & grounds
1 .Rooms rather sparse & ageing 2. Very poor, under specified vehicular access 3. Poor sound proofing of art-deco windows (o/s road noise) 4. Resort fee was a $35/day shock (added to all bills)
Pool and overall feel
Room size Staff Bathroom is damp
The style The design by Starck The trendy atmosphere The lounge music (a bit is great)
The price The $35 resort fee, more expensive than at the Shore Club, just 1 block away and on the same beach, what does justify the difference? The additional $25 fee for a beach umbrela...there is obviously no limit for the poor milk cows we are. Too many people at the pool, no seat available, despite the resort fee... The lounge music (too much is too much)
High money against low value
The location the beach and its access
The bathroom dirty floors old rugs small beds
Great location, good staff but expensive for what you get. You could get better rates at Loews or St James which are in same location and just as nice but not as cool as the Delano - Leonardo Dicaprio had been in 2 weeks prior to my visit and Usher had just left
Never book breakfast included rate as this is only for continental breakfast and they always charge for hot items
The bar team (Mariano, and The girls) Reception team (Aldo) Location and wifi The nightclub The pool The gym
All The extra's you have to pay going from charging your phone to a normal refill during breakfast. For me it is a 4 star hotel where you have to pay for 5 star service..
Everything! Service is impeccable
Service was great, beds are unbelievable.
That their system didn't show that breakfast was included as indicated on reservation. I showed them the email confirmation and they took it off.
The garden and the pool area are fantastic! Nice design. Great staff. The location of the hotel is very good.
Everything is very expensive. The bathroom was quite small.
Constant selling of items , resort charge !! High cost of items etc Too salesy
Nice Pool area.
Poor front desk service poor concierge service
The service was great, very customer oriented. Loved the fact that you also provided beach service.
All of the furnishings in the hotel need to be updated along with the wine stained, really dirty carpets. For $550 a night some updated surroundings could be purchased. Restaurant way over prices for food provided.
Delano is still quite charming. The pool is very nice, great music, great ambiance. No children around us, good drinks, perfect and attentive service. Our room didnt have a sea view, but it was in the 12th floor facing the city and it wass amazing. Very spacious, huge bed, great shower. Simply perfect.
The commom areas in the hotel need a refresh, mainly at the lobby and the restaurant bacony, where breakfast is. Furniture look a bit over used. We can notice the years since last refurbishing. But that is nothing bad, we simply didnt expect that at Delano, a design hotel.
Location, room and hotel pool
Could of been a little more value for money
Location; Pool; Bed; View
For the price they charge you would expect at least a complimentary bottle of water in the room and free shampoo and conditioner
