Fireplace in our room. Cheap! Manager couldn't read/speak english so hard to communicate. Noisy in rooms, thin walls and floor/ceiling. Breakfast was a big joke! Muffins and orangejuice only! Had to buy breakfast at Starbucks nearby.

That they had our two room reservations when we arrived. Towels were dirty. Broken electrical and my sister got shocked. Air did not work. Party at 2am and the phone did not work to the front desk. Heaven help us if I needed 911. Went to tell the manager and he locked the door to the office and would not talk to us. The entire stay should be reported to the health department. I should be given a refund.

I read several reviews where the guests complained about the towels or the breakfast or the other amenities that are missing at this hotel. Bring your own and leave them there... You'll still be money ahead. There are many luxury hotels on the Monterey Peninsula that will treat you like royalty and cost you a princely sum. I am thankful that there are still a few hotels left that won't bust the bank. Other guests complained about excessive noise. This wasn't a problem for us, but we also have two very young children, so they may have been complaining about us! Refrigerator and microwave worked well. Hidden service fee. I've gotten use to having to search for additional resort fees in Hawaii, but this is just a motel! Always click on the extra fees button on Booking.com!

Cheap, room was cleaned and beds made daily. There is no pool, the breakfast is blueberry muffins and orange juice every morning in a closet sized office. The manager is very hard to understand, as he is not from here. And as you pack up to leave he hovers over you staring.

I liked the location and the price. This place was easy to find. It is located right across the street from the del monte center which has a number of places to shop and eat. As well as a movie theater. It is only a few miles from cannery row and the warf. By staying at this location I was able to venture off down streets that I normally wouldn't have gone down if I stayed closer to the touristy parts of Monterey, and found some very nice shops and restaurants. The pillows were very disappointing. They were flat and the pillows under the pillow cases were dirty. I had a non smoking room but the bathroom window had burn marks and ashes in the window seal. The tv was small and the universal remote did not control the volume. The walls were really thin and u could hear the people in the next room sneeze. The coffee pot and mugs were dirty and you only had the option of having reg coffee, no decaf. It was nice to have a fireplace insert in the wall, but there was not a cover of any kind in front of it. The flame was fully exposed. The room keys had me a little nervous. They were hard plactic key that had a number of holes in them that had the combination to open the door. Not like the new credit card style keys most places have. Every time I left my room I was worried that there was a number of keys to that room with the same pattern ( as if someone never turned there key in ) and others that may have stayed in that room may be able to get back in at any time. The keys didn't seem reprogramable at all. Kind of scary.

I did not like the behavior of the guy in the reception. he is very tough and not polite. Also i did not like the way of the offer of booking.com. they write the price in the hotel is 35$ and when i went to the Motel he told me to pay 55$. I found that in the conditions, it is written 10% taxes + 15$ service charges.

We chose this motel for it's affordable price and location on our trip down the PCH. We arrived a little after dark and after some difficulty getting our key to work (you have to push it in REALLY hard) we were pleasantly surprised with the room. Two queen beds were very comfortable, there was a microwave and small refrigerator, and the shower pressure was fantastic. A very convenient, enjoyable stay for us!

Absolutely nothing comes to mind. This was the worst hotel experience I have had in my entire life. The room was smelly, dark and falling apart. We absolutely needed wifi on this trip and the psychotic incompetent woman working the desk just said, "yeah, it works for some computers and not for others." none of the other guests could get it to work, we asked. And the nasty woman then berated us for complaining and said "nobody else complain. Only you complain since morning you complain." ...5 minutes later of course another guest came in to complain. The she told me to go get my computer fixed at radio shack. We asked her the next day very calmly and politely if she would allow us to speak to the manager, due to a number of grievances we had by that point and she said "Manager not here. No, how you talk to manager when manager not here?" we told her we would like his contact information and she said "No, no, manager not here." and we said please give us his name and she started staring at a piece of paper and moving it around the desk in random directions muttering "Manager not here, how you talk to manager when manager not here? No." This woman was unbelievably rude (also to other guests), obviously either demented or a little bit mentally challenged; I have no problem with such people being provided employment but then they need to be supervised. She was there the entire 3 days that we were. I think she might live there and we asked to borrow a wine opener one evening and she just said over and over "No, I don't know. No. I don't know. No." We had the wine bottle there with us; there's no way she didn't understand what we were asking and a normal person of sound mind could have at least managed to say "No, sorry, I don't have one." This woman was off her rocker. Also the tv only had one channel.

The fireplace in the room was nice I had troubles getting online even after trying all possible formations of the security word. When I went to the front desk to double check the security words she repeated them to me and said "if you have problems go to Radio Shack" Also the included "breakfast" started too late for me to partake in it.

You get what you pay for! Make sure you read the fine print when using bookings.com as there are other hidden fee's This motel is along the busy Munrus motel row. It was noisy and in need of upgrade. Towels were more like rags! Don't bother with the continental b-fast as it was pathetic. Don't take your bride here either.
