SO accommodating and helpful!! The staff and shuttle services were excellent. The facilities were beautiful, clean and welcoming. Restaurant terrific! The room was just as presented on the website, clean, quiet with a spectacular view. Loved it all.
Thought iIt was all one building like a lodge. Wrong! Made up of several buildings like a motel. No view even tho on side of a mountain. Had to put coats on to go to lobby, restaurant, etc.. One desk clerk had poor customer service skills. Others ok. Poor service in restaurant but food good. Overpriced but par for Denali. Would drive further south if were doing it again.
Front desk people are very good. got us into rooms quickly. informed us how to get into Denali Natl Park.
The location was fabulous and hotel area was pretty. Good shuttle service to their other hotel and to the very small town. You don't have too many hotel choices in the National Park. This was more like a motel than a hotel.
The standard room was dark, dated and motel like. There was no view. Our outside window faced another hotel door. It was not private. We either had to have the window blinds closed, or open to the walking public. I felt as if I was in a storage container. The room was clean. Would be tight for 4 people.
the location the shuttle the bag service of carrying bags to train depot while we were out and about prior to departure, lists of things to do in that time while waiting for departure, wake up calls if aurora present, the scenery, the boxed lunches for day trips.....people were very nice that worked there
that i had to leave
Location, shuttle buses to train & Denali, helpful staff cleanliness.
a bit noisy at times
Comfy stay before heading out camping for 3 days. Had a convenient shuttle which we took advantage of: pick up from Denali train depot, transport down the hill to the local restaurants, and shuttle to meet our camper bus at the WAC early the next morning. Friendly shuttle driver and employees at check-in. Enjoyed our stay!
The only problem during our stay was not having internet in the room, but we were able to go to the lobby to connect.
Check in was easy, the room was very clean and comfortable and the surrounding lodge area was well maintained.
We purchased a trip on the train to take a relaxing couple days off from work. We slept in till 10 on Sunday and missed breakfast and then realized we needed to leave on the 10:45 shuttle to the train depot. I was told there was no cab. Not relaxing.
It was a very nice room with a nice small balcony. Well maintained and looks nice.
The walls are quite thin, and you cannot help but overhear your neighbors. Fortunately, ours were relatively quiet, but if next to a more rambunctious group, it would be very frustrating. The room was quite far from the parking lot. Given the price, it would have been nice to have been offered bellman services.
Heard noise through the walls when people showering and pipe sounds
Convenient walk to town. Good restaurants and beer. Hotel is a good value for the money.
Very hard beds. Not as clean as I would have liked.
Location. Shuttle vans convenient. Patio was great. Grounds and views are great.
Ther was a water hammer bang every minute or so. It was not a problem in our room but it kept our friend awake all night.
The rooms were clean and spacious enough for our needs since we spent most of the three days within the park. Parking was somewhat of a hassle but manegable. Staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations.
The best place to stay and relax overnight and then get you Denali National park adventure early in the morning. Comfortable bed nice view from the balcony. Delicious food at the restaurant. Breakfast at 5 am. Quick check-out: just drop your keys in the box....
It was almost impossible to find the rooms and the bathroom was miniscule -- even the sink didn't fit inside.
Staff very friendly and helpful. The flowers and landscaping made the property very appealing. Also liked the hospitality gift, esp the caramels.
I recall thd gift shop having a better selection. Don't like seeing things 'made in China' and other places when Alaska has fabulous artists. More Native made crafts!!
Little farther away from Denali National Park than I expected but it was still walking distance if you are up to a 1/2 hour walk.
There was a scheduling conflict with our reservations with Denali bluffs and they upgraded us for the same price to their sister hotel Denali View Hotel which has a beautiful view. I was extremely impressed when we arrived in our room and there was a handwritten note from the manager of the Denali bluffs hotel apologizing for the inconvenience! Would book with them again!
The only dissatisfaction with the Denali View Hotel I had was that the restaurant there is very highly priced.
When I called before hand was told wifi worked in room. It was spotty.
Location is great. One of the few hotels very close to Denali
Close to Denali National Park. Staff very helpful with luggage.
Motel not hotel. Rooms lack appeal.
the whole package also the transfer bus if you need it and the short distance to the park
Location was great.
I thought it was expensive for what you got.
The room size and views located next to denali. Pick up shuttles pick you up for tours.
Prices for food is very high, as are gifts.
