Clean cabin, quiet, wifi, shuttle service very good, was able to get ride to park at 6:30 in the morning.
Charged too much for breakfast buffet, not a good value but only place around
locations was good for our needs. price was good for a basic room we only used to sleep
problem with wifi. staff finally said they have problems with apple products. show advertise that. problem with t.v. also. no in room instructions when t.v. says you need to auto search channels. could not find any way to do that so did not watch t.v.
A toilet and a bed are in the same space.
We arrived at Denali Cabins on Sep 08. Departed from the cruise terminal and arrived at 9pm. Their shuttle was prompt in picking us up and the lady who helped us with our luggages was very strong. We were amused to see her carry me and my mom's 2 big heavy cases alone. The cabin was stone cold when we arrived and putting the heater to the highest did not helped. I was having a fever so i was practically shivering. Thank god i managed to get hold of the staff to bring us portable heaters which was very kind of them to do so. The bathroom did not have any dividers at the top so naturally the cold air from the room would seep through. The water supply was low and showering with the cold air from the room was painful. It only really heated up the next day at night when we came back from our tour in Denali National park. The room was rather small as we did not really have space to put 2 big luggages and 2 small ones. They do not have any hair dryer nor hot water boiler but thanks to the previous reviews, we brought our own hot water boiler. Overall, a decent cabin, it looks simple and comfortable if you do not have much luggages. The only thing i hate was the water supply and there were not much space to put our toiletries. We had to put all the toiletries on the floor. I like staying in the cabin for the wilderness but hate having to shower because it takes too long to have enough water to thoroughly clean myself. Nice friendly staff and good shuttle service.
Totally hate the low water supply in the bathroom, lack of space to put toiletries in the shower area, the heater that took forever to heat up the room, no hairdryer, no water boiler.
Pleasant staff, great facilities include outdoor hot tub, plus excellent food on premises and also across the street < 1 mile north at a fine gourmet restaurant. Half way between Anchorage and Fairbanks, minutes from Denali Park.
Dogs not allowed -- big fee if try to sneak them in. However, might have success making a reservation with an assist dog, which would be free.
Cancellation policy much to struck, terrie customer service from Michelle and Jen. Cabin stunk. Bathroom filthy, paid for a double, two- rooms only got one. Noisy. Bathroom walls only partitions. Peoe in hot tub well after 10:00pm. Burnt out light bulb on porch. Cost much too high for the what is provided. The location does not make up for lack of service. Will recommend to family, friends and aquantenced to not stay at Denali cabins at mile 229.
The cabin we stayed in, a "single" cabin, was on the small side with no room to put luggage except on top of the dresser which was then in the way to put anything on top of the dresser (ie purse, keys, etc) and not much room to move around. The bed was very comfortable and had a good nights sleep. The cabins were quite without "neighbors" right next door or above or below you as in a regular hotel.
We stayed two nights and did not have any housekeeping done. I do not mind re-using towels and usually request to keep existing towels for short stays. However, was disappointed to come back at the end of the day and the bed was as we had left it - unmade. I also had called to verify the time breakfast was available at the on-site restaurant and was told 5:30am, only to find out it was not until 7:00am. This did not fit in with our schedule to be on the road by 6:30am. The shower had almost NO water pressure and it was hard to take a shower and get the soap off. It is a good thing I did not have to wash my long hair, as there would not have been enough water to do this. The water pressure in the sink was fine, so just a problem with the shower - maybe it was a controller or something to limit the amount of water used - but it did not allow sufficient water flow.
Felt semi-private, much better than the hotel atmosphere, staff was very friendly.
No wi-fi if you have an apple device
Bathroom, filthy, noisy boardwalk, hot tub used after 10pm, room smelled of sewer gas, staff never inquired about the stay at check out. Reservation folks had very little customer service. In comparison would have stayed at Grande Deni and certainly will not Stay at Denali Cabins ever again!
food was outstanding, staff was fun friendly and helpful, location was beautiful.. couldn't ask for more even though we stayed after labor day and most things were closed we had a great time hanging out
the fact that the bathroom roof was open to the room...
The cabins were enjoyable, very cozy...not a lot of fluff but that was ok by us. very comfy bed and great staff.
The sound of the traffic from the highway was just slightly annoying...mainly once it was quiet and ready to sleep. If your a light sleeper might be a tad difficult to deal with.
Everything, the facilities were quaint, clean and homey. Simple cabins that were fun and comfortable. And of course the views are wonderful in Denali!
The people or staff were excellent you could not ask for more.
It is so far from everything that if you don't have a car to get to town you feel stranded. They have a shuttle but you hate to bother them for just a drive into town to get lunch or breakfast. The cabins were not clean. cob webs in the corners, poor lighting at night, bulbs were burned out on porches. no coffee pot in room.
Hot tub Service at restaurant
Online booking agent did not advise as to my reservation. Some areas of the wooden walkways showing dry rot. Bed was up agsinst the wall which required crawling across the bed which was not good for handicap people.
Small, view did not exist, no coffee in room, no Wi-Fi
Beds comfortable, room very small
No view, no coffee, no Wi-Fi
The onsite restaurant was surprisingly good and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is also excellent and the price is fair considering the prices of othe properties in the area.
The walls are exceptionally thin. I could here someone snoring in the cabin next door I shared a wall with.
Location and the cabin was cute
The bed was entirely to small for a couple.
Very close to Denali Park and they can book you a shuttle that will take you far into the park. Great breakfast. The staff was helpful.
location quick response of staff quiet cabin lots of hot water for showers etc.
Walls had water leak marks all over Shower was too small No coffee machine, refrigerator, or microwave
The privacy of a cabin.
Noisy road with big trucks zooming by all night and no courtesy coffee in room or anywhere. The heater took 8 hours to heat the small room and the water froze on our last night there. If it was a cheap cabin, I wouldn't mind, but it was expensive for what you got.
The place was wonderful, peaceful in a great facility. Cabin was clean, restaurant was excellent. I really recommend it.
The access to wi-Fi can be improved. It was said that wi-fi could be accessed in all facility however it was not like that. Besides that I could not connected my iPad due to a security issue.
Food was good, beds were comfy and it was close to the park.
Can't think of anything.
