great place to stay
The room was freshly decorated, was clean and facility quiet. Good breakfast. Would stay again.
Pool, breakfast included
Airconditioning very loud
Recommended restaurant was not good (Pow Wow). Fitness area needs updating.
The Desert Inn was honestly one of the best single rooms I've been in for the cost. The bed was very comfy and there was a window seat in front of a window that actually opened! A great surprise after 8 hours on the road. Highly recommended. The only drawback was no coffee maker in the room.
Convenient and clean. Cordial staff was accommodating to our request.
Older facility was a bit threadbare and could use an update.
Hotel was clean and comfortable.
Railway nearby and trains rumbled past all night
Lights over bed. Young man at counter recommended a great restaurant.
Hallways needed vacuuming.
This facility was obviously recently renovated and was bright and clean as a new penny. The breakfast was excellent, including eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, etc.
This is a former Microtel so the rooms and bathrooms were quite small. I am severely claustrophobic and would not have booked if I had known.
Room was very clean. Comfortable bed. Very nice staff.
Very rough towels.needs softeners badly. Thought it would take a layer of my skin off. No elevator.
Nice people at the front desk
Very noisy and old air-conditioning in the room, very little space for luggages
Staff pleasant and helpful.
Pool and pool room needs rehab. Apparent leak in roof caused drywall to bubble. Fridge in room off and not readily usable. Smelled bad. Room had odor of dogs. Room door did not close properly.
shower, front desk AM person
Cheap price, better than other options in that downtrodden town
Everything felt cheap
Great place to stay when traveling on I-40 and need a place to stop for the night. There's even a McDonalds down the street where we got breakfast on our way out.
No elevator and our room was on an upper floor.
Cozy and quiet room.
Room was too small for the price, a/c unit was to loud, made it hard to sleep and was right near the bed
The room was about 10x10 (including the "sitting area"). The sitting area comprised of a board with a pad on it in front of the window and over the AC. The bathroom was also very small and the towels were very thin. The breakfast was mediocre.
My family stayed both on the way to our family vacation and on the way home. If I needed to stay in Tucumcari I would absolutely stay there again!
There's not really anything I disliked.
Not bad at all. Waffle breakfast, pool, and such.
Wifi stopped working in all my devices, tv had bad reception and not many channels.
No elevator, but not really a big deal.
The sheets on the bed were very poor quality, the room smelled like mildew, and the light from their extremely bright led parking lot lights kept me awake all night even with the drapes closed. Additionally, I was charged more than the price I reserved at on booking.com
Clean comfortable good location
Pool could be open later for late travelers
The overall appearance was nice.
The hotel advertised as newly remodeled. While all public areas seemed fresh and new (pool being the exception), our room only had a couple upgrades. The room was clean but tired and worn looking.
