Location and parking were great. Room fantastic. Very clean and tidyGreat heated pool and hot tub.
Happy hour isn't there anymore. Reception staff quite rude when there was a mix up with the final bill. Also didn't know about the marathon in which they closed the strip but still let me book a limo ride of the strip! Wifi didn't work in our room but was ok in reception
The location. The staff was very friendly and helpfull.
The carpets were dirty. My feet and socks were black from walking on the carpet. There were no baking pans in the unit.
Quiet, clean, considerate staff. Grounds well kept up. the fact that there was no bar or slot machines make it far more enjoyable to me. Close to the airport is a plus and noise was not a problem.
We did not have a car and my husband was not getting around too well so we were limited in our ability to get food. Next time we will know to get to a grocery store. We do no that not having a restaurant kitchen helps to keep the costs down
I liked that it was close to the strip....
I was in Las Vegas for a conference and stayed at this property. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal, close enough to walk to the strip but far enough away for peace and quiet. Will definitely stay there on my next trip.
Excellent pool & nice to be away from the strip.
It would have been nice to have a bar where we could sit & buy a drink.
The hotel was located very close to the Strip, but still away from all the noice! The apartment was spacious and the kitchen was well-equipped.
Wifi almost never worked. There was no cleaning service during our stay, which I think should be a standard in hotels like this.
Pool staff location
For some reason, the rooms were not cleand during our all stay (3 nights)
The King Suite was huge with a separate lounge area. A full sized kitchen with dining table and flat screen tv's in each room. Very comfy bed and only a short 10 walk to the centre strip.
full size kitchen, separate bedroom, quite location - still walking distance to the Strip
I have stayed 3 times in this hotel and will stay again however it needs some refresh: new towels and bed sheets. Stained carpet could be cleaned or replaced.
the spacious and comprehensive facilities. quiet location although near by developments might change this
pool side music too loud
Small, quiet place with friendly staff. You can take the MAX bus to and from the airport for $2 each way rather than the $17 cab ride for 2 miles! You can take the local bus to the grocery store 2.8 miles away. Thrift stores not far from grocery store. Max bus just two blocks away. Hop On/Hop Off tour bus just two blocks away. Coffee shop also just two blocks away.
The room was not cleaned on my third day as promised. But I then asked for clean towels and got them right away. Betty at the front office was great!
The kitchen facilities were great. The kids enjoyed the pool.
Second stay for us at Desert Rose and the facilities are still as good as our last stay 2 years ago. Apartment is spacious for a holiday rental, kitchen is well stocked with utensils for self catering and great to be one block off the strip, makes it a little quieter but you can be on the strip with all the action in a 5 minute walk. Wifi was excellent as well.
Unfortunately the complex no longer provides breakfast which we weren't aware of this when we booked but wasn't an issue at all considering the self catering facilities.
We like parking near our room and not having to fight our way through a casino on our way in or out. The room was quiet and very comfortable. Love having a kitchen with a real coffee maker! Booked for next year.
A small but important detail, some of the plug-ins (sockets) were very loose. Kind of made me nervous.
The Desert Rose is not in the middle of the strip, but there are still at least 5 casinos within walking distance. We enjoyed having a suite with full kitchen, complete with 12-cup coffee maker and both regular and decaf coffees. Would consider this resort for a longer stay.
No early check-in. Hooters' was the nearest place for breakfast -- it was unfortunate that you had to walk past their trash cans to get there. Someone who has trouble walking wouldn't think that the other casinos were easy to reach. Didn't like hearing the "elephant" stomp around all night in the room above ours.
The apartment was very clean and had a well appointed kitchen area. We were only staying two nights but it would have been comfortable for anyone staying longer and looking to make greater use of the cooking facilities.
The balcony just looked out onto a wall and walkway.
Location Bedroom separate from living area Clean
Bathroom in bedroom area No house keeping each day
Good location and value for price charged.
the place was right next to the strip so everything was within walking distance even AMPM for that late night grab
The only con was that the wifi.... meh wasnt so great, but other then that the hotel was perfect
stayed 4/5 times before, old but in good condition reasonably priced. all that we want. staff nothing i8s too much trouble, even checked me in on line, because computer was busy, also nice and quiet, easy to sleep. steve & Judy Blackpool U.K.
situated close to airport but quiet at night. No restaurant Gave us tickets to Cocos diner and it was like Denny's very good and not too much to eat. No complaints
All the comforts of home.
Very thin walls...apparently we had rabbits "sleeping" next door. Woke us up at 6 in the morning...and again at 9 :/
the friendliness of the staff!
The living room furnishings needed to be replaced..stains on couch and worn pillows.
I've stayed at the desert rose before and that's why I came back it's close to the strip but just far enough away to have some privacy and stores are just down the way
The sewer gas that comes from the city's sewage system . As much as this city brings in this is a easy fix . And it's dangerous
