I did not like the fact that each bed had 4 pillows but all of them were the same type. Feather. I would think some variety would be nice.
Location was good for the purpose of our visit. Check was relatively quick considering how long the line was.
Walked into a room that had not been clean. Was not notified that back entrance would be locked later at night and that we would be unable to access it even with room key. Bed wasn't very comfortable and room was pretty cramped.
The view of the room was awesome.
Couldn't find anything, needed a map for the hotel. Hotel under construction. States continental breakfast was included in the stay, but then was told the breakfast was $22/person. No idea where the pool or hot tub were. Room service stopped serving an hour before it stated due to them being "too busy" Wanted to use room service since we waited at the bar in the hotel for 25 min without being served. Overall, it sucked. If it weren't for the view and the company I had it would have been a total waste of my life. Do NOT waste your money on this hotel!!
Just the price..
People mover, and Volt had awesome food.
Bed pillows were awful and felt like bed was on a inclination downward. The bathroom was small and no vent to turn on. Our key card did not work at 2:00 am in the morning and they couldnt get it open till after 3 am. Coffee pot was awful, 2 cups limit is not idea for coffee drinkers. Paying over $200 to stay and no free wifi is not cool.
beautiful facility, great place to stay!!!
construction - but that couldn't be helped.
Shower wasn't clean. Hair everywhere.
I enjoyed it's location on the people mover circuit. Was easy to get to Joe Louis Arena and Greektown Casino. Did not have to wait for elevator.
Rude front desk, had a reservation for king bed and was told a king bed was not available. Was able to get a king room, however there were lights out, bed was made poorly, no trash bags, and room went from ice cold to burning hot. No fridge.
The chocolate covered strawberries was an excellent touch. Staff was very pleasant.
The valet was horrible when checking out. Room service kept getting my breakfast order wrong. Was suppose to have city view, but ended up looking inside the offices off BCBS.
The view of the city was the best part. Site seeing inside of the building was cool too.
The staff is always a little rude and they refused to honor my husband's General Motors discount. Also I feel like their rates are a little high for such small rooms. Lastly upon check in they said we didn't secure a king bed, but that option wasn't available upon booking, nor did anyone ask us to secure a king bed when I called to confirm the reservation. Overall experience 6/10.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location.
Paid $25 for valet service and had to wait over and hour and a half to get my vehicle at check out. Staff not helpful at all and refused to give me the keys so I could go get my vehicle. I was late to an appointment so I finally got my vehicle and left knowing I would call and be offer some type of compensation. When I called the manager was very rude and refused to take the valet charge off my card or give me anything to make the situation better. The room was completely overpriced and WiFi wasn't even included you had to pay extra for Wi-Fi! I would never stay here again and I hope everyone else thinking about runs fast and fear. Complete waste of money. Any of the casinos are better than this joke of a hotel!!!
Location and view were great; parking folks were very friendly, as were rest of staff I interacted with.
Kind of difficult finding the entrance; accommodations were fine but not exceptional in any way; had very poor breakfast in room.
Love the View and the room was very nice. Enjoyed our Bath Robes and slippers
How the windows are double sided so everyone could see us naked
The line on nye , the 1800 number that picked the wrong date
Loved the location. The great thing about Detroit is that it a walkable city. The hotel is right on the river (which has a lovely walking path) and either a people mover train ride (which) is also located in the Renaissance center or a short walking distance away. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and if there was an issue they quickly acted to resolve the issue. Our room had an amazing view over looking the river and ambassador bridge.
We had requested a king sized bed but the staff said they were all out of kings and queens so my husband and I were in a room that had 2 twin beds. Our maid forgot to give us towels or refresh our coffee and tea basket. However; when we called about the towels and coffee supply they were quick to correct the issue. Lastly, we had parked our car with the hotel which was busy due to the auto show but several times the service brought out the wrong car to give to us, we would eventually get the car we rented.
Great location for getting around downtown without driving.
Had to share a bed with my buddy since booking.com didn't relay my request for a double bed.
Nice atmosphere, clean rooms and lobby
I was told I could check in at 3pm. I however was not able to check in until 7:30pm. Major inconvenience.
Great room, desk staff, valet.
The Volt lounge was a nightmare. We sat for 25 minutes before I could get waitstaff; the drinks and meal was another 25 minutes, with no attention to any other needs or refills.
The staff, only 1 or 2 should find a different line of work, but the rest were wonderful. The location, view from our room was terrific. Check in and out were a breeze.Valet parking also very good, but if not valet parking the parking structure is across the road so that's was good.
The hotel itself really let the staff down. Whilst the view from our room was terrific the room was small, the bathroom even smaller, WIFI was to slow. The heating unit took some time to finally get it right, the windows made the room colder and possibly would need some kind of sheer covering.
The room was great and service I. The room was good
The wait to check into my room that was the worst experience ever and I will never come there again during a special occasion or at all maybe you should have full staff on desk for holidays and special occasions
Went downtown to enjoy a night out. Great location. Staff was great upon checking in. We aren't a very needy couple so didn't have to ask the staff for much.
The hotel reservations process would be much better if the fact that reserving your spot is not paying for the room. This part should be made very apparent. I was forced to pay cash for my room due to this mis-communication.
We did not use the shower in our room because it was disgusting. It was full of hair and some odd dried up brown sticky mess. Absolutely gross.... I said something to house keeping and she pretended to not here me and walked away. Hilarious!
