Clean, quiet, quality place that gives you a unique experience. It gives you an apartment feel like you actually live in the neighborhood versus a sterile hotel experience. It gave us a much better feel for the city and the culture of that neighborhood.

The room is clean and the staff is helpful. The location is also good. The heater gives out noise from time to time.

Comfortable room, comfortable bed, nice space, very clean. Furnishings: a small bistro table and two chairs in the kitchen section of the small apartment; a sofa and coffee table; dresser with drawers and flat-screen TV; bed and one night table with lamp; built in closet with plenty of hanging space—could have had a few more hangers. The kitchen (equipped with a sizable fridge, gas stove, microwave, coffeemaker and small toaster) comes with plates, cups, silverware, pots, etc.; very easy to make one's own meals. Great location, easy walk to the Magnificent Mile, very close to the lake as well. The heat could not be regulated itself, but it was possible to open the windows to get the room a bit cooler. Parking is available half a block away, one can get a discount if getting the parking stub stamped by DeWitt Place; however, parking in Chicago is expensive, so it was still $24 a day (weekday rate). This will be our location of choice for further trips to Chicago. The bathroom could benefit from some minor renovations. There were no hooks to hang up clothes or a bathrobe, and the wood inside the small mirror cabinet above the sink was deteriorated. It would have been nice to have a second night table with a lamp.

Comfort of the room, the well equipped kitchen, the free wifi, and the local information provided, particularly the food shop information - the Whole Food Market is absolutely first class and only about a 10 - 15 minute walk away

I like the location, the stuff were too friendlyand every thing was ok exept ... you can see down next paragraph Yes it is two things It is a big problem with the wireless , it doesnot working i asked the stuff they told me to use the business location but that was impossible because when i back to the hotel it is closed. the second problem is no fan exhaust for the odor in the bath room.

Staying at the DeWitt was just like having our own little apartment in Chicago for the night! The staff was very friendly and helpful, we enjoyed our stay. The DeWitt itself was perfect, but parking is so expensive! Just beware that if you plan on staying the night in Chicago you should plan on spending at least $30 a day on parking.

Very convenient for seeing the city. Front Desk assistant was really friendly and very helpful. Very reasonably priced considering it's so central to everything. It was lovely being able to choose whether we cooked and ate in, or went out to dine in a restaurant. Highly recommended and would stay there again. The corridor to the room was a bit stuffy - I guess it's difficult to air it... The room was fine. Heating system was a bit noisy when it kicked in and radiators could not be controlled. Room was really warm but with the windows open it helped regulate the temperature.

I forgot to follow up with an email about check-in and got a polite reminder email from Juan at DeWitt which was great. Especially true as I was arriving late on a Saturday evening. Instructions on how to enter and get my key were great and very reassuring. Lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. One block from Lakshore drive and the Lakeview trail which is great for runners like me or just for a walk. Turning the corner just outside the apartment and the John Hancock being right there (2min walk) as the first thing I saw. Also great for the Magnificent Mile if shopping is your thing. Chicago Red cta not too far to walk for further travel and a week long pass very reasonable. Great wireless and tv in room. I only used the kitchen to make tea and the fridge for beer but great to have and you could definitely cook as a good size and facilities. Comfortable and clean room and bed. When I asked about a late check-out they didn't seem keen but looked after my bag and I was given a mobile number to call but no need as Carmen was there when I came back as arranged. Would absolutely stay again and recommend to all but the most picky. As previously noted the room was very hot for me (I like a cool room to try and sleep). It was possible to cool the room by opening the windows but took a long time even though winter as the heating was so strong. This meant it was noisy in the morning as traffic built up on Lakeshore so although I got to sleep fine I tended to get woken up in the morning.

I loved my stay and I can't wait to come back. I am telling everyone about the The DeWitt, especially my family and friends. I want to thank Juan for his attention and friendliness, and for his recommendations. The DeWitt was immaculate, close to everything and a great value; it was roomy and quiet.

The location was excellent choice. I was traveling on my own, so the location and safety were important for me. The rooms at DeWitt Place were not too bad. The bed was comfortable and the size of the room was perfect for one person (it could be perfect for two people too). The kitchen looked fine though I never used as I was only there for three days. The bathroom was fine except there was some hair on the built in shelf (behind the bathroom door on the inside) and the cupboard in the bathroom didn't look clean (there were some stains on the wall of the cupboard), which wasn't so pleasant so I simply kept most of my stuff out of there. The water pressure was super low, though in the shower it was slightly better. The shower head was pretty old and rusty (at some point I had some rust fall on me). The tub was also very old with stains. There was some hair inside of the tub outlet (the hole from where water drains) which wasn't so pleasant to clean. Also, there was some specific smell on the floor I was staying (8th). It smelled dumpiness and wasn't so nice to walk through every day. And when someone was cooking, I could smell it on the stairs next to my room and in my room as well.

Dewitt Place is a relaxing place. It is a nice place, great steam shower! You have everything you need, you can cook, full fridge, very convenient location! It would be nice to know that there is coffee and hot choclate available in the fitness center. I didn't see it until the last day of my stay.

Excellent location, staff were friendly and attentive. Room was on the small side - a studio apartment for 2 people was a bit of a squeeze, but it was comfortable and clean with all the amenities you'd need for a city trip for a few days. Room was on the small side.

Location and cleanliness The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and the room temperature was difficult to control. The parking garage I was directed to told me to go next door (directly across from DeWitt, where I was charged $7 more per night
