Washroom was dated
Location, size of room, price
Room 209 at the corner with all the ventilating fans from other rooms right behind the kitchen

Room we were initially given did not have the queen bed we had booked, instead it had one full, got switched to a room with two fulls. Beds way too soft; had to open window because it was way too hot-then much too noisy. Air would have been good. Elevators slow and somewhat scary. A studio apt. building playing hotel.
Staff very helpful
The wifi in the rooms kept dropping and was almost unusable in the evenings - but this was not a huge issue as the Lobby's wifi was always fine
Really central location, excellent staff, definitely value for money! Highly recommended.
the room during sleep is a little bit hot
kitchen is okey
The room could have used a touch up: the fridge was old, the shower head needed replacing and the toilet wabbled, but overall it was good.
The location was great: I had a view of the lake out of my window. It was pretty far from an L station, but buses were reliable. The place was also really quiet. Even though I know I had neighbours, I couldn't hear them.
It wasn't dirty in the room. The towels were washed but still hair stuck in the fibers. The carpet in the hallway was very stained and dirty. Generally it felt old in the hotel. Nothing special. It's just a bed with a kitchen. Overnight rate is expensive for a single guest. I paid around 100 usd per night. I swear you can find better located, much much better places with much more if you pay this rate. Don't expect anything fancy but a simple room in a quite place.
Quite and safe. Location, maybe.
The bath should be replaced. It has rust, the paint is peeling so you can't have a good bath.
First of all - the great staff! Thee were so kind, with lots of patience, immediately took care regarding all the things I asked them, gave me all the information I needed, and always with a smile. The room was exactly according their description, very pleasant and comfortable. I would certainly recommend this hotel!
The kitchen counter and sofabed had noticeable stains and were slightly dingy. As someone who has worked in developing countries, I believe I have a higher tolerance for this sort of thing but this may not be suitable for others with more particular standards.
Charming hotel from the early 1900's and served my purpose. The bed was very comfortable. Suitable for solo low-maintenance business travelers or graduate students traveling for conferences that are on a 'grad student' budgets.
strange, that they want to charge 40 $ for cleaning for a stay from 2 - 5 days .....
The sofabed is hard
Safe and central. Easy to make your own breakfast
No heat control in room!
Space to spread out
TV wasn't working.
Cute, small, fully furnished apts that have an old feel to it. Very comfy bed. Staff was excellent. Great value for the amount of time we stayed. Close to everything but far enough away to where you can't hear sirens all night.
Good price for people on a budget
Being in well nice area .
No oven tray provided to cook pizzas, floors not cleaned during stay, small bathroom, wifi connection was poor, the lift system was ridiculous as there were only 2 and the staff used one to transport their goods. You could be waiting for 5 minutes for a lift to come. There is NO soundproofing. Could hear building work, toilets flushing (which was loud in our room) and could hear other rooms flushing theirs too. Washing machine after 2 washes still didn't clean clothes properly
The location of Dewitt is good, located just 2 blocks from the Magnificent Mile and 1 block from the Lakefront Trail. Cutlery provided although no bottle opener. Staff friendly
The night shift male did not open the door for me. I knocked and waited for him to open the door and I had to go in when a customer from their open the door. I was then not greeted and he denied everything. I also called front desk and never answered the phone. But the assistant manager was very helpful.
The assistant manager was very helpful and nice.
There was nothing I disliked.
The staff, the fully equipped kitchen, the location (1 block behind the John Hancock Tower and 1 block from the lake. The free landline phone for local calls. The 60 channel TV. Free coffee in the lounge.
Parking is extermely expensive in he area. Street parking is four dollars per hour and the garage across the street charges twenty seven dollars a day with no in and out privilege. Just be prepared if u do have to drive.
It was right in the heart of downtown. Walking distance to everything including retail stores, restaurants, and bars. Staff was very accommodating and friendly.
How close we were to everything!
I enjoyed walking downtown and along the lakefront path.
Brilliant accommodation at a very reasonable price
Overall the hotel was excellent, all facets get a 10 from me
Room was cold, heating wasn't working properly.
Location near the lake and Magnificent Mile was perfect. Friendly, helpful staff and very comfortable lounge area to spend time in after checkout on a rainy day.
