There is no permit parking in the vicinity and parking is very expensive... Folding luggage stands should be available for international travelers so they have somewhere to put suitcases in the room.
We enjoyed being able to walk short distances to restaurants and shops.
Very few outlets and lighting.
Cheap, great location, had everything we needed and more for a short stay.
The hotel was conveniently located close to Michigan Avenue. There was an easy check-in and check-out process and the hotel staff was friendly. The location was safe and comfortable.
No tea down stairs
Friendliness and efficiency of staff
I was staying at DeWitt for an academic conference. It was a beautiful building, romantic, perfect location.
room rate for one person should be a bit lower
WIFI AS VERY BAD,DISCONNECTION,SLOW
KITCHEN COFFEE.ALL GOOD
Parking was horrible! The cost to park in the garage was also a shame. 27 dollars every time you leave and come back. You all might want to work out a better deal with the garage company! Also the elevator was extremely cramped and small. Difficult for my fiancé and I to get in with our 1 luggage a piece.
The staff was very generous & the kitchen in the apartment was an extreme plus.
There are no individual thermostats in the rooms. The desk said they couldn't adjust the temperature. We had to open windows in fubruary. The elevators were scary.
Full sized closet And kitchen were nice.
Staff was very nice.
Having a refrigerator and kitchen was a bonus for this trip. Very friendly staff, apartment style living was nice.
The wifi is way too slow. The bathroom is so old.
The kitchenette is very good.
WiFi wasn't connecting very well.
Staff was awesome. Room was great. The French restaurant me petit Paris one block away was so fantastic we went twice
Having to ask for more toilet rolls at reception
the space and having kitchen
pricy parking and charge you each time you park your car
The bed was so noisy when you moved!
The location was perfect for our needs, loved the separate living area and kitchen
I had booked the room because there was one bed and a "sofa bed". The sofa bed was a futon and it was broken, it would not lie flat. The hotel was full, so I could not move rooms. I told staff that they should not advertise a sofa bed, when it was far from that. The futon was very uncomfortable.
The staff was great. I, unfortunately, had been talking with someone in the hotel lobby area and walked off with my purse being left under the table. I left the building for about a half hour just to walk around and went back to my room and realized what I had done. Luckily, someone had seen what I had done and immediately took it to the front desk. The staff took good care of it until I retrieved it. I liked that the hotel only allowed you in the hotel if you had a room key, or if you rang the door bell. It made the hotel much more secure. It was a great location, great price, and nice rooms, even if a little small. But, I liked that there were kitchens and we could fix our own meals if we wanted to. The bed in the room was good, but the "sofa bed" was not. I would stay here again, though, just not on a futon.
Only points mentioned above
As above. Value for money and I have reviewed it in this context. Ok, the lift is a little slow and the room a little tired (inside bathroom over-basin cabinet, stains on kitchen work top). But this isn't a five star place with five star prices. We stay here whenever we are in Chicago because of price, location and being able to self cater.
Maybe I just had the dated room in the complex. There was chipping paint, and the ancient smoke detector cover was missing. That left an unsightly hole in the ceiling. The floor felt sticky to touch so I kept my shoes on. It was warm in my room; you do not have access to heating and cooling controls so I was told to open my window.
The front staff was extremely cordial and helpful. The location was very close to major shopping and restaurants.
Wifi connection was slow and got disconnected often
The general aspect of the hotel was old and dirty (very specially the carpets). I stayed in Room 606. The bathroom really needed to be renovated. The bath was so old and damaged that it looked dirty. The kitchen was also old and dirty: I wouldn't dare to cook there. And the sofa was also old and stained. Poor internet wireless connection.
The staff was great (specially Ms. Nia), the room was big and the bed was new and confortable. But these are the only good things I can say about the hotel.
Wonderful staff! Absolutely will be coming back!
The wifi connection was poor. Shelf of the bathroom seemed not clean.
The view on the lake was great! We can see the sun rise in our room. Staffs were very kind and helpful. They did not provide breakfast but you can buy something over the street and enjoy it in the lounge of the hotel, with complimentary coffee.
Older facilities...clean. Small bathroom and very old plumbing / fixtures
Location - short walk to MI Ave and Rush Street. We managed to get at discounted price-approximately 1/3 of published price. Would have been very unsatisified at full published price.
The art in the hallway. I really didn't want to walk out of my room to see a nude pregnant women.
