Best location in Chicago! Hands down. Super value
Fridge can get noisy at night, appliances are somewhat dated.
I liked the location close to everything could walk
Location is amazing. Staff is great. Laundry facilities are nice.
No views, but who cares? :-)
Liked the price. Having a kitchen was great. They gave us a room with an extra bed. Very comfortable.
The staffs were really friendly and actually kept something I left back there for about 4 days till I called. The location is amazing! You cannot ask for anything more; shopping at your doorstep.
The toilet was rather noisy and the lift needs a little upgrading as it was small and slow. Another thing that needs serious upgrade is their wifi service! It was so slow and only works in certain part of the room.
location and price.
The people at this hotel are very kind and courteous.
We loved the location at DeWitt Place, it's really near to the key places of Chicago. The facade and the reception are pleasing. The price, considering the location, definitely is interesting
We were disappointed about the fact that rooms are cleaned only for short stays (3-5 days), we stayed 8 days and we had to take care of everything. The bathroom and closets have to be upgraded or at the very least better cleaned. The photos on the web are a little bit different from reality.
Fabulous location, and excellent value, clean, quiet, I will stay there without doubt when next I visit that magnificent city of Chicago.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The kitchen was nice and well stocked with accessories and it looked like they had done some nice updates to the interior of the apartment. Great location
the bathroom was small, but clean. The elevator took you where it wanted, not necessarily where you asked...two or three times it took me to floor 7 and 8 when i pushed for 6....just an inconvenience, and actually a bit comical!
Heat on and off
The kitchen made it easy to save money on food, and the location made it easy to save money on parking around the downtown area.
There was mold in our room, and they sent someone to clean it, but when we returned it was still moldy under the blinds because she didn't loft the blinds even though I told the front desk, she only cleaned what she could see. The elevators were slow and often held up by house keeping with large carts, and I wag in the 8th for with small kids.
The location .The staff where very friendly and helpful .
The bathroom in the apartment .
Price was a great value, building is three blocks to Michigan Ave., and it's great to be able to cook if/when you want or to save some cash on eating out. The rooms are functional, not luxurious but the location is very good so if you're on a budget but don't want to be way out in the suburbs away from all the museums and shopping.
The bed is far too firm, gave lots of back pain. Also, it's not a "dislike" but the building is older and has lots of noise from pipes and radiators so just be aware.
Rooms have appropriate space, are confortable. Excellent location. The hotel is close to everything. Staff is very very friendly. The price is great. Very afordable. Amazing value for money. Loved common room in the lobby, coffee, TV.
Internet service is awful :(
Comfortable bed Clean suite Great value for money Excellent location Excellent friendly staff
The price. And I got a spacious room with a view on Lake Michigan
As DeWitt Place is rather small and I didn't have a good map of Chicago, the hotel was rather difficult to find.
wifi signal is very bad
its location. the staff are friendly
it needs some renovations to get a better look. furniture is old and sofa was black because of dirt.
Could hear neighbor next store snorting. woke me Up!
bed was comfy as well as the kitchen was very useful. staff extremely nice and friendly!! complimentary coffee in the lobby.
the heater as well as the refridgerator were EXTREMELY loud. we woke up at least 10x a night due to noise. i could live with a consistant brumming noise but it was more of a klicking every 30mins. you cant control the heat (or at least we didnt know how to do it) - the temperature was fine but we couldnt turn the heater/noise off. we unplugged the fridge the second night so it got a little better. bathroom very very small. everything was clean but furniture and facilities are really old so it kinda still felt a little grubby. wifi in the room was very bad. didnt work for most of the time and then it was very slow. worked perfectly in the lobby though.
Location Price Front desk staff Convenient and affordable parking
Room was very hot Smelled like mold Not clean
De Witt Place was very good value, well appointed in a great location. I would stay again here and will certainly recommend it to others.
Wifi was a bit hit and miss in the room. Worked OK in the lobby and lounge.
location, friendly helpful staff, well equipped kitchen, view, good reception area/sitting room, good pricing
shower door rather worn, faucet in shower/tub dripping, tub enamel chipped, bed in odd position due to room layout, heating cannot be adjusted; overall impression: nice place that requires some serious maintenance (which might drive the price up)
The architecture. The location. The staff.
The coffee. The bed. The bathroom.
