Location suited us.
Didn't seem to have serviced our room all weekend, and no kettle despite requesting one. Had to boil water in saucepan.
Location of the hotel was excellent, the neighbourhood felt very safe too.Lots of space in the room.
Bathroom was very old, desperately needed to be renewed. Fridge was noisy and sometimes there was a smell of drains.
I like the layout of the rooms. Terrific, friendly, knowledgable staff. Spectacular value. Perfect location.
The bathrooms could be a difficulty for some. The deep tub is great, but high sides may be difficult for some.
Older hotel with TONS of charm, a block from Lake Michigan, easy walking distance to EVERYTHING. The room was great, kitchenette had everything I needed for cooking, towels in bathroom were plentiful, big and soft. The bed, I swear, was the most comfort bed I have ever slept in!!! this will be my go to hotel in Chicago from now on.
flooring was a bit sticky and odd feeling. would be nice to have a Continental breakfast offering in public lounge area.
I loved the history behind the building and even though you could hear the plumbing all night, it was fun because the building is so old.
The heat was not adjustable, water pressure was low and plumbing was extremely loud.
it was exremely hot in our room and we did not get the room we booked - 2 double beds instead of queen.
the room was berry good,is like an apartment
the shower it didn't has to mash pressure
Great location and parking garages close by and good price.
Location is great and the price you get is not bad.
I arrived late and I am grateful there was someone to received me after a 10 out flight delay, but they also were really pushy on me giving them cash at 1 am for the whole stay. I found this really annoying since I had paid in advance for the first night, meaning they could wait for the next morning for me to get cash on the ATM. I also got bitten by bedbugs multiple times.
I loved the kitchenette it was very convient. The hotel was really clean and peaceful.
I didn't like that you couldn't control the heat. They didn't have it on long enough.
staff is very unfriendly specially this one latino heavy set man. I'm handicapped I asked for assistance with my suitcase which he refused to provide. I bet he would've provided help if I paid him. Plus when I complained about accessibility he had other staff threaten me that they will kick me out of the hotel.
The hotel is conveniently located in town but on a quiet street. Parking is just across the street.
The bathtub had chipped and flaking paint and the window leaked cold air.
Each apartment had everything that a traveler wants... even a fully equipped kitchen. Staff was very kind, especially the guy that is there at night.
Location, staff, but needed kitchen utensils, cooking utensils
It was missing kitchen cooking pans etc
Friend, clean and comfortable!
The place is lovely. Very very nice personal. You could take air, walk along the river...
Best value for money if you want to stay near the Loop, especially if you consider how much you will save by having a fully equipped kitchen.
Just little things: the iron wasn't working (they replaced it) and the toilet was making an annoying noise every once in a while.
I loved the hotel and its location of everything around it. It's quiet and really vintage. The convent store across the street was great and not too expensive either. Thanks
The bed was not that comfortable and it was squeaky and the refrigerator freezer didn't stay cold
Location convenient and secure. The room décor was nice and comfortable, we felt as if we were the only ones on the floor.
I didn't like that there were no luggage carts for the hotel, considering you had to park in the parking garage across the street underground.
The staff members were very nice and very friendly. The lobby, elevator, and halls were very nice. It is a very good value and for $88 a fine accommodation.
The room was a bit down at the heels. The countertop was old formica and badly stained. there was laminate flooring over carpet I suspect. The bed made a terrible racket when you got into it or turned over.the water was plumbed backwards in the bathroom sink so if you didn't think you brushed your teeth in hot water.
Price and location, also cheap valet parking across the street. Good, well-stocked kitchen
Not a place I would recommend for shorter stays. Pay a little more for cleaner towels and sheets (linen were very old and discolored). May be a better choice for people looking for an extended stay although the wifi was horribly slow and the staff often was nowhere to be found.
Location, and staff were pleasant
Wifi signal strength wasn't the best
