TV wasn't working.
Cute, small, fully furnished apts that have an old feel to it. Very comfy bed. Staff was excellent. Great value for the amount of time we stayed. Close to everything but far enough away to where you can't hear sirens all night.
Good price for people on a budget
Being in well nice area .
No oven tray provided to cook pizzas, floors not cleaned during stay, small bathroom, wifi connection was poor, the lift system was ridiculous as there were only 2 and the staff used one to transport their goods. You could be waiting for 5 minutes for a lift to come. There is NO soundproofing. Could hear building work, toilets flushing (which was loud in our room) and could hear other rooms flushing theirs too. Washing machine after 2 washes still didn't clean clothes properly
The location of Dewitt is good, located just 2 blocks from the Magnificent Mile and 1 block from the Lakefront Trail. Cutlery provided although no bottle opener. Staff friendly
The night shift male did not open the door for me. I knocked and waited for him to open the door and I had to go in when a customer from their open the door. I was then not greeted and he denied everything. I also called front desk and never answered the phone. But the assistant manager was very helpful.
The assistant manager was very helpful and nice.
There was nothing I disliked.
The staff, the fully equipped kitchen, the location (1 block behind the John Hancock Tower and 1 block from the lake. The free landline phone for local calls. The 60 channel TV. Free coffee in the lounge.
Parking is extermely expensive in he area. Street parking is four dollars per hour and the garage across the street charges twenty seven dollars a day with no in and out privilege. Just be prepared if u do have to drive.
It was right in the heart of downtown. Walking distance to everything including retail stores, restaurants, and bars. Staff was very accommodating and friendly.
How close we were to everything!
I enjoyed walking downtown and along the lakefront path.
Brilliant accommodation at a very reasonable price
Overall the hotel was excellent, all facets get a 10 from me
Room was cold, heating wasn't working properly.
Location near the lake and Magnificent Mile was perfect. Friendly, helpful staff and very comfortable lounge area to spend time in after checkout on a rainy day.
THE PRICES WERE REASONABLE. PLENTY OF SPACE. CLOSE TO SHOPPING AND MICHIGAN MILE.
The style and warm atmosphere in a very nice and quite neighbourhood.
The suite wasn't dirty, but it was worn out. Everything was clean, but didn't exactly appear to be so.
I agree with the other reviews-- this is no fancy place to stay, but the price was right ($88/night incl. taxes) and the location was superb. The free WiFi worked well, and the staff was friendly. I would stay there again in a heartbeat, and you should too-- just don't expect the Four Seasons!
Slow elevators, slow wifi.
Close proximity to Hancock Building and Magnificent Mile. Easy walking access to the Lake, and public transport. Small but cozy apt style living. We loved it! Stayed with my wife and older teen daughter.
There was a stench that permeated throughout the room. From past reviews it's categorized as a sewage smell. Whatever it is; it really makes a negative impact on the property.
The staff was awesome - Genesis, Nia, & Aaron were all top notch!
Microwave hasuch built up grease on door. Super grease cutter needed or buy new one.
wifi is unreliable The equipments in the kitchen are not sufficient The bathroom was just not good, small and need urgent reparations
the hotel is near the magnificent mile and you can reach the loop even on foot A metro station is also near the hotel The neighborhood is safe Nice staff
The building is really old, specially the elevator.... you spend several minutes to go down and up. It is just for a couple, not three because there is no much space. The bathroom is very small and you dont have any place were hang a towel or keep things.
great if you stay a few days because it has kitchen with oven, microwave, fridge.... you can save some money! we were three and it was no so confortable because the third one had to sleep in a not cofortable couch.
No automatic daily house keeping (cleaning) service included if guests stay for more than 5 nights. That policy which was not explicitly published at booking time is understandable if guests stay several weeks or more. For guests who like in my case stay 7 nights it appears not consumer friendly. Housekeeping would only make up room after the guest requests for it on day-to-day basis.
Great convenient location
smell of sewage from toilet
Staff were friendly and excellent in communication
Condition has deteriorated Extremely small bathroom even for a little person WiFi only reliable late at night
Location Friendly people
Really old place but it has its charm. Clean and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Close to the shopping street.
There is no permit parking in the vicinity and parking is very expensive... Folding luggage stands should be available for international travelers so they have somewhere to put suitcases in the room.
We enjoyed being able to walk short distances to restaurants and shops.
