The heating worked only sporadically and could not be adjusted manually. In addition the room including bathroom and kitchen was outdated and very dirty.
Friendly staff, excellent location, price was amazing for the location. Nice to have fridge and cooking facilities although we didn't cook.
The bathroom is definitely ready for an upgrade or at the very least the tub needs to be re-finished and grout cleaned.
Great location and value.
I liked everything about it for what it is, an excellent budget choice for Chicago.
Bed due to European slats quite comfortable Ikea down blanket :) Location and staff are great
Oven was dirty (including the broiler pan we wanted to use to heat up breakfast. Had the burned remains, fat and food from the prior guest still on it) Sofa is uncomfortable due to what feels like plastic cushions. Nevertheless the comfortable sleep outwon. Would stay here again
Very nice location.
internet was too slow to get any work done. the floor was sticky and the bathroom needed attention, especially the shower.
Very spacious and comfortable. Walking distance to center and bus routes. Quiet.
Excellence of accommodation and friendliness of staff. Very helpful indeed.
Located in an upscale neighborhood but paid half the price of any other hotel in the area. Parking garage right across the street. Hotel was located off the main strip so you didn't have to deal with a ton of cars when arriving.
- Good location, close to the John Hancock Tower, Chicago Red and a single bus ride from where I had to go - Partial good view of the lake - Nice staff
- Room had a strong cigarette smell that did not wear off even leaving the windows open (and it was -1ºC or less at night) - Cleaning should be improved (candy paper under the furniture) - In the morning, shower water oscilated a lot between too hot or too cold
Had to wait for room
The service ethos in the block is excellent. The concierge/reception clerk Kelvin was welcoming. The housekeeping team were also much in evidence. Rooms were fresh smelling and very clean. Clearly management have taken note of some guest concerns over mustiness. Location is excellent close to Chicago Water Tower and Magnificent Mile, just a block from the lake.
WiFi reception was poor on my visit.
Peaceful, very comfortable bed, amazing location, great room
The location was great, the front desk staff was very helpful.
Bathroom was clean but still had some hair Curtains are not light proof. Construction going on feels like in the bedroom next door.
Roominess, kitchen, staff for friendly and helpful! The exercise room, etc were nice even though we didn't have much time to use it. Enjoyed the wifi availability.
We were shorted towels a couple times but easily got more at the front desk. Our room was a bit warm part of the time but opened a window for a bit to cool the room down.
location - easy to walk to where I wanted to go laundry facilities room generally very nice helpfulness and friendliness of staff
on the morning I was checking out a drill was being in the hallway outside my room at about 8am so I left early - would have liked to stay in my very nice room a bit longer- obviously not something that would happen often but would have been nice if had been postponed to a later hour
Very centrally located, very clean, friendly staff, room had all we needed. Nice lounge with comfortable couches and computer to print boarding passes. We made good use of the full kitchen that had the basics pans and utensils to make simple meals. They were in the process of installing a sprinkler system when we were there - this is a very desirable (and perhaps mandated?) life safety system for occupancies where there are sleeping occupants. This apartment hotel is quite a keeper. PS - Check out the tiny donut shop (Glazed and Infused) in the lobby of the nearby Rafaello Hotel.
Facilities are dated but are mostly been renovated except for the bathtub in our room that needed replacing. Internet on the slow side. But those are minor inconveniences in respect to the overall good points.
Convenient, central location for seeing Chicago. Much within walking distance. Comfortable and very pleasant room with everything you need. Small store and so many restaurants nearby.
Kitchen and bathroom especially could use an upgrade but in no way did this have a negative effect. A newer and bigger TV would be a very good change, however!
The hotel was an excellent choice. It was close to the magnificent mile and the Navy pier. All of the rooms have a kitchen, dining area, bedroom and living room combo. The staff is very personable and well In formed about the area. Would definately stay here on my next trip.
value; having a kitchen; size of room; location to downtown
suggestions for kitchen: a cutting board, a small skillet, a few coffee filters so you don't have to box a whole box; a small lamp on the table
Location is good
Very small cramped room, absence of bathroom amenities like shampoo and soap, kleenexes, etc. Small old elevator to get up to room, no free parking lot.
price, location, friendly staff, large rooms, comfortable
low shower pressure, slight odor in bathroom
Good value for the money, close enough to walk to Grant Park and Michigan Ave.
While it was pleasant, I wouldn't call it premier, which it claims to be in its ads. There was rust in places in the bathroom, and the lounge didn't have coffee available early in the morning for my early morning departure.
Perfect location. Good bed.
