Old world charm.Newer amenities on ground floor.Easy access to many attractions on foot or by any other mode of transportation.Wonderful neighborhood.Lakeshore a breath away.Scenery and skyline sights a definite plus.

Our room was slightly small.We had no view.No "extra's".Supplied paper products,soap & etc-very spartan.

room size, everything was small it seems that it used to be a living room then they change it, the bed seems that they through. the elevators were so small.

Great location in the Gold Coast - a block from the lake and a couple blocks from Michigan Ave - in a quiet upscale residential neighborhood. Rooms include a full kitchen with all the utensils needed to cook meals. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Relatively inexpensive (by Chicago standards) parking garage available across the street.

Rooms are small - particularly bathroom. Bathroom needs updating.

The location was great and the staff very helpful.

The bathroom could be improved. While clean overall the tile grouting was missing or was deeply stained. An exhaust fan would have helped dispel steam etc.

Very dated decor, old appliances and poor bed/bedding...not to expected modern standard. Tiny bathrooms with variable water pressure and temperature control.

The staff were amazing at the hotel. From providing good restaurant tips through to sorting a problem with a washing machine. No problem was an issue. The hotel itself was great. Our room spacious and added amenities like access to washers and dryers fabulous when travelling with children.

DeWitt Place is located just perfectly! It was comfortable, clean and very quiet although there were lots of people staying. We enjoyed the singing of the birds in the morning. The receptionists were all very kind and helpful. Definately a place to recommend!

Dewitt Place is in a terrific location on Chicago's Gold Coast with apartment-style rooms. We were in #706 and had a full kitchen and studio bedroom/living room, with closets. Very nice, and while expensive, it was very competitive and less costly than nearby high-rise hotels. There's also free internet (common-use), and very nice self-serve laundry services.

I was fine with all of the following, but some people may object to: 1924- era elevators, no breakfast service or restaurant, a three block walk to the Michigan Ave/The Magnificant Mile, and a general low-key, minimally- staffed operation. This is a fine place to stay, if you're not looking for services.

The location was great,the staff very helpful.It had everything we needed and it was very handy having a small store over the road and we were able to buy a beer and fruit

Nice apartment in a very convenient location. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Toilet and basin in good condition.

Smell of gas from the gas stove that permeated the kitchen. A loose board by the bed if stepped on caused the lamp to go off and on. The top sheet was taken off the second day so had no sheet to cover the duvet. The phone didn't work. Room small and and dark.

The staff was extremely helpful. The view was great. The bedroom was large.

The bed sloped down on the both sides. The bathroom was so tiny that there was place to put toiletries. There was no recycling. The trash room had bare wires showing.

I liked the price, and the location. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The bathroom was small, but adequate, it has window air conditioners, ours was really LOUD and came on and off frequently, so much so we had to shut it off. Luckily it was a really hot night. Bed was not the most comfortable, but again adequate. Parking is confusing, they state valet, but you have to drive to the garage yourself. The front desk closes at midnight. So make sure you don't arrive late.

It`s a nice hotel in downtown.

Staff was excellent. Could not have asked for a better location.
