great location, excellent staff, clean & comfortable room Laundry facility appreciated. Would come again

The location was excellent and the apartment very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen, great to have an ice box, fridge and microwave. Felt very safe, as a lone traveller, in the area. It was really helpful to be able to use the computer in the basement (free of charge) and to be able to eg print off my boarding pass etc. The staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful.

DeWitt Place was convenient, clean, comfortable, and a good value. The fully equiped kitchen facilities were a bonus to a typical hotel stay. We would definitely stay here again when traveling to Chicago.

It was perfectly situated, close to Navy Pier and Magnificent Mile.

There was no room service available. But there werenclean towels in the closet.

Nice and comfortable apart hotel with big and clean studio. Helpful and friendly staff. Perfect location - one block from lake and about 10 min walking from Magnificent Mile. Hotel is located in silence and safety area. There are many restaurants and cafe around. Staff is very helpful.

The DeWitt is a terrific value for the amazing location on Chicago's gold coast. My room even had a view of the lake. I highly recommend it.

Close to underground station, quiet area. Good value for money if you compare it to other available hotels. Easy to check in and out. Internet access with free printing was very useful. Kitchen was clean.

The fridge was so noisy we had to turn it off at night in order to not be woken up by it, which was a nuisance as we were keeping food in it. Also the heating pipes (or something else maybe, as we couldn't find any heating switched on) made banging noises during the night. Although the room was very clean, the bath and shower curtain were quite shabby. The computer with internet access is in the basement beside the tumble dryers so it is really very, very warm down there, maybe it would be better in the lobby? Our room was at the rear of the building and very dark, facing out onto a brick wall, better to try to get a room facing the street, traffic is very light so noise from the street not a problem here. No nightlife in the area so if you want to be near some, it's not the place for you.

Toilet was broken, but we fixed it.

Staff- attentive, friendly Location- half a block from lake shore drive and half a block from the John Hancock Building and two blocks from the North End (high end shops- Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth, Bloomingdales, etc) of Michigan Ave/Magnificent Mile Amenities- all there... Fitness center, laundry, internet/computer/printer, ironing board, hair dryer, dishes, pots and pans, etc hidden surprise- roof top terrace... If they stuck a dj and bar up there it'd be perfect!

Not necessarily a dislike, but know it's a dated facility but well maintained.

Very friendly staff, thoughful and helpful. The appartment had a warm homey feel and was very comfortable. The location is excellent, very secure and safe. I highly recommend De Witt Place for excellent value for money, safe comfortable and very clean accomadation. We will definately return and stay again :)
