1. Room service is horrific which is weird as the restaurant is good. 3X
in last 5 stays the food was bad, badly cooked / served and a rip
off. This trip - $16 for a Veg Spring Roll that was two frozen ones
from Sysco cut in half, served on scattered rotting lettuce leaves.
Promised dipping sauces nonexistent and it was just past warm, not
hot. Other experiences similar.
2. Twice now the room safe was locked shut on arrival. Last trip maintenance came to open. This trip, called for them, but he just didn't show up (hence my using room service rather than lug my backpack full of gear downstairs).
Proximity to ewr is fantastic: 8-10 minutes door to door from Free
Shuttle pickup. 7Th floor (hi Club member) rooms are very well appointed
with large flat tv, usb/hdmi inputs for laptops, large work area,
lots of power and great lighting options from ambiance to working light.
Good restaurant downstairs, staff overall very good.
