The view was mesmerizing , Lady Liberty. Close to Exchange Place path station.
The ventilation system is too loud. The toilet ventilation system was clogged and not working, the toilet paper should be softer. Kitchen table not flat enough.
The apartment is great. Very Clean. Close to the Path and Paulus Hook. Very good for the one who want to be close to Manhattan and also far from the craziness of midtown Manhattan. Rates are very high, but so are the ones in Manhattan and you would not get an apartment like this there.
Check out time was 11am sharp. My flight was late at night and there was nothing we could do to negotiate a later check out of the apartment.
Good and clean and safe area. Perfect view!
It takes up to 40-45 min to get to the center of Manhattan and taxis will ask extra for toll since this in in Jersey city.
The apartment was nicely furnished and equipped with all necessary things that are needed for 10 days stay.
The air conditioner was a little bit noisy
Quiet but only a stone throw from the Financial District of Manhatten
The views from the apartment were amazing.
Reason for booking this apartment was we wanted to do our own catering. Unfortunately the cooker was out of order for 4 of the 8 nights and also limited dishes in the kitchen for doing a roast dinner.
This property is amazing. It's basically @ 50 story luxury apartment building with some of the apartments rented by the day (they call it corporate housing) and they have all the amenities of home and then some!!! Fully furnished one or two bedroom with everything you need (pots, pans and utensils) and even a fully stocked grocery on the rear corner of the building. Roof top pool and hot tub, lounge and fitness center round out the luxuries that beat a regular hotel room hands down. Oh man, you won't believe the views of the Manhattan skyline and statue of liberty from the floor-to-ceiling windows. You can park your car in garage underneath ($20 a day) and walk two blocks to the PATH station (a direct transit train to lower Manhattan) and then jump on the subway to get anywhere you want in NYC. It's sure beats driving in the city. Room Tip: Ask for a corner room with views of both Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Awesome!!!
Not a thing...
Very clean, well-equipped apartment with a lovely view. The market is next door. The light rail and the ferry are just a few corners away and the path station is in a 5 minutes walking distance. We stayed in Dharma with our 20 months old and got a baby cot for $50 and a highchair for free. There is a children's room on the 11th floor at the gym next to the yoga room. Dharma has a storage locker on the 6th floor, and we got the keys for the kind doorman, so we had some extra time without luggages between the checkout and the leaving. It is important to know, that this apartment is located in a residential building, the reception is not operated by dharma. To be honest we had never met any of the stuff during our stay, but they responded promptly to our emails.
The cot was really small, approximately 1 meter long, so our toddler could not stretch out, and there were no mattress in there. We really missed a coat/hat rack. There were a few hangers though in the closet, but because of a giant mattress was stored in it, we could not tuck anything in. The worst for us was the lack of a hoover, a tiny broom is not enough for keeping the cleanness. It would have been lovely if we had some candles or a torch in the apartment in case of a power failure, which we had once for a few hours during our stay. Overall highly recommended for those who like a more independent stay than a hotel could offer.
I loved the view from windows!! The luminosity at the apartment was wonderful
Nothing that I din't like
Ease of access to venues.
The snow and the cold weather.
Very close to lower Manhattan, just 4 min ride from Exchange Place station which is five minutes walk from the apartment. Ferry service to Manhattan which is cheaper on weekends to compensate for the path station closure. 15 min walk to another path station with direct train to Midtown. We stayed on the 40th floor and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered marvellous views of JC, the Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan. The apartment was clean and spacious and it was perfect to relax there after a busy day in Manhattan. Also quiet; I've never been able to get such good sleep when staying at a hotel in Manhattan where there are street noises all night. The grocery store in the same block had everything we needed for breakfast and other meals with lots of organic options and a lunch buffet. I'd also recommend the City Diner (31 Montgomery St just two blocks from Dharma Suites) for breakfast or lunch. If we come for another visit to NYC, we're definitely staying in Dharma Suites again.
We loved everything about the apartment. Only negative thing was that the Exchange Place path station was closed for renovation during nights and weekends so we had to walk home from Grove Street station when staying late in Manhattan. Also the rides to & from Manhattan on the path train can get a bit pricey at $2.75 for a single ride (not included in the unlimited rides MetroCard). Consider getting a SmartLink unlimited pass if you are going to travel to Manhattan more than once daily.
Loved the location. Proximity to the PATH and NY waterways is just great and can get you anywhere.. The views from the apartment are breathtaking and beautiful. The waterfront is fantastic to spend some quiet time. A big plus plus for this location.
location, view, fully equipped
reception staff unfriendly location by taxi is not ideal: you should take taxi to WTC Conrad hotel and then the ferry, otherwise taxi to New Jersey is far too expensive
spacious apartment with great views
nothing to dislike
1st time stay in NJ, the views are stunning. PATH was easy - but use boat taxi - even better. Walk/run the boardwalk - picture postcard stuff early morning - before 0700hrs.
Loo roll - the apartments are stunning, fully equipped with everything you need, only to be let down by 'value' loo roll in the bathroom. It's definitely not a deal breaker, just not in keeping with the rest of what you get.
we stayed on the 46th floor suite 4603 the view was amazing we looked at Manhatten and on the other side there was New Jersey and overall i would give this a 10 superstay in a fantastic city
The Scandinavian style , floor to ceiling windows, clean , modern well equipped and close to Manhatten. The waterfront walk we did every evening looking across to Manhatten was excellent. Quiet safe area with plenty of grocery stores to stock up.
That the connection was to lower. Manhatten so we had to get across to Manhatten, albeit short trip but then change to get anywhere. Local area lacked much character except for the water front walkway but it felt really safe.
The location and views were great,a great option with a young family and the grocery sore downstairs is great, plenty of eating options close and an easy trip by PATH to Manhattan.
The bed was rock solid and pillows so thin might as well gone without , nearly everything in the unit is IKEA which is not all bad but for the dollars spent expect decent pillows.
expensive, but it is NY
The location is superb. Two minutes walk to the ferry which will take you direct to WTC (7 min crossing), midtown or uptown. Two minutes walk to Hudson Bergen Light Rail for connection to PATH and metro rail. Excellent grocery store Hudson Greene in the same block as the suite so that you can cook up a storm in the gourmet kitchen.... or if you prefer.... go to the Iron Monkey for beers and dinner one of many eateries in the area. For retail therapy catch the HBLR to Newport Mall where you will find all the shops you need. For business or pleasure nothing could be better.
The apartment standard met my expect. Great location and proximity to all the major places. Mall, church, train station, restaurants, post office, etc I also loved viewing the city of new york from my bedroom. Pls provide thick window shutters.
Comfort Like living instead of traveling
Closest metro station is closed on weekend. The last ferry from Manhattan is before 10:00 pm is not convenient.
- Amazing views - Escape from the busy city of new york - Short trip across the water by ferry is great fun - Easy access to Path station to get to WTC and New York metro - Did I mention the views?
- Couldn't check-in an hour earlier despite requesting it so had to wait around - New York Metro and Path system are separate so unlimited Metro pass doesnt cover Path station usage. Gets pricey having to pay for a family of 4 people to get to-from NY every day for a week.
Views from apt 38th floor were beautiful, swimming pool area on the 11th floor is great Modern flat Clean Confortable
A bit price...3 nights after all taxes cost at the end of our stay $1003.00 for a 1 bedroom apt for family of 4. Bedroom have a great view but blinds have no blackout, in summer time is too bright very early in the morning, when is day time no more sleep!!
Nice, clean, great view!
