Clean, friendly, quaint.

Friendly and helpfull staff, clean, good breakfast. Good value for money. Good location for shopping and quite near from the subway.

Good location, close to center of town and BART. Lots of free parking available. Friendly staff. Large room with small refrigerator and microwave.

A bit close to the freeway so you might not like the noise. Also, not exactly romantic!

Staff was outstanding as was continental breakfast, especially fresh perked coffee, both reg and decaf, as well as freshness of fruit, rolls, etc.

The hotel is 15 minutes walking from the bart station.

The hotel is located between two highways, so there's a lot of noise at night.

The guests were quiet but friendly. The staff was courteous. I wasn't expecting 4 stars. Everything was clean and professional just as I hoped. I was not disappointed.

Highway noise, did not seem clean, spiders and bugs, uncomfortable bed, small towels.

It is very close to my daughter, has plenty of parking and quick access to the freeway. There are several very good restaurants within walking distance. This year I had a refrigerator, which was a great advance over my room the year before.

The air conditioner was just a window model, It took awhile to cool the room down, although it did gring the room down to a comfortable temperature.

Shower was clean, breakfast was better than some of the other inexpensive motels. No one stole our bicycles.

Location, nothing else...............

A very nice small motel, close to family and downtown. Great price and nice room. We will return when we next visit our family in Walnut Creek. The down town was a wonderful place, and the ride up Mt. Diablo beautiful. See you soon.

Good location to where I needed to go.

the swimming pool was green and the landscaping was not well maintained. The ivy growing on the awnings over the front doors needed to be trimmed. I had to duck to get to my car.

There is no a/C. It has swamp coolers, but not in the bathroom. So the bathroom was very hot. And the only mirror in the room was in the bathroom so I couldn't do my hair or make-up anywhere except in the hot bathroom. Also, there were bugs in the room.

The above, and the service was lame. When we were trying to check in the attendant was on the phone and ignored us for her entire conversation. This was really annoying, especially because her phone call was about her drunken night the night before.

This hotel reminded me of many in the Eastern United States - simple, clean, comfortable without being stuffy, and nicely decorated right down to the iron headboards. The breakfast had many choices, all fresh and delicious. The location is perfect for people without their own transportation, but also has enough parking. The staff are attentive and friendly - very informative about local sights and some not so local as well. The room was always spotless after we had been out all day. Due to neck issues I always travel with my own pillow. I found it neatly placed, on my bed waiting for me when I returned to the room in the evening. I will be back next year and stay longer.

Proximity to St. Mary's College.

Noise. It is right under Highway 24. It was a last resort this time and, were I to stay there again, it would have to be under duress.
