This is a lovely oasis in the city. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I wish I could've stayed more than just one night :)
the rooms were clean and spacious. the gardens were peaceful and gorgeous. the food was excellent. Most of all the staff were so accommodating and friendly.
the ice machines were out of ice 2 out of 3 times we tried to use them
No management available so the staff is rude and purposefully inconveniences guests. Amenities are out of date. Absolutely worst parking situation, cars blocking fire lines and each other.
Loved the location. The rooms and the gardens are beautiful and perfect. The staff are amazing. So helpful and courteous. Ate several times at Dinahs Poolside restaurant and it was fantastic service and food.
Close to everything in Palo Alto.
Nice room. Kind of old school, but clean, roomy and up-to-date finishes. Can't beat the location for visiting the Palo Alto/Stanford area.
Large king bed room. Ground floor with patio. Pleasant staff.
Found sewing needle with thread stuck in sofa, did not report, it happens. Poolside Restaurant is convenient but a bit pricey.
Spacious. Quiet. Great service. Clean. Walkable areas. Great restaurant (even though it was a bit pricey!) I enjoyed everything and easily recommend it. Highly.
Incredible property, spacious and comfortable rooms, great pool and patio restaurant service, fantastic facilities (complimentary laundry, excellent small gym).
I honestly can find no fault at all with our stay and the property. This place is so good at the price we paid that it's almost unbelievable.
big room, nice bathroom, free laundry room
not enough parking space, price a bit high
Palo Alto doesn't really offer business travels much choice when it comes to decent hotels, so I think this one was fine based on the limited choice available.
Every thing was exelent
Bamboo floors, pond w/ ducks, falling asleep to peaceful sound of the waterfall, spacious room, very comfortable bed
Water pressure in shower was terrible, girls don't try to wash your hair!
I loved the suite that we were in, everything was provided, the staff was extremely kind and wend out of their way to ensure my elderly mothers comfort. They were great with my Service Dog.
I was disappointed that the 800 building did not border the ponds. The photos made it seem like all the rooms had a view of the koi ponds, this is not actually the case. BE SURE TO ASK FOR A ROOM FACING THE PONDS.
If you are going to stay in Palo Alto for some time, the best place to stay is Dinah's Hotel! First of all, because of the perfect location. The Hotel is located in the Silicon Valley in 5 minutes away from Stanford and the other tourists attractions. Secondly, the territory of the Hotel is beautifully decorated in Asian style with decorative petit statues and small bridges across the pool with gold fish. In addition, rooms are also very good decorated and always clean, staff are very friendly and quickly sympathize. So, it is perfect Hotel.
Size of room. Pillows. Lagoon.
I'm usually not picky, so I hate writing a bad review, but this deserved it. While the idea of the ponds and outdoor garden are cool, I don't sleep outside. The room was clean but the decor and furnishings were old and outdated, and seemed to be a hodgepodge of pieces cobbled together. I have had nicer furnishings in a Hampton Inn or Hilton Garden than these were. The mattress was hard on the edges and swayed in the middle. The shower door wouldn't stay closed and the rubber gasket on the edge was missing so the floor was wet when you exited. At $399/night, this was a huge disappointment. If you have money to burn, donate it to charity and find a cheaper hotel-at least you'll feel good about the spend.
Room is clean. The reception staff is friendly.
Not convinient location for non-car traveller.
I liked the staff and their attention to us when we arrived.
I did not like the fact that there were tons of 9 year old boys from a soccer team staying there the same night. They took over the place. I went there for my one night away from the family to celebrate my anniversary with my husband. All we wanted was some quiet. Plus, there was a horrible live band next door to Dinah's that did not end until 11:00. Not what I wanted for my one night getaway.
Very large rooms, very friendly personnel who remember you and relate to you. Wonderful gardens. As beautiful as on the pictures. Great pool with nice restaurant. A little gem. Whenever I am back in Palo Alto this is my first choice.
Kitchen at restaurant is slow or understaffed. Sometimes you have to wait rather long for your food,
lack of snack food in mini-bar
clothes bar fell down - poor plastic wall fastener - I reported it to front desk as we left. Otherwise a very nice place to stay conveniently in Palo Alto. The Restaurant was excellent as well.
Close to Stanford Pretty hotel with a large room. Great staff! We arrived late in the evening, and the restaurant was closing, but the front desk asked what we would liked, called it in to room service, and had it at our room in 10 minutes.
A typical motel, which for the price, I was expecting that. Beds were a bit stiff.
Excellent staff. We had a room next to the pond, it was excellent. The swimming pool is great. We did not try The restaurant.
Atmosphere was priceless! Loved everything about it! Staff super friendly and helpful.
The breakfast selection in the lobby was lacking.
