They have a beautiful Japanese garden.
The ducks on the ponds kept waking me up in the morning, but it was fun to watch them so forgivable.
The hotel and staff are awesome! It's noe my favorite place to stay in Palo Alto
There was nothing I didn't like!
Accommodations were splendid and the food was well-prepared and served graciously. A fine experience, indeed.
The staff is top notch going above and beyond expectations. Willing to do anything possible to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
Grounds were nice, service was good. Breakfast at the restaurant pool side was good and pleasant.
No complaints here good bargain for the bucks.
Pool side restaurant breakfast was really good....dinner menu was lacking. Food was greasy and weird flavors going on. Smokey green olives on Salmon. Ughhhh!
The staff here were incredibly friendly and helpful, it really helped make for a relaxing environment. And if that's not relaxing enough, sitting for a while and staring at the giant koi carp definitely helps.
It's a little bit noisy with sound from nearby rooms and the occasional train horns. The ground floor that border on the car park are not great for privacy either.
The staff is friendly. The hotel is clean and the fountains are a nice touch.
The physical layout is crazy and I was in the boondocks. The wifi speed was inconsistent so it hurts my value perception
Price varies dramatically depending on date - clearly catering to Silicon Valley wallets and market big enough to allow them to do so - result is I will always look for better priced options with similar comforts and they do exist.
Beautiful room on the duck/koi pond.
Needed a map.
I loved the Japanese Theme to the suite. The fire place real heated up the room and was nice. The view wasn't half bad either.
Can't think of anything
Room was clean, large, peaceful with windows that overlooked a lagoon with waterfalls. I left my windows open to hear the water. It was a very tranquil experience. Exactly what I was looking for and the price was outstanding for the quality of room that I got. I was upgraded by the front desk when I asked for an early check-in which was a pleasant surprise.
Front desk person is not very friendly. Efficient but not friendly. I hesitate to say this because he did upgrade my room without being asked. I am a return/repeat customer and have been waited on by other staff who were beyond helpful so it was surprising not to have someone like that behind the desk. When I checked out I did not have any cash, I asked the front desk person if I could add a tip for the housecleaner and he said no, that I could go somewhere else to get cash and come back. This was not something I was able to do because I had to get to an appointment. It might be nice to have an ATM on the property.
Requested first floor room and did not recieve any acknowlwdgent of this. Restaurant was closed most of our visit. Beds exceptionally good quality.
Loved the coi pond and plantings on the property. Everything was decked out in tiny lights for the Holidays in a tasteful manner. The room was spacious and well appointed. Hardwood flooring was different and gave it an "at home" feel. But an area rug would have been a nice final touch.
Hardwood flooring in rooms could use an area rug to soften things up. Pillows are NOT comfortable. hard edges and a bit bulky.
Everything is pretty good
noy enough TV stations
Gardens, huge room, comfy bed, luxury pillows
t.v. clicking on and off during the program.
Great location, very quiet, excellent staff, big, well appointed rooms.
quiet location food comfortable surroundings
A little farther from Stanford than other choices, but worth the extra drive
- No noise pollution, peaceful sleep - The redwood trees, koi pounds and buddha statues etc. - very helpful staff - outdoor heated pool (helped burn a little energy of an 8 years old boy)
The hotel was an unexpected delight. The room was beautiful, and the food at the poolside restaurant was excellent. The setting, including the waterscape with ducks and koi, was very relaxing and secluded. We'll be back!
Felt like home form home - staff in poolside restaurant really made the best start to the day - after the food.Could not fault location or facilities here.Highly recommended for relaxing!
Nothing to dislike.
Free wifi, free parking, good room service menu.
A little pricey.
