Love the flowers all around location. The towels are like wash clothes, and the sheets didn't stay on the bed. All small flat no fitted.

Safeway and Walgreens nearby. Close places to eat. Low budget. I wouldn't touch the breakfast stuff -- it's left out all day/night. Fremont Street seems a little sketchy. Not sure I'd bring my family, but it's ok for the guys looking for a place to crash before an event at Laguna Seca.

I like that it seemed like a family owned it and they took pride in keeping it nice. It was clean. There was no pool or hot tub, but that was not a big deal really

Quiet location. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast included was a bonus. No extra blankets. I was freezing, and was forced to waste electricity by turning the heater on, when just another blanket would have been preferable.

The location was fine. The rooms have incredibly thin walls and guests smoke outside rooms, creating a noise & smell disturbance. The guests adjacent to us had friends over and they were loud from 10pm until after 3am the following day. They were drinking and being loud within the room and outside while smoking. We had the suite with two rooms and our party consisted of 3 people over 70, my 8 year old daughter and myself. None of our party were able to sleep through the noise and the walls were so thin it sounded as if we were in the same room as the adjacent guests. The owner/manager refused to refund $30 from our room to compensate us for our lost sleep/discomfort. He complained about having to pay a 30% fee to booking.com and said it was our responsibility to tell him if other guests were noisy. We did attempt to call the office and there was no answer, (the owner/manager said he did not answer the phone after a certain hour because they received so many calls requesting room availability). We also asked the guests adjacent to us to please be quiet at two different times. The room was also cold, (only one of the rooms had a heater) and had old, threadbare blankets on the bed. This was an absolutely terrible, uncomfortable & expensive experience. While we were talking to the owner/manager other guests joined in and said they were disturbed by the loud noise as well.

Extremely clean, great customer service. Comfortable bedding, nice sized room and bathroom. Would definitely book here again. Walls a little thin, so some neighbor noise, but not problematic.

Can't think of anything I liked. This motel was tired and old. The mattresses were short sheeted; the blankets had holes in them; no fitted sheet so the sheets came off in the night as we tossed and turned on the old beds. Heat was either on or off, no ability to regulate. The office had a bad odor so didn't want to chance the cereal offered for breakfast. Decor was very old; shower had a moldy rubber mat and water shot everywhere in the bathroom when turning the shower on. No coffee in room. Walls were thin as well, so heard the people in the next room. We paid for the "suite" which ended up being two rooms, one bathroom, no privacy after all.

It was nice but very old. The walls were paper thin and the people in the next room were very loud. You could hear them sneeze that is how thin the walls were. And I had a suite which was just two rooms with a make shift bathroom. Very inadequate room temperature since the only unit was wall mounted in the front room. Not enough space to move around. Poor choice.

The room was clean and tidy and came with all the usual amenities. The phone system was highly deficient with horrible static. Several friends who attempted to contact us at the Inn called a number of times but failed to reach us, even though we were in our room at the time. There was no way to leave messages. A Wi-Fi signal was only available within a few feet of the office. Evidently the full service was not turned on and the staff on duty seemed clueless. This was not remedied until later that morning when the owner arrived, who offered no apology, but pointed to an antenna on the roof-- proudly insisting, "See? It works!" Otherwise, he was quite charming.

This is an excellent example of a simple, clean, fully functional and very affordable hotel (approx. $45 per night, taxes included). This is like a 1960's hotel frozen in time, in a very good way. While it does not have amenities such as in room coffee or microwave, it does have a refrigerator and WiFi and flat-panel TV. Additionally the owners are gardeners and have a surprisingly delightful and colorful array of flowers everywhere, including hanging baskets. It is a clean and very comfortable for an overnight stay and a great value for a safe, quiet and functional room very close to Monterey and the central CA coast...ENJOY!

I appreciated the location, the hotel is near everywhere in Monterrey we wanted to visit. The price was very good, allowing my husband and I to have more cash to spend on our trip. The hotel had cereal, juice and coffee available in the lobby, this helped us get our day started quicker not having to find a place for breakfast. My husband liked being able to park right outside our room, rather than a huge parking garage if we had stayed at a large hotel. The hotel is very plain, but we did not mind that at all, we wanted a place to get clean and rest after long days hiking and swimming in the ocean, then wake up and leave immediately to do it again. This hotel is great for that, but I wouldn't recommend this place to people who are planning to spend a lot of time in the room, like honeymooners. Great for outdoors people, though. I wish there had been a coffee pot in the room, not just the lobby.
