Jessica and Terry in the office were excellent with everything including being friendly. It was my mistake but I came with a girlfriend and thought I reserved 2 queen beds. The cabin we had was darling for a couple but a little small for us. It was totally my fault. I will reserve 201 next time. Ha ha

The staff was very courteous and helpful. It was cold in our room - they brought us more blankets. Very clean and comfortable. The wildlife right outside our door was spectacular. The sink and the bathtub both drained very, very slow. The temperature in the room is controlled by the office - the control for our room also controlled 4 other rooms.

Absolutely can't beat the price, very clean, comfortable and nice views. Perfect for a family vacation, or like us, just a night away from the city! Would've been great if it were closer to town or offered breakfast (they do have coffee in the lobby). Also, the front desk closes at like 9 so you're on your own if you need anything or have a problem after then. Everything was fine, but if you need ice, or something breaks its nice to not be on a time limit for assistance :).

The staff is really great there. And really, the value you get for your money is pretty good. All rooms (that I've stayed in) have had either a gas or wood fire place which is awesome! They also have DVD players and extensive television options. I was stoked to get a basketball game on that was only on limited channels. I selected "Romance" because it feels secluded and, once again, the fireplace is nice to have and not very common. The building is extremely creeky at night. It doesn't entirely bother me because I can sleep through it, but would imagine that it could be distracting to some.

Had a great stay at discovery lodge! The bed was awesome and it was toasty warm in the room. Would stay here again for sure! My wife and I are coffee junkies, it would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room but then again its close enough to town to.grab a cup of joe

The room was huge and spotless clean. Super warm and cozy with brick wall, and pine ceiling and walls. The location was great for finding food and being close to Rocky Mountain National Park and hiking.

Nothing One of the worst hotels we've ever been to. We surely won't go there again. When we got the room and tried to take a shower, the bath tap broke.... We asked to move to another room, got one with the tap in good condition, but in the evening the toilet flush tank broke, and we had water all over.... This time we didn't ask once again for another room, we remained with the broken tank and with the smell until morning, then we checked out and ran away from there. Also, we got used to have in the room a microwave and a kettle (for boiling water for coffee) in all other American hotels we've been to, but in this hotel these appliances never existed.

The location was great (just a couple of blocks from downtown Estes Park), and the value was great, much cheaper than other hotels in the area, and the hotel was quite nice...I didn't expect a luxury hotel for that price but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Also the elk on the golf course was pretty entertaining! We had to request a coffee pot in the room, and they only brought a pot, no cups or coffee...that part seemed a little cheap.
