Price was great and we were close enough to walk to convenient stores and a couple of restaurants.
The hot tub was locked up
We had heard about the elk roaming through the property and the adjacent golf course. I heard the bull elk bugling for some time so I stepped outside to see if I could get a picture. There, no more that 30 feet away, was a whole herd passing through the property. My wife was so excited she could hardly contain herself. This a a great facility with a good location. One of the highlights of our 20 day trip.
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME HERE
The wildlife outside the hotel was amazing
Bed and pillows were not comfortable.
LOCATION, ELK NEXT TO MOTEL, GREAT VIEW FROM ROOM OF THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS
NOTHING WE DIDN'T LIKE
Clean, well kept, quuet, great views
Hot tub too cool and cloudy.
Very close to town and the property overlooks the golf course. We saw herds (yes, plural!) of elk every morning. The location really enhanced out trip!
Location - short walk to town
The staff could have been more helpful. When I asked the person at the desk what the weather would be for the next day, the response was I don't know. I asked if they had an iPhone. I asked if they could check the weather which the person reluctantly did.
Seeing elk right by our unit
Sliding glass door for enterance, no window in main area for fresh mountain air
This is great place. It is an older hotel but in outstanding condition. Has real charm. Staff is great. We locked our keys in the truck and two of the staff spent at least 45 minutes to get the truck for us, then wouldn't accept money for the help. Real nice family place, family owned.
Location is very good, rooms are nice. Allowed me to park my bike near by and gave me rugs to wipe it in the morning.
It chilly and the heater was pretty noisy.
Enjoyed waking up to a great view of the Rockies and 30 elk right outside the door.
Viewing elk on golf course behind hotel
We loved the location it was right next to the golf course and when we got up there was a huge herd of elk right there! Awsome!
Walls seemed very thin, people up stairs and next door kept us up all night long. You could hear them caring on conversations clearly
Loved the location - right on the golf course so viewing elks was easy, lovely pond and walking path.
Location is good. Bathroom was recently renovated and room had nice flat screen TV. Price was good and I would return
Pillow weren't very good. Screen door was torn.
Bed was comfortable and clean, room seemed clean also. Girl at desk was pleasant
not enough light in the room. small space heater was only source of heat. would not go there in the middle of summer or winter!
Great Staff and Location
Turning into Traffic
Toilet paper wasn't folded into a triangle at the end.
nice location check in was wonderful the people there were great
The shower was tepid!
This is an older style small resort motel. Most of the rooms look over the small, attractive pond and picnic area. Be sure to ask for a room overlooking the mountains, and, in the fall, rooms overlooking the golf course, too, where the elk hang out. It was quite fun to watch them right from this property (mid- Sept/early October). This motel is next to the visitor center and an easy walk to downtown, with shops and nice little restaurants - a walking/cycling path along the golf course, lake and the river is quite nice. A good cup of coffee is available in the morning.
Many rooms do not have a view of the beautiful mountains. Be sure to ask if you enjoy a view. We would have slept a bit better with extra pillows, but didn't think to ask until we were settled for the night.
Bathroom was very small
location, Elk viewing
wi fi reception
No microwave in room, wifi very slow and had weak signal
