Extremely loud young people running up and down hallways screaming. They were drunk and woke us up 3 times. Little upsetting since this was our 20th wedding anniversary trip.
The hotel itself had a nice design, the location was good, and the staff was nice. The bed was also very comfy
I rented what was called a 'junior suite', but it didn't meet the base requirements to be called a suite. I've stayed in a lot of suites all over the world, some regular suites, some junior suites, and there are two things that define a suite: * The bed is separate from the living area * There is some type of living area, with a sofa, or at least some comfy chairs on which one can relax. The 'junior suite' I got is better described as a large hotel room. The bed was simply at one end of the room, and there was a tiny table with three chairs plopped in the middle of the room. The chairs were not chairs you could lounge around in. I ended up having to relax on the bed, same as in a normal non-suite hotel room. So if you are looking for a suite, pass on junior suite, as you will not be satisfied. I felt a little deceived.
Really liked the decor of the room, staff were very polite and helpful, room was super clean and comfortable, with a neat, chic decor. Great location.
It would be nice to have a robe and/or at least slippers.
Excellent location; next door to restaurants and walking distance to many more shops. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Although breakfast was not available there was a small fridge in room and microwave on site. Connection to wifi from room always a perk. Complimentary sake in the evenings was a nice addition. Also walk up available since I don't mind taking stairs.
Safe had a key instead of combination lock. Bathroom shower was lacking water pressure but could be related to SF drought.
TV reception was horrible, dated, paper thin walls,
Nothing - location (maybe). Union square is a very unpleasant place over the weekends.
The hotel is horrible - elevator not working, old building with no central air system, carpet on top of the squeaky wooden floor, no breakfast. We were going to stay for 8 days and shortened our reservation to 2.
The hotel is in a great location. The room was beautiful .
It was very loud outside. We heard every little thing going on in the streets.
The hotel was very clean, LOVED the attached restaurant, the front desk personnel was excellent when we checked in, but the staff the next day could have used some improvements. The room was very well decorated (except for the lighting, a little dim).
When we called down to the front desk to have our car ready for us upon check out, 30 minutes prior as requested by the woman at the front desk, the person who answered the phone was very short and rather rude. Then when we checked out, our car was not ready, why? They had brought out the wrong car. So we had to wait an additional 45 minutes in the lobby before the car arrived from the garage. We paid an extra $40 for valet parking which frankly was a joke and should have been refunded. I found it ironic that a hotel named "Hotel Diva" had HORRIBLE lighting for ladies preparing for an evening out on the town. Check with any girl on staff and they can help you figure out better lighting for any diva. Seriously.
The vale parking was great...
The price to park!!!!
Lovely modern decor! Staff extremely professional, friendly, and accommodating!will definitely go back!
TV positioned to side of bed... cannot watch without neck problems
Location was great, very close to all means of transport which we made good use of by purchasing a 7 day pass. Plenty of restaurants and bars in walking distance. Great staff. We a had a problem with noise on the first and second night as we had a room at the front over looking the street. Wasn't a problem for them, they gave us a choice of three other rooms to choose from and then helped us move our belongings.
Nothing really bad to mention.
Location good. Bed was comfortable. Decent facility.
We reduced our stay to one night. Did NOT like the surprise jump in price for the one night. Apparently the 2 night price we were quoted was an 'average' price/night. This should have been made clear from the get-go. Room size on the small side.
Small lobby, lights are very dim in the elevator.
Sake in the lobby at cocktail hour and friendly efficient staff
Decore , furniture, hard beds, small rooms, could hear everything in the halls and outside, plug access was poor . And parking expensive
Ended up booking at the Diva as a fallback when I couldn't get into my customary hotel, but I can't complain - it was perfectly comfortable, the location was great, and the staff very friendly. The decor took a bit of getting used to (think Ikea on steroids), but by the second day -- my wife and I stayed 3 nights -- it was at least amusing. Would definitely recommend it to friends or family.
Art throughout the hotel is lovely. I liked tea service especially the spa water. It's a bit noisy but bearable. I also liked that it was a walk up and had an elevator though there seemed to be problems with the elevator. I loved the accessibility of the stairs. Liked the separate sink and fridge in room.
The street noise almost made me move rooms. Room was attractive but not fully functional. Not enough accessible plugs. Bathroom vanity only really had space below and I have a bad back it wasn't good to have to bend to reach everything. One of the plugs on desk didn't work. Lighting was insufficient.
No shelf to put things on in the bathroom
location friendly staff unique rooms…. clean, large
a lot of noise from outside and hallway
It was Cute and Cozy with enough space for 3 people. The Bed was nice the TV was easy to use and the extra sink came in handy!
Small full bath, the noise outside during the night was to much to handle.
The location was so perfect for holiday activities in SF. We happened to arrive during SantaCon! Our friends were also staying and our request for being on the same floor was readily fulfilled.
The photo images on the shades are weird--a small quibble, but you asked.
Beautiful and very clean bedroom (the forniture are new and fashion) but it's a bit small. The position it's great because it's one block from union square and there are a lot of restaurant and shops near by. Very useful the water/ice dispencer in the hallway.
Our window was broken and cold air came in, it was very, very cold and the heating was not enough (the air wasn't hot, just warm). Too noisy. The shower handle was broken and it was not easy to turn it on. We reported all to the staff who told us they will take care of the problems. We stayed here for Christmas and only for 3 nights, there were always to many people at the reception so we kept the room like it was.
Comfortable bed Helpful staff Great location
Vanity for the bathroom was in the bedroom with little space on the bench.
Bathroom was cramped Room was old Hotel was in an unsafe location Walls were not sound proof, hotel was extremely noisy and not conducive for sleep
