Old lift Very dark corridor
The halls of the hotel did not smell pleasant.
Staff very pleasant and friendly.
The design & comfort
TV was held on to wall hanger by a man's belt. Holes in the wall. Electrical sockets were not all working. Hole behind TV with exposed wires.
The staff were kind and very knowledgeable and helpful at every item we ask.
The real appearance of the rooms is quite far from the pictures they post which was a major disappointment
Location close to Union Sq with so many good cafes nearby, very positive and helpful staff
The room was not worth the price I paid. I've stayed at luxury hotels from Vegas to Baltimore, and this was far from a great deal. The room was very small and the tv reception was horrid. I would not stay again.
Parking was easy and the staff was amazingly nice. The location was perfect.
Room need more sound proofing
Close to union sqaure
Overall good experience. Room was small. I asked for quiet room which meant one tucked into a corner of the hotel. Although pet friendly the small room gave my dog little room to stretch out (she is a medium 40b dog). Situated on a one way street with lots of big construction nearby the only option appeared to be the $40/night valet parking- wish I had checked out other options since that did offset the competitive price of the room.
Location was great. Close to Union Square. SoMa easily walkable. Easy to find driving into town. Staff was very nice, courteous and informative. WiFi was easy to set up and worked well.
The whole San Fransisco scene the food music and people.
I don't like the colors or the décor at all. It's very grey and black in the room, and the blinds are weird -- a picture of a woman's middle in a corset, and another a picture of thigh high boots. No gym. And aaaawwwful service on the phone before I arrived. My call got bounced around everywhere and the people answering the phone were almost disdainful of my question. Just FYI, the designer lounges were NOT busy at all during my 1 week stay, despite a big convention going on that week. The staff wouldn't tell me how often they were frequented, and wanted to get me to pay to book it. No need, they were empty. And in any case, that was impossible to do over the phone because no one cared at all about my question.
The hotel is well located near Union Square. It was comfortable / clean enough. I ordered a couple of packages and they arrived safely to me. On-site staff is nice.
The TV was old and static-laden.
I loved the modern motif of the hotel.
I paid $125.55 in the middle of winter through booking, but without notifying me the hotel then charged me $7.61, I didn't use anything - there was no minibar, never received an explanation for this charge so that's the last time I'll stay there, and I travel to SF often.
Location is quite good and a decent value for the money.
Room and bathroom are a little tight but decor is modern and comfortable!
Incredibly friendly staff!
One of the elevators was broken so had to wait awhile.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Extremely loud young people running up and down hallways screaming. They were drunk and woke us up 3 times. Little upsetting since this was our 20th wedding anniversary trip.
I rented what was called a 'junior suite', but it didn't meet the base requirements to be called a suite. I've stayed in a lot of suites all over the world, some regular suites, some junior suites, and there are two things that define a suite: * The bed is separate from the living area * There is some type of living area, with a sofa, or at least some comfy chairs on which one can relax. The 'junior suite' I got is better described as a large hotel room. The bed was simply at one end of the room, and there was a tiny table with three chairs plopped in the middle of the room. The chairs were not chairs you could lounge around in. I ended up having to relax on the bed, same as in a normal non-suite hotel room. So if you are looking for a suite, pass on junior suite, as you will not be satisfied. I felt a little deceived.
The hotel itself had a nice design, the location was good, and the staff was nice. The bed was also very comfy
It would be nice to have a robe and/or at least slippers.
Really liked the decor of the room, staff were very polite and helpful, room was super clean and comfortable, with a neat, chic decor. Great location.
Safe had a key instead of combination lock. Bathroom shower was lacking water pressure but could be related to SF drought.
Excellent location; next door to restaurants and walking distance to many more shops. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Although breakfast was not available there was a small fridge in room and microwave on site. Connection to wifi from room always a perk. Complimentary sake in the evenings was a nice addition. Also walk up available since I don't mind taking stairs.
TV reception was horrible, dated, paper thin walls,
The hotel is horrible - elevator not working, old building with no central air system, carpet on top of the squeaky wooden floor, no breakfast. We were going to stay for 8 days and shortened our reservation to 2.
Nothing - location (maybe). Union square is a very unpleasant place over the weekends.
It was very loud outside. We heard every little thing going on in the streets.
The hotel is in a great location. The room was beautiful .
When we called down to the front desk to have our car ready for us upon check out, 30 minutes prior as requested by the woman at the front desk, the person who answered the phone was very short and rather rude. Then when we checked out, our car was not ready, why? They had brought out the wrong car. So we had to wait an additional 45 minutes in the lobby before the car arrived from the garage. We paid an extra $40 for valet parking which frankly was a joke and should have been refunded. I found it ironic that a hotel named "Hotel Diva" had HORRIBLE lighting for ladies preparing for an evening out on the town. Check with any girl on staff and they can help you figure out better lighting for any diva. Seriously.
The hotel was very clean, LOVED the attached restaurant, the front desk personnel was excellent when we checked in, but the staff the next day could have used some improvements. The room was very well decorated (except for the lighting, a little dim).
The price to park!!!!
The vale parking was great...
