Beautiful grounds, excellent service, great food, very quick room service, feels like an escape from the city
Older building so it has a slight smell, leak in ceiling in hallway so had roped off, a bit far from downtown if traveling for business but in does feel like a getaway
Pool Bar outside
First room was very noisy and had to move to a less noisy room, something electrical (not air con !)
Swimming pool Grounds Outside seating for snacks
No proper sit- down dinner restaurant Air conditioner in room not strong enough
Quietness, relaxing atmosphere. Ty at the front desk provided excellent customer service.
Majority of the staff was unfriendly. No smiles. Not helpful when asking for directions. Staff seemed rushed and very serious.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, great dining experience, comfortable beds, and overall great experience.
Maid service inconsistent. Forgot to leave clean wash cloths
No wifi throughout stay , missing Tv remote took many calls to get replaced, However did get money off on stay.
The beds were very comfortable, as were the showers. The staff was able to let me stay in the same room after I switched to my third check-in. The grounds and conference rooms were beautiful. The food for the conference was delicious and presented well. The staff was courteous and professional.
My co-worker and I shared a suite the first night of our trip, because the hotel was full. I informed the staff that there would be two of us in the room, but there was only one bed. The next night when we checked in to our individual rooms, both had two beds. We were puzzled about why the accommodations were unsuitable the first night. It would have been nice to have a microwave in my second room.
Too much noise all around
Rooms were nice and clean.
The parking space were limited during the weekend. No microwave no where to be use.
The hotel was beautiful.
The hotel was holding a private party which was right in front of our room and it was kind of confusing on how to even get to our room. We went to dinner at the palm plaza. Food was good but we were ready to pay and our waiter was no where to be found. We finally went to the bar to ask for our check and when I asked for our check I was told "we are busy!!" I waited an hour for our check! And then to be told in such a rude tone "we are busy!" I was turned off. I just wanted to give them my money.
I like the deal I received from the family and friend discount!
I was told becouse it was my wedding the night I stayed there I would get a complimentary bottle of champagne! I never seen it but was still happy with my stay.
Beautiful grounds and very nice rooms.
Before I was even handed my key or seen my room, they had already taken $150.00 EXTRA out of my checking account through my debit card for "incidentals." They didn't tell me, warn me, ask me, show me any "policies" - nothing - just took it. I saw it when I checked my account that evening. My budget is tight and this caused a check to bounce. I don't call this "policy," I call this STEALING. Yes, it was returned after about 6 days. NOT okay in my book. Also, I did not experience one employee asking me if I needed help. As a single woman, I could have used a hand with my luggage, but it wasn't forth coming.
The mansion and the grounds around it are beautiful and immaculately groomed.
The property feels a little cramped and hard to negotiate your way around. It is also a declining area of San Jose.
The room was beautiful and very clean. The hotel was on a large well landscaped piece of property. There was a park next door which had a nice walking path. We enjoyed watching all the ground squirrels.
Queen bed and the room was a bit small.
try the great breakfast 15USS, fresh fruit, lots of cereal, omlettes done just for you! the swimming pool and the outdoor hot tub were fantastic, we got the code for the lock, so we could use the swimming pool even after hour. lots of parking available, residential area, very quiet.
Given a room way back when their were rooms available in the front. Second room was for disabled people. Only when we protested we were given a better room. Maid services were mediocre. There was a dead insect on the bathroom floor which was not cleaned the next day.Front desk guy seemed unsure of himself. Staff did not have smiles and seemed disinterested. The young lady serving us on the patio was the only pleasant and cheerful person on staff.
Comfortable room. Nice pool.
Difficult to get food. Crowded. Hard to find parking. Had to walk a distance with my suitcase toy car. Someone charged food on my bill. They kindly removed the charges.
All of it
Feels like a luxury resort, very clean, nice comfortable bed, beautiful grounds, the best accommodation for the money. Great breakfast. Nice pool.
Restaurant is very limited for dinner. Lunch was equally not impressive. Bar staff is not customer oriented, disinterested.
There was a prom going on, so it was quite loud and my windows were vibrating until 10 pm.
Premises are nice
Very old fashioned and uninspiring hotel for large congresses and fairs.
Very unique setting. It was comfortable and seemed safe and clean. The pool was clean and welcoming. Bed was comfortable. a
The check in person didn't go over much of the info we needed. The key card system was hit and miss at various spots. Our room needed attention! The tub didn't hold water for a bath. Neither of the blinds worked in the parlor sitting room. The tv Dish channels were sparse- very cheap tv channel package. The actual television cut in and out and there was no directory of channels.
Free wi-fi and parking. Mansion looks are great.
Staff could't find my reservation made through booking.com, apologized and resolved it.
