Gorgeous property, fantastic turn-of-the-century mansion. Super comfortable beds, beautiful bathroom, spotlessly clean inside and out. Pool area is lovely, as is the outdoor restaurant. Great value for the price. Oh, and... the robes! Yes!
The only thing that would have made it better for me would be a closer to downtown location or a shuttle.
Bathroom's not clean, and the carpet and refrigerator interior are filthy.

The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The staff was warm and friendly.
Although the front desk told us the restaurant was open when we called, it was actually closed for the evening (Saturday). We had to eat outside, the wind was blowing and it was chilly. Even though there were heaters none were used. The prices were more conducive to a sit-down mean where you get served than food served outdoors.

This was a first time stay. Upon check-in I was told my original reserved room (a parlor) had been given to someone else. I arrived at 2:30. Check in was 3:00. Hmmm. After several minutes I was asked if it was my first stay. I replied yes and then I continued to wait while the staff person checked for another room. She then apologized for the delay and asked if I had a room preference. I replied that I wanted what I had booked for. I was then informed that she had another parlor room that was even better than the one I was originally assigned to. How would I know this since I had no idea what it looked like. Slow drains in the bath and sink. Otherwise, it was a very nice and comfortable room with a balcony and patio overlooking the pool that closed at the exact closing time. A little noisy but a beautiful view of the resort. Good food and great staff.
Nothing really. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. It was discounted through Booking. Com, and for that price I would definitely stay again!

The staff was friendly and helpful and the resort was beautiful!! The pool and the grounds were lovely and well maintained. The room was really pretty and had a large (for a hotel room) refrigerator hidden in the television armoire. Furthermore, everything was immaculate!!! Pictures of the rooms are available on the hotel's website..... they're beautiful!! The closet was a good size and there was lots of storage for clothing and personal items. Our room had six drawers in the armoire and 3 nightstands with lots of storage. We had lots of windows and the natural light was fabulous. The bathroom had one area with a vanity and a sink and another enclosed room with a 2nd counter / sink, toilet and bath/shower combination. The room service was prompt, courteous and the food was delicious!!! Overall, we LOVED this hotel and we would definitely consider this our first choice for our next stay in the area.
There were just a few things that were not right, and, to be honest, there was so much right with the hotel, that the kids and I considered these problems as quirks that weren't really worth complaining about. Here is my list of petty complaints: (1) The telephone in our room didn't work with regards to calling the front desk, room service, etc. We didn't discover this until our last day (3 night stay) when we wanted to call to request bell service. We used the card that was provided to request room service breakfast; otherwise, we might have discovered the problem sooner. (2) One of the towel racks in the bathroom kept falling down when we used it to hang up our towels and swim suits. Fortunately, the cleaning staff was very handy and fixed it every morning when they cleaned and hung up our bathing suits and personal towels for us. (3) The shower had a really nifty liquid dispenser. Unfortunately, when we pressed the dispenser for the shampoo, the cover fell off. When we pressed the dispenser for the conditioner, the entire dispenser fell off. The soap dispenser worked perfectly. I will say that the dispensers looked really pretty; it was just their actual functionality that was the problem. (4) One day, I came up with the great idea of using the hair dryer to dry some of the bathing suits. That's when we discovered that the hair dryer didn't work.
The only shining light in our experience is a front desk agent named Tai.
When we first booked our 3-night stay on booking.com for 3 nights, our total was $1995.85. Then, when I realized it'd be a stretch to try to get all the way to San Jose from where we were in California, I called your hotel to see if we could adjust our stay to 2 nights instead of 3. When your agent looked up our reservation, he said I would need to contact booking.com to make that arrangement. I then called booking.com and they put me on hold to call you all to see if the change in reservation was okay. They said they spoke to your hotel, and that it would be okay, then they sent the revised booking. When we arrived, as you know, we had been recorded as a no-show for the night prior. We explained the situation and you all said you'd take care of it and graciously found us 3 rooms for the 2-night stay. Then the next morning, I received a phone call from the front desk saying that the card we had on file was declined, and was asked if we could provide another. I then gave the front desk my debit card as a sign of good faith while I figured out what was going on. At this point, we contacted our bank and discovered that the charges had been declined because there were a total of 9 pre-authorization requests that they questioning totaling $4,355.15. While this happened with our card, our debit card had 6 pre-authorization requests totally $1629.22. I know you know this, but when there are pre-authorizations on your card, you don't have access to that money. That meant that we didn't have access to $5,984.37 for 3 days because even though you all said the charges were released, they did not release until Monday, July 28. We aren't made of money. We had been saving for 3 years for this trip in order to afford a trip with such luxuries as staying at a place like yours, so this was not an inconsequential result.

No wifi throughout stay , missing Tv remote took many calls to get replaced, However did get money off on stay.
The beds were very comfortable, as were the showers. The staff was able to let me stay in the same room after I switched to my third check-in. The grounds and conference rooms were beautiful. The food for the conference was delicious and presented well. The staff was courteous and professional.
My co-worker and I shared a suite the first night of our trip, because the hotel was full. I informed the staff that there would be two of us in the room, but there was only one bed. The next night when we checked in to our individual rooms, both had two beds. We were puzzled about why the accommodations were unsuitable the first night. It would have been nice to have a microwave in my second room.

The hotel was beautiful.
The hotel was holding a private party which was right in front of our room and it was kind of confusing on how to even get to our room. We went to dinner at the palm plaza. Food was good but we were ready to pay and our waiter was no where to be found. We finally went to the bar to ask for our check and when I asked for our check I was told "we are busy!!" I waited an hour for our check! And then to be told in such a rude tone "we are busy!" I was turned off. I just wanted to give them my money.
