well the staff was pleasant and the location was great considering it was right at halfway point to ski lifts angel fire and taos ski valley
indoor pool broken, continental breakfast was often cold or not maintained..(had to search for someone to replenish items 3 of 4 mornings)..my card was charged over 100.00 more than rate and then "double" for length of my stay and was not corrected until 3 days later after multiple calls.
The bed was horrible, the sheets had cigarette burns, the mattress was probably from the early 80's. The wifi didn't work. The TV didn't work. The fire alarm goes off at 3am and no one called to confirm if it was a real drill. The pool was empty and not working. The front desk person was not helpful at all with any of my questions. And the bat closed at 8pm.
cose to walmart, restaurants
skimpy breakfast, no dinner, no hot water in room at times.
The bedding is getting old and worn out, doesn't feel clean and refreshing. Breakfast was very limited, no fresh fruit, not tasteful at all. I don't see us staying there again.
People were great, solved one problem we had quickly, clean, quiet, and restful. If we can continue to get this price we will use this motel for our base for the 7 to 8 art and craft fairs we do in Taos each year.
We loved everything this trip.
location of hotel
the staff and cleanliness lacked
The location to the center of town.
The facility is older and very well maintained. It could use updating
The whole reason I booked this hotel was to use the indoor pool with the kids. Upon arrival, there is a sign taped to the desk saying "Pool closed until further notice". I mentioned to the non-friendly desk clerk that I had booked for the pool, and he just looked at me blankly, no apology or empathy. These rooms have NEVER been updated and I have been staying here since the 90's, but its just getting worse. Beds are so old and hard, furniture is falling apart, spider webs in corners. The second word thing was the breakfast buffet. Eggs were green and milk was sour!!! They used to serve a hot breakfast, but that has changed. I don't think I will stay here again and I am a frequent traveler to Taos but there isn't very many options and prices are so high for this quality of a hotel. Yuck!
The pueblo-like adobe appearance of buildings; the Georgia O'Keefe connection (we stayed in the O'Keefe section); outdoor terrace/balcony; availability of drinks, good at night
The breakfast did not compare with others we had on our 2-week trip throughout NM and Arizona. No meat; only lukewarm pancakes and scrambled eggs.
Parking was convenient. Lobby area attractive.
Room 216: Windows did not open and one pane broken out of double paned window. Air Conditioner did not work, although fan ran. Bed and bedding were "tired" and need to be replaced, as did the carpet. No elevators.
Kitchen staff were excellent, food was very good.
The Wifi did not work at all in our room. When I told the guy at the front desk, He said new routers were placed throughout. Well, perhaps they should go back to the old ones.
Front Desk No Wi-fi Staff didn't offer any help or another room to solve the internet connection
Hotel was close to things we wanted to do and see in Taos. The main lobby was very nice as were the grounds. The breakfast the first morning was alright.
The room had a wasp in it the first day and the smoke detector was chirping. The cleaning lady said she would have both things taken care of. When we got back around 9:30 pm, both problems were still there. Also, the curtains had holes in them and the bathroom had mold on the ceiling over the shower. The second morning the breakfast was very inadequate, no eggs. When I inquired a staff person said she would call the kitchen person. A man came out in work clothes, covered with paint. Looked like a handyman, not someone working in a kitchen with food. He said the truck had not arrived yet with food, this was about 9:45 am. I don't know why he didn't just run across the street to the supermarket for needed supplies. There was a general feeling of not caring much in the staff. Also, my adult daughter woke up with about 8-10 bites on her the first morning. A doctor said they didn't look like bed bug bites, so maybe spider? I wouldn't stay in this hotel again or recommend it.
Dirty carpet in room, unit could use maintenance I.e. Caulking around tub, repair wall paper coming off in bathroom, better breakfast with fresh items and staff maintaining food items where hot items hot, cold items cold. Overall facility needs better maintenance.
Good price, good location, nice lobby area, fridge in room.
Rooms weren't as nice as lobby area so it was sort of deceptive although the rooms were not that bad.
Old Spanish Colonial property.
Breakfast was meager; check-in was lengthy; room reeked of cigarette smoke.
Breakfast was not worth Getting up for It was hard to get luggage with wheels to the room A ramp is needed to replace the step
The rooms were outdated but clean.
The restaurant was a joke. 21/2 hrs to get chips and dip along w/ meal. If you stay here eat else where!!!!!
Premises and good matresses
Awful breakfast, alarm in the room going off in the middle of the night provenance unknown even to the staff, disorganized front desk, cleanliness
Wanted hotel w/swimming pool for grandson entertainment. Pool heating system did not work, nor did the hot tub. Very disappointing! Room did not have TV controller, and two lamps did not have bulbs. Poor!
Rooms were big and quiet.
No refrigerator or microwave. Breakfast was the same for two days. Could include more fruits and less donuts. Some yogurt or bagels could have been good too.
cost, comfort, cleanliness were all great.
one of the desk staff was not friendly, can't make arrangements for early check in if needed.
Helpful Staff, Good size room, Tennis court, pool, Across the street from a theater, Close to restaurants, shopping,
Breakfast wasn't great, Room needed a little care, But good for the price
Too many carbs at breakfast.
