Donovan House- A Thompson Hotel

So glad to see Washington finally has great small boutique hotels - always my choice when traveling. The staff was very helpful, location great, and the decor was fun. I will stay here again

The room was exquisitely appointed and very stylish and sophisticated. The staff was amazingly attentive and friendly. The hotel is close to Starbucks and another cool breakfast/lunch place called the Brown Bag - made to order omelets, sandwiches, etc. We could also walk to the theater, Verizon Center, and fine dining. Just what we wanted for a romantic date night in the heart of DC!

The receptionist was excellent and sorted out various issues for me. The hotel has a good design and ambience.

The booking confirmation said wi-fi was complementary but initially I had to pay to get access. This is one of the things the receptionist sorted out for me.

It was close to the convention centre and close to the sites. It felt to be in a safe area.

The lack of local information by the hotel staff was unacceptable, when asked about events for the Cherry blosom festival we were met with a blank look. We asked about renting a car and the sent us around the corner, not very helpful. It would be very benefical for the hotel to have a conceriege.

Well mannered staff, good sushi restaurant, clean rooms.

Our bathroom shower design was terrible, rooms were way too small, almost claustrophobic.

Przyjemny nowoczesny wystrój, ale pod paroma względami nie był funkcjonalny. Dobra lokalizacja hotelu - po drugiej stronie ulicy sklep, niedaleko stacja metra, główne atrakcje w spacerowej odległości.

(EN) No free internet connection (would expect better from a hotel), no free coffee and tea (again: would expect it to be free of charge). (PL) Brak darmowego internetu. Nie chodzi o to, że trzeba płacić (9.99$ za 24h), ale o to, że przy tej klasie hotelu spodziewalibyśmy się tej podstawowej funkcjonalności wliczonej niejako w cenę. Podobna sprawa była z kawą i herbatą w pokoju.

We have never stayed at a hotel with a more friendly and helpful staff. We were floored by their willingness to help us. Also the new resturant in the loby was the best sushi we have ever eaten. We have recomended this hotel to everyone we talk to. We got engaged at the hotel this weekend and will always have an amazing story to tell thanks to the Donavan House.

Nice, sylish, modern, boutique hotel in a convenient location. Rooms have an intriguing shower design that is a pleasure to use.

Although the room decor was very clean and modern, the quality of the construction and finishes were not exceptional and lacked warmth. Artwork, whether sculpture or paintings, was noticeably absent.

Low key atmosphere, helpful staff, good location, decor, comfotable beds

Spot lighting was impossible for reading, using computers was hard even though the wireless was good. Not useful for even casual work.
