Stunning lobby, friendly staff, not too far from the main tourist attractions, the room was superb :) There was no coffee/tea facilities available in the room but complimentary to go coffee was available in the lobby
Staff, location, coffee, and wine :)
The elevators were our only issue really. The bed could have been a bit more comfortable too
The room was great - large, comfortable and quiet. I loved the quirky bathroom and your card offering anything I'd left behind (I didn't need anything but appreciated the offer) Service was patchy - the guy on reception when we arrived was great - the woman when we were checking out was disinterested and unhelpful.
The elevators!! Slow and unreliable. Also the perfumed candles at reception - standing in the foyer even for a minute started an asthma attack. This was a major problem when I was trying to check out. Room service was not good - not starting breakfast until 7am on weekdays and 8 am on weekends is not helpful if your guests have an early start. Also on the two occasions I used room service they got my order wrong.
Beautiful rooms in a very stylish hotel. Perfect location. Very attentive and friendly staff. Fun attitude to branding and presentation.
good location. 24hr CVS right across the street. nice suite. good view. friendly staff who helped us find what we needed.
Elevators are very very slow. and very small. Paid for parking and valet told me to pull my car up front and he would take it to the garage. My car was there all night and i found it there in the morning. They told me i was lucky it wasnt towed. i didnt pay 50 bucks to be put in that predicament. luckily nothing happened to my car but still. it wasnt the best experience and i like the hotel but prob wont pay for valet there again.
My grown daughter and I visited for 5 days and enjoyed walking to most all the attractions. Good location for dining and public transportation,(didn't use it, but it was there). Modern clean rooms and wine time at 4:00pm.
Need another towel bar near the sinks. Nowhere to put towels after you wipe your hands.
We came for a honeymoon and this hotel was the best from a very long list of other hotels! We got an amazing room, the receptionist welcomed us very nice. Happy hour offered by the hotel. I ate the best sushi ever in the hotel's restaurant "Zentan"
The ambulances / police sirens from the street were very noisy during the night and there were a lot of them every night. The waiting time for elevators.
How the room and reception looked. Very funky furnishings.
Lighting in bathroom not great.
bed were great to sleep in. The wine at night 5pm to 6 pm was great and free to drink. the food in was very great
We thought we had the wrong room when we opened the door , it was huge , modern and clean , well pleased . The bathroom had a bath and shower. The room was quite even though it overlooked the road and black out curtains ensured an excellent nights sleep.
Staff at reception was nice and helpful
Design is good but dominates usability. Breakfast buffet is poor in comparison to price
clean and spacious rooms, small lobby though, security is good at night ( entrance with a room key). location is good, and right outside you have a CVS ( 24 hours)
We were a group of people, 10 rooms. They did not give us the rooms until 6 -7 pm, only two rooms were given on time. This is due to the hotel being booked for a summit. But, what that got to do with us? Hire more people for housekeeping so we don't wait for hours to get into a cleaned room!! The duty manager even told some of my group that "being angry with him won't get them their rooms faster"!! I had to come down and talk to him, he told me they were loud! At 6-7 pm you have the right to be frustrated! I demanded that at least he gives them vouchers for the breakfast, he gave the girls "only" in the group vouchers, which we did not use anyway on the day after. I won't stay here again, neither as a solo traveler or as a part of a group.
I liked the staff, service and restaurant.
The room size, no towel racks in the bathroom and no microwave in the room.
Happy Hour Rooftop pool and bar friendly staff
Cost of drinks in restaurant!
Roof top pool and bar was great. Rooms are terrific and clean.
The remodel of the hotel was beautiful. The roof bar was nice . Staff was nice . The hotel all in all is awesome. Beds were comfortable, nice fluffy pillows, and clean cozy sheets. Big television, hot water all the time, request for ice was fast, and I like how they have a list of thing that were available complimentary. Free wine hour is nice and same with coffee and tea.
Expensive food . Minimal menu on roof . Small pool. Pool hours should be later instead of closing for the public to frequent the bar . Room service was great but I wasnot aware of the automatic tip and a $5.00 service charge. I had given the room service a $4.00 tip cash, so the cheese burger I bought came to $34.00. Should supply a lite breakfast faire with coffee and tea, such as bagels or donuts.
The location is great and very close to the Logan Circle neighborhood with lots of great restaurants, shopping and nightlife. The rooms at the Donovan House are big, spacious. The TV is massive too, but didn't watch much TV. The hotel has a nightly wine hour which is a nice touch.
The hotel used to have C.O. Bigelow bath products and no longer does.
Rooftop pool and bar, helpful staff
Amazing modern decorated rooms and an excellent Japanese restaurant inside . Perfect location if you want to stay downtown.
Expensive valet parking
Everything about this hotel is excellent. Will be staying there again soon.
on 14th NW. very close to night activities/restaurants. very close to DC museums. Friendly staffs.
price was a bit high - during a conference at convention center.
Roof top pool and bar
Gym small and poor air conditioning. Bar closed early!
The pool closes at 5 pm on weeksays, after a day of sightseeing it would have been great to relax a bit at the pool, that didn't happen. Breakfast staff was very unfriendly.
the Decor, wine happy hour, coffee in the morning, location. Rooftop pool and bar was a plus.
Bed somewhat hard
Front desk staff excellent. Good knowledge of local area & transport. Great help. All staff attentive, friendly & responsive. Ate in hotel dinner very late 10pm - Asian fusion tapas style , recommend. Our room spacious quite and with view that was impressive. Transport walking distance - 2-3 blocks.
Pool closes at 5pm & becomes a bar. Not great if you have been out all day & want a swim its summer.its in the high 80F this week. Maybe like other pools at various hotels - until sunset which at present would be approx 8.30.
