Donovan House - A Thompson Hotel  

アクセス・設備が良好。

14Th st通り沿いに面してるので、深夜早朝までクラクションでうるさい。

部屋が清潔でデザインもよかった。

This boutique hotel had a very retro vibe with a lot of thought into setting a sense of atmosphere around the bed. It really made us want to lie in bed, relaxing while listening to jazz on the ipod dock. It is close to some fabulous resturants and bars so although it may be a bit off the beaten track to the more established neighborhoods in the city, you did not have to walk far for a great eveining out. Gay or straight, a very mixed and open neighborhood.

Metro service to the area is poor. Cabs and foot are the way to go

The location. Close to the White House and walking distance to places of interest.

The shower. Felt that the water pressure from the shower is very weak.

Great place. Nice big rooms and comfy beds. Very clean. Friendly staff. Close to the city and main sights in DC.

the staff ! the first room was smal so he had to change for a bigger one.. so we paid more ! the staff is too slow to react to this

Hotel in avreage shape, wallls are damaged, bathroom was not clean, very unpersonal atmosphere at the front desk, the swimming spool is very very small and usualli privatized for events and anyway extremly noisy, so do not even think of enjoying it

Excellent view (if you are lucky to get a room not facing the inner yard....)

Be sure to have the print-out booking from www.booking.com on hand especially if you have booked a room "with a view to Thomas Circle".... You have almost to fight for it. It doesn't matter how long in advance you have booked - you'll be firstly told that the hotel is sold out and that you can take only the room with the view to the inner yard (awful!). But if you stand your ground and if you're lucky enough after half a hour of discussions and persuasions you'll be put in a room you have booked. This happened both times I stayed in this hotel for the past three months.

The location and view from my room in particular was not good (ie no privacy, i could see through other hotel guest's rooms and i'm sure they could see through mine). It's worthwhile asking for a room with a good view (of M street or the circle)

It's a hip hotel with a good restaurant and near to other good ones too.

May be short handed in front office staff during peak hours and you are kept waiting quite a while for service.
