Room design was modern and functional. Extra large windows were nice touch. Luxourius linens and bedding. Housekeeping and cleanliness could have been improved. My room only ever got a superficial vacuuming, if any. I found the staff a bit stand-offish and condescending. I was also very disappointed that the hotel outdoor pool closes at 5:00 pm daily.

This boutique hotel had a very retro vibe with a lot of thought into setting a sense of atmosphere around the bed. It really made us want to lie in bed, relaxing while listening to jazz on the ipod dock. It is close to some fabulous resturants and bars so although it may be a bit off the beaten track to the more established neighborhoods in the city, you did not have to walk far for a great eveining out. Gay or straight, a very mixed and open neighborhood. Metro service to the area is poor. Cabs and foot are the way to go

Location, staff, CVS was open just infornt of the hotel for 24 hrs. Resturant and cafes available near the hotel in a walking distance with different variety. They have party every night at the rooftop, and I was just below it. The base sound was just annoying, did not let me sleep well. When I complain they promise to lower it, but it almost the same. Next night, I have to reequest again, but this time they lower it.

The size of the room (studio) and the comfort of the bed Hotel in avreage shape, wallls are damaged, bathroom was not clean, very unpersonal atmosphere at the front desk, the swimming spool is very very small and usualli privatized for events and anyway extremly noisy, so do not even think of enjoying it

4 blocks from Metro - very easy to find. Very convenient for my purposes since I was there on business and needed to catch the metro each day. Just make sure you exit the metro on the 14th Street side rather than the Vermont Street side. Staff was friendly each time I encountered them. No vending machine and being charged for coffee in the room. There is a CVS across the street where beverages can be purchased, and a Starbucks 2 blocks from the hotel. Normally those things wouldn't bother me, but I was there for a week, and missed those conveniences.

Excellent view (if you are lucky to get a room not facing the inner yard....) Be sure to have the print-out booking from www.booking.com on hand especially if you have booked a room "with a view to Thomas Circle".... You have almost to fight for it. It doesn't matter how long in advance you have booked - you'll be firstly told that the hotel is sold out and that you can take only the room with the view to the inner yard (awful!). But if you stand your ground and if you're lucky enough after half a hour of discussions and persuasions you'll be put in a room you have booked. This happened both times I stayed in this hotel for the past three months.

The location and view from my room in particular was not good (ie no privacy, i could see through other hotel guest's rooms and i'm sure they could see through mine). It's worthwhile asking for a room with a good view (of M street or the circle)

I was able to check into the room early following my red eye flight from la. In fact I was upgraded to a king suite, fabulous, love the bathtub. Just need more light in the room to read.

Very nice, upscale hotel in a great location! It's with walking distance of the White House and great restaurants. It was to cold to walk to every dc destination but you definitely could in the nice weather! Overall great place to stay!

“My boyfriend and I absolutely loved the Washington Plaza Hotel! Our room was very spacious and unbelievably comfortable; it far exceeded our expectations. We really liked that it was a short walk from the McPherson Metro Station, so it was very easy to commute to all of the major attractions, and it is also was conveniently located near a lot of restaurants and bars.
