Location was perfect! Needed to be close to Wilmette. I was traveling alone and I felt extremely safe at this location.
Two staff persons were very unpleasant to talk to, Alexis was first, no smile, no welcome when we first got in, had attitude when I asked her how come she couldn't find my reservation..Was embarassed to wait around for them to figure it out for a while, first thing we got there, which they still couldn't and gave me a room on 3rd floor when I had requested a high floor room. I had said something about these issues to another staff lady, cannot remember her name but had a short hair and I believe glasses, VERY unpleasant, she did not even aknowledge what I was saying, no smile, no apology. Room doesnt have a fridge even, nor microwave and was only equipped with one soap and one set of shampoo and conditioner when there was two people staying in the room. Had to ask for additional things every few hours.
Staff are great.
Closet door was not working, off runner. Parking is tight, we witnessed an accident over a parking space.
Excellent Location. Helpful staff Nice breakfast Nearby shopping stores Swimming pool was good 10 min drive to Devon St. for halal food Enough parking space Nearby attractions info available at front desk
Nothing I observed
Great view, very close to old orchard. Nice room and Delicious cookies upon check in.
Elevator has a very strong smell of some cheap air freshener. Lobby was spacious but very suburban feeling. Small bathroom but nice rooms.
The location to Ryan Field is a big plus, and the lobby is up to date.
Our room was VERY dated. Dirty old cream paint on the walls. Peeling, patched wallpaper. Horrible water pressure. Dirty carpet in our room. This is the only room I saw, but based on that I'll never stay there again.
Staff was amazingly awesome!
The hotel staff were helpful and polite. They filed up on requests and provided help and solutions whenever requested. They were available and willing to facilitate and accommodate guests as well as to solve any obstacle.
As a guest not having breakfast inc. and paying for coffee in lobby .
Bed was comfortable - Room clean.
Bathroom - shower curtain - allows water on floor which is unsafe - needs shower glass door. Dangerous - hard to get out of tub. Should have shower rather than tub!!! Toilet practically in tub!! No comfortable room.
The manager replied to my Doubletree review immediately to gain an understanding of what the issues were
Wait for elevators was excruciating, 10-12 minutes long due to a church group gathering. Hallway carpets were filthy
make breakfast include
I had the Booking.com confirmation so they accommodated me.
There was no reservation for me when I arrived!
Staff was very helpful and friendly Shuttle to the Train Cookies were tasty Clean Great location met our needs Thanks for a nice stay.
Booked room for three but only had two beds, partially our fault we should have asked for a cot.Everything worked out. Called for the shuttle on our return trip but it took over a half hour to pick us up.When he did he was very accommodating and dropped us off at Portillos ....great restaurant.
Checked in very late. Front desk attendant was very pleasant and helpful. Comfy bed.
1. Towels were a bit grungie. 2. Not hotels fault but adjoining room had crying baby from 5am-9:15am. Same room had a dog upset by baby crying.
Staff was excellent one named Patrick at the front desk went out of his way for all the customers. Hotel was in walking distance to restaurants and even mini mall that had movies. Indoor outdoor pool very clean.
Hotel staff was excellent, from the front desk to the housekeeping personnel. Clean and comfortable rooms.
The bathrooms are a bit small in this hotel, due to the building being a bit older but remodeled. Parking was free and onsite, but due to construction, spaces were few. Wi-Fi was complimentary, but it didn't work at all. Just used my data plan in the end.
From the interaction at the front desk to maid service, the staff was engaging and helpful. Our stay was a pure pleasure.
The staff was welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean. In addition to front desk kindness, the restaurant and cleaning staff were extremely kind. The amenities of the weight room, pool and free parking made the location a star. The snacks of fresh fruit and cookies were also plus. I will return on my next trip to Chicago.
The staff was friendly and the location was good.
Foul smell in bathroom - the staff moved me to another room right away. But after a couple of days, I smelled a similar, but faint odor as well. Perhaps the design of the bathroom - which includes large exposed pipes under the sink - was the cause of the odor. Also, my second room was a "Hilton Honors" room on the 11th floor. The room was located above, below or near a ballroom. So, on Saturday night of my stay, I couldn't sleep because of the loud noise (and bad band music) from the ballroom
The room was clean.
There was no parking, both nights. I parked in a snow bank.
The fact is was next door to the concert we were going to see.
the room and the beds were very comfortable
did not find the parking area easily signs were confusing
Close to the city, close to shopping, very clean!
