Loved the quiet, masculine decor. Nice touch continuing the walrus theme of the building. Great bathroom -- spacious, attractive, and a jacuzzi tub. Fantastic view of the Smith Tower!
So glad we chose to stay here. We travelled to Seattle for a concert on NYE and chose to stay the night instead of trying to drive home immediately after the concert. Friendly staff, who offered us warm (and delicious) cookies when we checked in. They kindly reminded us the hotel was "party free," which was great for us because we knew we would want to get some shut eye before traveling home in the morning. Wonderful stay and everything went was planned until I forgot my wallet in the hotel room! I realized immediately upon returning home and called the hotel. A few hours later they returned my call saying they had my wallet and would ship it back to me. I was relieved, but worried my cash would be missing after hearing horror stories from friends and family in similar situations in the past. A few days later my wallet arrived, with everything still there - cash, cards and all! We're looking to take a family trip back to the area soon, and I will definitely suggest we stay here. Wonderful hotel.
My only complaint is you have to pay for WiFi. So many hotels offer free WiFi now, if this one did, I would vacation here always!
Nice location, close to transit and walk to pike place, Pioneer square, etc downtown. Also cool lobby bar.
High price and no service
Coffee in lobby would be a nice add
The location was excellent. Within walking distance of stadiums, shopping, public market, light rail & ferry terminal. The staff was helpful and attentive.
Room 209 was at the street level and was noisy. You could hear the trains and buses, sirens and cars all night long. Thursday night into Friday morning was the worst.
Location and helpful concierge ..
The reception staff who checked me in was not professional and not respecting !!
beautiful rooms, hotel felt welcoming...fresh chocolate chip cookie every morning.
View was not pleasant...hotel is located in center of industrialized area...skyscrapers. streets impacted with homelessness.
Kindly staff and the location and clean rooms
Seeing the homeless in street near hotel in the evening
Close to the airport.
Old classic building that's well maintained. Big rooms
Valet parking is about the only good option and pretty expensive.
Loved the cookies on arrival- the children were delighted and were made feel very welcome. Staff were very helpful in directing us on the highlights of the city
Remarkable atmosphere, furnishings, and museum/historic experience in high comfort. Incomparable staff and service. Impleccable.
Toilet was frighteningly noisy (though efficient).
The staff was friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay.
I received free internet upon check-in and the valet staff were very friendly. I ordered some food from the late night menu but they didn't have what I wanted so they sent up something else for me complimentary. Front Desk allowed me a late check out as well.
The late night menu does not have enough options. There are no pool or fitness facilities at this hotel which was a real let down. Also the housekeeping maid came in to my room at 930 AM and woke me up by opening the blinds when I was still fast asleep in my room.
The room was very cold. Sometimes around 15 degrees Celsius.
My husband hates old. His comment was "Elegant". He loved it and so did I. So much thought to the decor and plenty of storage for clothing. Ate at Juno. Great food. Service and valet staff on it to a T! Great stay.
No pool or jacuzzi.
Location is optimal if you plan to utilize public transportation. Clean, comfortable bed, sound proof, never heard a peep from the other guests. Friendly and helpful staff!
no microwave in the room -
