Built in 1877, this boutique Boston hotel is less than 2 blocks from Boston Common. It features free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour front desk and a daily continental breakfast buffet.
Score from 1682 reviews Good
In downtown Boston, this redesigned boutique hotel is just a short distance from attractions like Boston Commons and Newbury Street.
Score from 1556 reviews Excellent
Elegantly blending the historic charm of the 1920's with all of today's modern conveniences, this hotel is situated in the center of Boston's financial district, only moments from major area...
Score from 257 reviews Very good

Score from 344 reviews Very good
Location Comfortable bed
Small bathroom in relation to size of room. Poor Wifi. Error in nightly room rate.
Big room, very nice beds, nice bathroom amenities.
No complimentary WiFi in the rooms. This is 21st century, come on, guys!
No free wifi
Too noisy at night , no roll away beds available
The service and staff were eccellent. The location was good.
I thought that water should be avail able in the rooms. We had to go out of the room to get it from the vending machine,
Bed was comfy
Shower is narrow and bottom is so curved that I couldn't stand w my feet side by side. Interesting to shower like you're on a snowboard. Decor is dated One elevator was down so up/down was slow
It had all the qualities Of Hilton hotels however I was not impressed with the spa facilities which consisted of shared facilities with the YMCA!
The lack of spa facilities and the doubletree attempting to pass of the YMCA facilities as their spa!
Staff at checkin was short with. Pool and Starbucks hours are too short. Both close at 5&6. Left us with a couple of hours staring at the walls.
Being served in Freanch at the front desk was above expectation!
perfect location walking distance from city center and subway
we booked 2 triple rooms and the first night we didn't receive double beds. the hotel claimed it's booking.com responsible.
The room was nice and quiet and clean. The beds were also very comfortable. Staff was nice.
No one was there to help me with my car or my bags. I had to drive around twice just to figure out where to park. Location was barely downtown, it was right on the line of downtown and Chinatown. The toilet in our room was broken. The shower was made for people who were under 5'10". Having stayed in many double trees, this one was very disappointing and definitely not a good value for my money. Check out The Lenox or the Extended Stay Marriot in Boston. Both of then are much better hotels.
Extremely rude man at front desk albino snotty aloof and not very personable I felt like I was checking in a mafia movie
Really nice hotel, very helpful staff and overall we all had a great experience.
Not cheap, wifi was free only if you're in the lobby but not complimentary in rooms.
Close to everything,clean place,very comfortable
The cleanliness and quality of the hotel was great. Rooms were a bit small but for downtown boston, can't expect much more.
Hotel had incompetent desk staff. When asked where to specifically apply charges for my credit card , it was done incorrectly then was told that it could not be reversed. This caused a huge inconvenience for me. Had to end my stay a day early in boston, then got slapped with a 60 dollar early departure fee , and charged 46 dollars for one night of parking. Would never go there again nor recommend the hotel to any future boston traveler
Clean, comfortable, public transport nearby. Walking distance to shops, Boston Common and so.
One lift to reach rooms from ground level which was out of order on departure and had to carry large bags down stairs.
Lobby music overhead was too loud to have conversation. The YMCA arrangement was inadequate.
Location is very good, safe was big enough, beds are confortable, personel were excellent
shower was very loosy and slow
Rooms were clean, well equipped and seemed a very high standard. Location to everything important in Boston is excellent, and the Subway station next door gives a solution for anything no within walking distance.
Wifi in rooms not free
The location was located within walking distance of sights and the subway. The room was very comfortable. The bed excellent. There were many restaurants in the area and it was in the theater district. All the staff was very helpful.
The area was a little noisy as it was adjacent to a hospital, however the hotel was quiet.
Convience, The desk Clerks were very nice. We had an option to have a very nice quiet room on the back.
The Lower Lobby needs a Make Over, Carpet on Stairs definitely need to be replaced, Vendor machines were out of products, we had to venture to different floors. The configuration of the Bathroom leaves a lot to be desired-Too Small!!
Should not have to pay for wi-fi in the room. Not convenient to go to lobby just to use free wi-fi.
Nice and clean, great location and eating places near by. Very helpful staff. Really liked the warm cookie when we arrived!
The location was perfect, really close to everything. I loved being so near to boston common. Very pretty park.
