Very happy with stay.
Parking fees. $46 per day is outrageous
Our stay was from Fri.-Sun.; $109 per night+tax/$46 per night for valet parking. We chose to stay here bc it was reasonably priced compared to the other hotels. Location was central: walking distance to the subway. Areas within close proximity: Chinatown, Financial District, and a 15-minute walk to Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall/Freedom Trail. Overall the hotel was great but what prompted this 5 star review was the customer service. They really want to make sure that your stay with them is the best that it can be and if not, try to find ways to make it nothing but that. Special thanks to ALBION, ERSELA, and EVALDO who all went well beyond to help make my first trip to Boston amazing. AND...I forgot...the cookies were AMAZING!!!
There was unforeseen circumstances that prevailed during our stay; the fire alarms were set off. We were informed; it was really out of their control. However, this did not occur once but the alarm set off 3 times (1st-an hour after our arrival and twice in the middle of the night...at least we know the alarms were working). It was as if we were in a club; imagine strobe lights blinking on/off continuously. How would one feel afterwards? You tell me. At the end of our stay we were asked (mind you we are not ones who complain but this prompted us to let them know). Were understanding after the first occurrence, though it was annoying because we were trying to take a nap after driving for 4.5 hours before going out to dinner. The real issue was when the alarm went off in the middle of the night waking us up from sleep and turned our room into an impromptu disco for several minutes. It again went off several minutes after stopping and basically ruined our first night's sleep. This whole ordeal caused us to get a late start to our day because of the lack of rest. We decided to inquire with the front desk to voice our displeasure and be reassured that this would not happen again for our last night's rest. We were given an explanation for the excessive false alarms and were compensated with a free breakfast. To be honest I wasn't satisfied with this but I didn't want this to ruin my short stay in Boston so I just accepted so I could finally start my day. Upon checking out, I simply said that everything was wonderful except for my first night's stay and humbly asked for additional comp.
Close to everything...price was great. The staff was very friendly.
Great customer service!
Just had a stand up shower, wasn't that clean
They were very good overall and I was happy with my stay!
Crappy $20 breakfast Buffett which is free most places.
I wanted to buy welcome cookies, they are my favourate and receptionist just give it for free. It was so nice from compy. I HAD A FEELING THAT HILT9N CARES ABOUT ITS GUESTS.
The greetings of the staff!
The wifi needs to be paid.
Location and comfartable rooms are the first things comes to mind
Position of the reception reached by steps on arrival
Clean, friendly staff, quiet, close to several metro stations and restaurants
Structure a bit old (the lift is probably 20 years old) and quite expensive, but only minor things
Clean, spacious, friendly staff, and quiet. Price was fantastic. We would surely stay here again. Oh, the free warm cookies were a nice touch.
Huge room. Lots of amenities. Friendly staff. Starbucks in the lobby. Keurig coffee machine in the room with Starbucks pods. Free HBO. Super clean. Comfortable bed. Great price. Perfect location.
Had to pay for Wifi (but only 10 bucks). Vending machine soda can was $2.10. Valet parking was $47.00
Generally a hotel and a room were clean with a modern design. The room service was pretty efficient. The location is definitely good, very close to downtown, chinatown and Orange and Green subway lines. There is a free wifi but just in the lobby and it's pretty slow. They provide the internet in the room but paid... (I'm used to European standards of having easy and free internet access - specially in a hotel room).
The staff wasn't very friendly, feeling like they are more proud of working in Hilton than taking a good care of guests. My bank blocked my card during the transaction in this hotel for some reasons and I paid for a whole stay by cash on a first day. During next 2 days they kept blocking my card with different amount of money (for a deposit as they claimed) without saying me about that. My bank contacted me to notice me about that problem. It was weird and never happened to me before in any other hotel. Additionally: There was no fridge in my room...
We loved the Hotel, very close to shops, restaurants and very short walk to Boston Common. The Hotel was very clean, staff were very helpful and the food was very good. I would stay in the Double Tree in Boston again.
I did't know I could have use of a leisure center, no big problem as we walked everywhere
Great hotel with very friendly staff.
Stairs to get up to reception area
Nothing more to say. Even the cheapest roadside hotel has free parking and free internet. If a hotel wants to be classy, it should ACT classy. It is just trashy to charge $46 for parking.
Lovely staff, comfy bed quiet good location
Area felt a bit dodgy at times, but had no problems. Would stay again.
great staff very friendly and welcoming
got recommended a taxi to the airport and it was a lot more expensive than we thought it should be
We booked this hotel through booking.com, upon arrival, we were informed by the receptionist that our booking price was wrong and he tried to charge us 3 times more than what we booked the hotel for, when we refused to pay this, he became very rude, the matter was thankfully rectified by the manager. We also had to change rooms as the heating wasnt working in the room and there was a draft coming in the window, so the room was freezing. In my opinion I would not reccomend this hotel.
Location was great, staff too!
Room and bed were very comfortable. Many well plsced outlets for recharging.
Hotel is right next to Tufts med center ambulance entrance. High priced hotel that charges for WiFi. Next time I will opt for CourtYard a block away w free WiFi, further from noisy ambulance
10 minutes walk from a number of tourist areas. Good breakfasts we ate there in the evening a. Our of times and the food was value for money.
Only one lift to our end of the hotel meant that we often had to wait some time.
waffle chef granola helpful staff
Bit pricey especially breakfast
Very comfortable room, pleasant staff and useful to have in-house restaurant when we arrived late. Best thing was the central location so we could walk to so many good places.
Some siren noise from the nearby medical centre, but not too bad. Parking expensive but, again, not too bad for central Boston.
Nice room, and accommodations.
Low shower-head. Horrible shower.... I am 5ft. 10 inches and had to bend over in the shower to wash my hair.
