Some traffic noise if you are on the Freeway side of the building.. Charge for Parking
Good facilities, nice hotel for the price
The front desk staff who checked us in was extremely rude! She acted as if us checking in was disrupting a more important task. Aside from being short with us, she didn't tell us where the pool or the fitness center was or anything else about the amenities of the hotel. The have the most ridiculous credit card policy, and the parking lot is $17 dollars per day but cant accommodate all the guest cars.
I liked that the beds were comfortable.
Friendly staff and clean rooms
Staff, stupid rules, charging my credit card every day of my stay!!!
I made the reservation on-line (Internet) and paid for it. The morning when I checked out I was in a hurry on my way to the airport and didn't notice that I was charged more than what I was told. So, the prize that they advertise on-line and what you actually pay are two different things. I won't stay there again.
The location and room were good.
Reservationist said: "I got you a quiet room on the 4th floor overlooking the pool." -- though my reservation requested as high as possible. The reality: The room was over the freeway, there was a connecting door with 2 girls in there that talked all night, no suppression of noise whatsoever, they may as well have been in my room. I threw the curtains open in the morning to take in the view of the pool - which was drained. I moved to another room the following night, asked the front desk clerk to confirm it did NOT have a connecting door. He said it did not. It DID. I was too exhausted to go downstairs and move again, so I stayed my last night there. This was not worth the $ I paid and I was there for a very important "personal development" seminar...needless to say, my $1000 seminar went to waste, as I had had no sleep and couldn't participate or concentrate very well. Tiny gift shop. (PTACs in roomm - tacky for such a nice hotel) Btw, what happened to the famous Doubletree cookies? None in sight. They used to be in the room and you could buy tins of them in gift shop. I don't agree with the need to pay for parking. I HAVE to park there, so why charge for it?
* Comfy bed * Downstairs Starbucks and bar * Great staff in restaurant and staff making coffee at bar * The room and bathroom were pretty * Open lounge area in front of bar was nice * Bike rental option - great, though I didn't use
I was astonished that in a state with water shortages that the hotel (unlike most everywhere nowadays) insisted on replacing the towels every day.
Free Wifi, and the location
This property is close to LAX (a 10-15 minute cab ride) but it is not on the hotel shuttle routes. We had to pay about $40, round trip, for taxi fare.
The room was comfortable and clean. In spite of our very late arrival, the desk clerk checked us in quickly so we good settle into our room.
Tools several key card to work for my room
No minibar. No lodgenet/movies on demand. Large spider in the bathroom.
Large comfortable room
The hotel is very close to my husband's office so we often stay there midweek to cut out the commute. Comfortable, familiar and great restaurant and bar. Also close to other great restaurants.
Paid parking. Parking boom gates weren't working so parking was essentially free, yet still had to pay. No security onsite for the parking either with signs stating no liability on any damage etc to vehicles.
Great bed, good location, handy to airport and beaches. Very helpful staff.
17 dollars a day to park, but you have to pay to park everywhere in LA so it was somewhat expected. The room was quite large, but the bathroom was on the small side.
The location is great, it is right by a large shopping area with a lot of restaurants. It's easy to find and feels safe. It's clean with nice finishings. Who doesn't love the warm cookie upon arrival?!
Bed very small, price is very high, parking very expensive
Carmen, one of the members of staff in the reception was very helpful, internet was good, location
Had a problem with our room keys, but staff were very helpful in fixing them. Location was good for our needs, not that close to tourist spots that other families may be interested in.
Greeted warmly upon check-in by the front desk staff. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. We did not take advantage of all the hotel had to offer, but enjoyed our stay. Good location for our needs on this trip.
Location was a bit chaotic and the 17.00 extra fee was a bit annoying. Having to pay for parking when there are few spaces and small slot, but the hotel stay over shadows the parking situation.
We have booked a few places through booking. Com but this place takes the cake! Super friendly staff. Kids loved the warm cookies and the rooms were spacious and clean. A+
No reasonably priced dining facilities. Had to go out to find a modestly priced restaurant.
Location was good for our purposes. The room and amenities were adequate.
Front desk did NOT let us know that breakfast was NOT complimentary. Got food and all to, in the end, get a $40 tab for the breakfast buffet. Check in was at 3, which is kind of a late time for us.
Location was great.
Couldn't get the hot tub bubbles on
Staff were lovely, free cookies were absolutly delicious! Pool was nice and so was the hote tub
We were in town for the UCLA game and parents weekend. The hotel was convenient for UCLA. There were many places close by to eat. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was good but a little pricey. Parking is a bit high also. The front desk staff was terrific. Bev
WiFi does not work in some rooms
Had to pay for parking. Other hotels nearby include parking.
The amenities were excellent. Very nice and clean. Excellent for a quick nights stay. The cookies make a nice touch.
Our room was 808...we heard the ice machine each use & every refill through the night :/
Eddie with Guest Services- answered the hotel phone...Helped me locate my wedding ring, made sure it would be secure until I could return to pick it up. Basically... I was in tears when I called...and hung up smiling & relaxed. Thank you Eddie!! Hug
