Being just a few blocks from Michigan Avenue and the stores!
The parking facilities for this Hotel is TERRIBLE. I paid an extra $50 just to park at the hotel overnight and it was very difficult getting in and out. They even gave me a hard time when I checked out and wouldn't let me out the parking structure!!! It was the worse service I've ever received. I will never stay at Double Tree Hilton again because of it.
The staff was very prompt and professional!
Hotel advertises that they can accommodate a family of 5, however, in reality they cannot. Upon arrival they charged me for another room....doubling the price that I had agreed to. Dishonest management made false claims and blamed others for the mishap, yet did nothing to resolve the matter. In addition to charging me for another room, management overcharged me for the room and was slow to admit mistake.
We booked "room with a lake view",but the view was very limited because of the building in front. The young man at the front desk on our check-in day should have been more polite.
Great location, comfortable beds, clean room.Hope to come back some day!
Price for parking and Wi-Fi
Customer service, room service and the room
They calculate the wrong price for me. If I did not notice it, it would cost me more money!
The stuffs are friendly. The room is very clean!
The hotel was nice from the front door. Overall great weekend! Most comfortable bed I've ever slept in!!
I paid $$50.00 for parking as I stayed the night at the hotel. I ate breakfast really quick...got in my car and left. I was charged and additional $20.00 for 20 minutes breakfast. that is Highway robbery. I asked for a refund and NO ONE would even allow that. They said I had 15 minutes to leave after paying, so basically I paid $20.00 for 5 minutes of PARKING. I'm really upset by this.
No free wifi in the room. Amenities provided in the room is very limited.
Location is very ideal and the staff are wonderful.
The hotel front desk staff weren't the friendliness. The clerk basically ignored my fiancé and until he made her address her. We stood there in her face at the counter and she looked at us and past us several times before being forced to address us. I have my personal thoughts about why she did this.
I love that the hotel was in a great location. We were walking distance from literally everything. The nightlife was alive and the atmosphere was great.
THIN WALLS - we could hear people using the toilet (#2). Room was dirty and OLD - nothing was renovated or even updated, seemed like a hotel out of the 70s.
The location was nice and so were the staff
Asked for a room on the upper floors for a view of the skyline. Got a view of the lower roof on the third floor
Everything wad close staff was great. Be sure to talk to the staff for ideas and ask if they have any discount coupons very helpful.
The hotel is walking distance to bars, restaurants, and market
Unfortunately it is all downhill after that. Advertises that they have free wifi which is true as long as you do not want it in your room, In which case you have to pay! It just really seemed throughout our stay that they were trying to sell something every chance they get. For example "do not bump the bar or it will cost you $100.00"! We tried to get a cart as we had a lot of luggage to bring down upon leaving and were told "you cannot use it unless you are escorted by a bellman" (in which case he would expect a tip) Was just overall disappointed in the service and hospitality. Also no free breakfast of any kind
Was greeted right away in a friendly manner
The cookies were cold and hard this time
I wish I had a few extra pillows, and no refrigerator to keep leftover foods cold.
The beds were very comfortable.
I was supposed to pay 138.00 and ended up paying 190.00 i called to ask why and they didn't have a reason and was hung up on.
The view from our room.
Strategic location in the downtown of Chicago, the price is cheap and the room is very comfortable.
Clean room spacious bathroom and free coffee.
WiFi is not free in the rooms.
Small stain on carpet in entryway right before the wet bar
Bed was very comfortable. Shower head was great
The staff. The elevator smelled like vomit. Parking was a huge inconvenience. Staff yelled at us a few times while I went in to get the garage pass fixed for the 3rd time. Very rude people. Poor service.
Not much at all. We had to wait over 20 minutes every time we tried to leave the garage. Parking is $50 per night and I was double charged although we had one vehicle.
The parking experience was horrendous. The ceilings in the parking garage were so low that our antenna drug across it, the main driving lane was narrow and the corners were difficult to navigate in our truck. We were never told that it was necessary to use the room key in conjunction with the parking garage ticket in order to exit the garage free of charge. We had already checked out and returned our keys before trying to leave the parking garage and we were charged $50 for overnight parking, simply because we didn't have our room key. The front desk couldn't rectify the problem because we had booked through booking.com and not through the hotel itself.
The hotel was very nice and well-kept. The staff was very friendly.
No Free Wi-Fi in the rooms.
