Doubletree Hotel Chicago Magnificent Mile  

Very clean and spacious; we couldn't resist that fabulous tub! The view was nice, the bed was super comfy, the staff was very friendly and professional. The location is very convenient. We'll be back!

Very thin walls. We heard more than we wanted to all night long (bless their newly wed hearts).

The location is ideal for shopping and enjoying the sights. I checked in early as I had an early flight and the staff, Pablo, has so kindly provided me with a room on the 25th floor with a nice view - something I really appreciated. Pablo is an asset to the hotel as he goes out of his way to make guests feel really welcome and "at home". The other staff are equally nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and will stay there again next time I visit Chicago.

The amenities are basic but since I am used to bringing my own personal stuff when travelling, this wasn't a big deal.

Location, location, location. A little bit of walking will get you to shopping, food, and fun. The staff was very friendly and parking is on site so it makes it easy to get in and out. Overall not a bad place to stay.

The room was a bit small with my wife and 2 year old but it worked.

The room was clean and free of pests. Location was close to University, it was ideal.

Parking was $8 a day more then the garage just down the street (on the same block). I didn't use hotel's garage as they would not match the price. I stayed (3) days.

Clerk was very friendly and professional. The room was very nice with a beautiful view of Chicago. Bed very comfortable.

If you want to know what I didn't like, that is synonomous with "complaints" so here goes: The accomodations were great, however, there is still a problem with my bill that no one will return my call due I suppose to the New Year's holiday. I've called twice and left messages to two different people. The price booking.com told me appeared nowhere on my bill. An amount almost twice as much showed up on my credit card, as well as the $100 charge for incidentals that we didn't use that the checkout clerk told me had already been credited back to my account. What should have cost us $148.50 is currently costing us $372.00 or so until we get it all cleared up. This part has not made me happy. I don't know if this is a booking.com problem, or a doubletree problem, but it better be cleared up by tomorrow.

Fabulous beds, great room -- not huge but extremely comfortable and nice decor. Very clean! Hotel staff were wonderful.

Long wait at elevator in the morning. Big bank of maybe ten of them but not all seemed to be working.

Warm cookie when we checked in was a nice touch. Nice hotel within walking distance to Michigan Ave (Magnificient Mile). Would be nice if they had free wifi in the guest rooms, rather than just in the hotel lobby.

I enjoyed your staff members sincerity and respectful manner in their approach and conversation. The customer service was delivered with excellence and high energy. We appreciated this most of all while staying at your hotel; it is very important to be welcomed and treated with kindness.

I liked most things. The person checking us in could have been a little friendlier and told us more about the amenities. I over heard the other check in person.

The location was great and the staff was very helpful. If you want to be close to the Mag. Mile yet not be in a crowded area, this is the place. Great place to eat and drink right across the street.

The only issue we had the whole trip was at the end. We didn't get our bill and had to go get it and leaving was an issue. We were on the 5th floor and couldn't get an elevator to go down. We were told by a staff member to go up in order to get down. Ended up walking down 5 flights with our luggage.
