Score from 178 reviews Excellent
The swimming pool, the breakfast, the proximity to O'Hare. The hotel room was very quiet, spacious, clean. The walk-in shower was fantastic. The staff were very for the most part friendly, and Anna, the manager, was helpful in a difficult situation. Gibson's Steakhouse was phenomenal!!!
During our stay, we had a back-up of water in the toilet which flooded the rooms carpeting at the door. The reaction time of the housekeepers was miserable:we had to change rooms! None of the cleaning ladies spoke more than a few words of english. Not acceptable, at all!
good location, very comfortable
Excellent location and very clean. Great staff and excellent room service. The mall was a 5 minute walk away!!
Parking was too expensive
I was very satisfied w/room and staff. comfortable, clean and friendly.
Parking hard to navigate - how to enter hotel from parking garage. was told parking would be $13 for 24 hrs. When I checked out of parking garage, my charges were $26. Hotel staff assured me that they would take care of it and I would be charged only $13. How disappointing when I received my credit card bill with a charge of $39 for parking!! Very upset with the dishonesty and over charge!!!
Had to pay for parking No microwave The coffee was lukewarm after brewed and I like my coffee hot
Very close to the airport and to a fantastic fashion outlet mall! Great pool
Close to the airport Good restaurant Efficient shuttle service
Instead of one double bed they gave two single and said you asked for double so gave you double. Didn't bother to change either
THere was a good restaurant in an annex
High parking fees
The location close to the airport, the spacious room, the quietness of the surrounding despite the airport proximity.
The night staff being not as friendly as expected, and the check-in and check- out processes a little difficult. Prior to arrival, since we had a huge delay with our flight, I called the hotel to make sure we could check-in after midnight as their schedule showed a 11 PM deadline.I never got the answer to my question, so we took the chance. We got there at 1:00 Am and we were not alone, an airplane crew was checking in as well and one of the member had an argument with the staff member I do not know what it was about but I was worried as the guy left the hotel obviously upset. We checked-in however, despite the late hour but were asked to give a $50 deposit for "room service" that was obviously not possible to get at 1:00 Am. I provided the clerk with another credit card than the one we used to book the hotel. When we checked out the following morning, I ask the clerk about the deposit, she answered oddly that she did not know about it.Then she charged the wrong credit card for the room.I insisted that she cancelled that charge and used the credit card that was on their system, and give us a detailed bill showing that a deposit was refunded but she was not able to do it and had to re-print three time the bill to show the final charge withdrawn on the right credit card we used to book the room. I hope we won't have any bad surprise later on.
Close to the airport. We had a problem with the shuttle driver, and the manager did an outstanding job to rectify the problem. She was wonderful
Shuttle driver was rude
The vallet was rude and gave away our taxi
Good size room and bed
Staff at reception were rude
On my 2nd visit, I was able to check in early. Gibson's Bar has free wifi. Shuttle to airport
On my first visit, my booking was missing, though not the hotel's fault. I had to sort it out myself, despite arriving after a long flight from the UK. Staff did not seem all that interested, though I was allowed to use the business centre to access my Booking.Com account. I had to phone Booking.com and only when I told reception staff that I didn't have a cell phone, did they offer the use of the hotel phone. Why do they charge extra for wifi.
How close it was to the convention center.
The pillows are terrible. Should've asked for more pillows.
Was warmly welcomed by the front desk with a friendly smile and really enjoyed the warm cookie on my way up to my room.
Wasn't there long enough to dislike anything.
Walking distance to convention center
Hotel was otherwise good value for money
The internet wi fi connection in the room was not free. One had to trek to the lobby even if you wanted just a quick check. Much smaller and cheaper hotels are offering this important hassle free service - wake up Double Tree
room is clean and comfortable not far from railway and bus station, outlet, shops..
additional wifi cost bit noise, you hear jets while sleeping
Near entertainment district
WiFi not free, use Gibson's Steakhouse next door.
I liked the location and activity surrounding the Hotel. Overall very good stay.. beyond expectation... will use in future.
staff were awesome
Very poor sound insulation, the doors have a 2 inch gap underneath so you can hear everything in the corridor and everything going on next door. My last stay was in a Best Western right next to an airport and the room was like a cocoon, we couldn't hear anything. Airport hotels are always the busiest so I'd rate that as one of the most important things. Definitely wouldn't stay here again
Room was clean and comfortable. Location is good to visit Chicago if you have a car.
Not free wifi connection. Expensive parking lot.
Very comfy bed with lots of pillows.
I got stuck on the ground floor beside the door where people go in and out to their cars. Very noisy and dangerous being a woman traveling alone.
Staff was not very helpful or friendly. We tried to get water and had to go to every floors vending machine before we found some. When we called the front desk to see if we could purchase from them, they told us to drink from the tap. I also was coming in the lobby with a number of bags and the handle of one broke in the middle of the entrance. No one offered to help and people just kept walking past me. They were also cutting trees down outside very early in the morning and it was very loud even though we requested a quiet room...and housekeeping decided to slam 5 doors in a row adjacent to our "quiet" room at 8am Sunday morning. So not a quiet room at all for our weekend trip.
Airport shuttle bus is a plus.
I would suggest to have free internet availability in all the rooms. Feels a bit poor that in a four star hotel you don't have this, only for money.
