Very comfortable beds!
Staff seemed too busy to help customers.
My room had no heat the first night. The second night I had heat, but it was not temperature controlled, There was a wall thermostat, but it did not work. I informed the staff of my temperature /heating difficulties before leaving the hotel at 8 AM--nothing was done until I returned to the hotel that evening, and insisted that the problem be addressed.
Liked the cookie when we arrived Staff very helpful Liked having food available on site in a casual way not over priced restaurants Shuttle service prompt and efficient Liked it was near the transit system
Free shuttle bus to Airport. Well fitted comfortable room.
The Take-away style cafe is disappointing. Given that the hotel is not near shops and restaurants it really needs a proper cafe/restaurant.
The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The cafe was convenient for breakfast and a quick lunch. The room was comfortable and the beds were great. The nearby JFK/UMass subway stop was great for getting around town.
I think the only suggestion would be that our bathroom had no towel racks.
At check-in we were told we were upgraded. No we weren't it was the room I booked. I think that $350+ for a one night stay in a moderate hotel was extremely overpriced !!
Bed was comfy cleaning staff very nice. Did NOT appreciate $75 incident fee . Anyone who pays $200 a night isn't going to trash a room, right?!! Also, Booking.com said there was a pool "adjacent" ...well, it was a 20 minute walk @ U MASS college...and it was closed to the public!!! Grrr!...We'd probably stay again
The warm cookies...mmmmm, the cafe was good (but expensive)
The staff at the hotel made me feel so welcome.
We asked to be picked up from the cruise terminal and they did. We asked to be dropped downtown and they did. We got picked up from the sister hotel, and on the last day taken to the airport. They say that wifi is only free in the lobby, but I was on the fourth floor and still got it. The manager of the hotel was extremely friendly and made our time very pleasant. The shuttle bus driver Sammy was absolutely fantastic
Its a bit out of the city, but the red line metro is a few minutes walk away. After visiting the downtown Double Tree in Boston, I felt a lot safer in Bayside. The warm cookies are really great. The price was rather high, but I looked hard and prices in Boston are creeping towards NYC.
Cookies for myself and spouse. Pleasant counter help.
On site food not a plus. For older guests, many desire or need a chair they can sleep in for an hour or two during the night. Two days later, I still feel the effects of a too soft bed and/or lack of my recliner.
Very clean hotel; staff members are very helpful; hotel is within walking distance to the jfk metro station (the t); very good rate for August. We stayed 4 nights and will not hesitate to stay here again next time we visit Boston. A big thank you from pei, Canada. :-)
No restaurant nearby to eat breakfast (only a Starbuck coffee shop available); ventilation system in the room was very loud so did not sleep well; walls/doors seem very thin so if we shut off the ventilation system we could hear everything that went on in the hallway.

The location was nice within walking distance to the subway and beach! It was friendly and clean.
The choice of food within walking distance was poor and the restaurant on site was not great. It was a nice location for sleeping though and there were a few restaurants that would deliver.
Loved everything. Location for JFK Library & shuttle to airport. Great view of harbor, great staff. Wonderful stay and good price.
Restaurants am little far for walking.
Close to T station
I hate to pay for a place I just sleep in.
It really is a bit off the beaten path but very close to subway and airport. Room was decent and very clean.
The fact that there are NO restaurants close by. The little cafeteria type venue in the restaurant has horrible food.
They try to make money out of everything. The location is to far from the city you allways have to take the subway. Perhabs it is ok for Business Journeys. Breakfast only in a small market.
I loved the cleanliness of the hotel, in addition to the modern decor. The rooms were spotless, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff at Doubletree was very courteous and helpful. The area around the hotel was quiet and had a collegiate feel to it. In addition, there was a nice park located along the water as well. within walking distance. The T line was a short five minute walk which was a definite plus, since most other hotels on the outskirts of downtown Boston are far from the T line. The train ride to downtown took a mere 15 minutes. Overall, my wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at Doubletree, and we plan on staying there again on our next trip to Boston.
Room spacious Newly refurbished Well cleaned Good location to downtown Shuttle service to and from downtown and airport Front office staff excellent
No self-service coffee/tea in Lobby Eats selection in cafe limited - also no gluten free options Eating area badly needs regular cleaning in morning
Staff was very friendly and helpful. .very close to train so very easy to get to the city. Rooms were good size ..shuttle service from the airport was convenient although we had to wait a long time
Bed was very uncomfortable and air conditioning very noisy ..TV service was poor ..kept getting no signal. .house keeping left dirty towels from previous day. .no good place to eat on site
This hotel was much more reasonable and comfortable compared to ones in downtown area, and it was easy to access downtown by car.
When we booked this hotel, we wanted to stay with three people, but we couldn't figure out how many beds they would prepare for us...
The pillows smelled horribly!
