Score from 800 reviews Good
Unreliable shuttle service Far from public transport and the mbta Price for food is outrageous when you have other much cheaper options if you were to leave the hotel
I was annoyed that there was a 35 dollar charge for parking. They didn't even say that there was a charge, they just asked if I needed parking. Most places I've stayed have free parking for guests staying at the hotel. That fact alone left a bad taste in my mouth. You should really inform guests of the charge.
ok widow on hall was annoying
Everything was wonderful except location.
Too far away from public transporation.
View of the river.
I normally love the Doubletree and usually never take the time to write reviews like this however, our stay this past weekend was extremely disappointing. When I checked in, the man at the desk could not speak English very well... He asked me if I wanted a parking pass but neglected to tell me that it would be an additional $35 per night and there were no other parking options because of the hotel's location. My card was charged $80 (popped up on my phone) when the charge for two nights should have equaled $70, when I asked why, he said that it was tax of some sort and that I'd have to come back in the morning to ask someone if it didn't self-correct - not good customer service. Unfortunately, there were also protesters outside the hotel that woke us up at 7:30am both mornings, while I understand that these types of situations are out of the hotel's control, when I called the front desk, the staff was extremely unhelpful and unapologetic - at a real 4 star hotel, they would have offered to send up some coffee at least because I was woken up so early, I would have settled for someone nice. Lastly, the toiler paper wasn't refilled in the room, the faucet in the tub was broken and led to some flooding on the bathroom floor, easy improvements to make and fix. Unfortunate and Disappointing.
The Wi Fi Conection
Front desk staff availability
Wifi in Room was poor
Shuttle bus was great but was necessary as the hotel is located on a busy thoroughfare with no pedestrian access
Room quality, decor, style is poor for the relative coat, needs to be modernised. Also, I was assigned the wrong room upon check in even though I had changed my reservation
Room and view were great. Spacious. Comfortable beds and seating. Food and restaurant service good.
Easy walk to Harvard Square and the T.
Free shuttle into town Good views from our room Nice facilities throughout the hotel Food was good. Staff were good / friendly We had been travelling so the self service laundrette was excellent
We had a king size bed (comfortable) bit only one bed side table . We used a chair and moved a lamp from the desk. Our request to the front desk to have a bedside table was ignored. Parking was expensive. (It is throughout Boston)
Free shuttle to Harvard Sq and Copley Sq
USD 35 for overnight parking
Large suite suit for family with childen. Great river view. Not near subway but the hotel provides convenient shuttle bus to the major locations in downtown and cambrige.
Staff at the call centre not helpful.
Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean, spacious suite. Easy walk to the T. Shuttle service to several locations, too. Directly next to multi-use path along Charles River. Would definitely stay again.
Noise: Rooms open onto central atrium. When lobby has an event, crowd noise travels up.
It was pretty hotel
Paying for the parking and to much too that's not fair first time in my life a pay for a parking staying in a hotel
Suite one room for the adults and one for the kids
Expensive breakfast particularly for families
location, views, room size, breakfast
the staff and managers are lost at request of late checkout: could not figure out the price, could not communicate it to the next shift, could not handle it eventually. I ended up kicked out at 4pm into a cold raining city with nothing to do and nowhere to go until my flight at 11pm. Thank you for 3h of hobo experience between hotel kickout and Emirate Ailines opening registration.
Location River view Breakfest
Concierge Bathroom facilities Noise during night
Free wifi very near to highway shuttle from hotel to harvard square and city
Air-condition is very noisy
Close to downtown and Harvard areas. Free shuttle service very convenient. Very friendly staff, they even validated my parking cost after staying 2 nights! We went out for a jog but the river and it was safe and pretty. I could not go to the Jazz Club but looked very intriguing...
Closeness to heavy traffic road can be an issues if your room faces the river and you are a light sleeper. If you have to pay parking, it can get expensive, which I would not expect if staying at the hotel overnight.
The hotel is very clean The staff are super nice The room is very comfy The view is excellent
The room next to mine had loud music that I could not sleep The party in the hotel was so loud that I could not rest The party that just cleared up in the morning held up the drive way that my taxi could not get out to take me to the airport drunk guests making loud noises
Localization. Close to highway from NYC. Walking dostanie to Cambridge and city center.
Location to Everything, SO beautiful.
Not one thing
Staff excellent as was room with separate lounge and river view.
A bit pricey at just over £200 per night room only
