Score from 488 reviews Wonderful
Good gym, very big rooms
Location isn't great
The venue of the hotel, close to HBS, is very useful. I also found the food OK.
The furniture of the rooms is a bit outdated, and the pool is pretty small.
Location, helpful friendly staff and excellent facilities
Shuttle free and available to Boston downtown and Harvard Square with polite drivers.
Room service staff very efficient . Scullers jazz club was awesome. Restauraunt staff and service excellent!
Paying for parking. We went to the show, ate at restauraunt and stayed at hotel.
The overall stay was great. The staff was nice.
I didn't like that I had to pay for parking and that their was no continental breakfast included in my rate. How much money do have to spend?
Quick check in. Friendly staff
No value for money
The bed was really comfortable . Over all nice
Living room furniture couch and chair was like sitting on a rock. And I mean a rock.
comfort and clean
coffee maker not working on one side and not enough regular coffees and rooms service delivery( not enough regular coffee) not quick enough seeing i had a appointment and parking fee alot and wifi
On the whole we had a good experience but service provided by Charles and the gentleman from Somalia that drove the shuttle bus exceeded our expectations. They went the extra mile to ensure that we were comfortable. We will always stay at Double Tree when we visit Boston.
It was bad on picking up service at Havard square because it didn't follow schedule. The shuttle stop was different at Havard square. When you complain to receptioner she said you may take taxi to hotel. What a service you had!
Big roomy room...seperate room for child
Had to pay for wifi in rooms...should be standard
Friendly staff and on site bar and food
Paying for parking. That should be included in the price. Not an added surprise when you check in.
Unreliable shuttle service Far from public transport and the mbta Price for food is outrageous when you have other much cheaper options if you were to leave the hotel
I was annoyed that there was a 35 dollar charge for parking. They didn't even say that there was a charge, they just asked if I needed parking. Most places I've stayed have free parking for guests staying at the hotel. That fact alone left a bad taste in my mouth. You should really inform guests of the charge.
ok widow on hall was annoying
Everything was wonderful except location.
Too far away from public transporation.
View of the river.
I normally love the Doubletree and usually never take the time to write reviews like this however, our stay this past weekend was extremely disappointing. When I checked in, the man at the desk could not speak English very well... He asked me if I wanted a parking pass but neglected to tell me that it would be an additional $35 per night and there were no other parking options because of the hotel's location. My card was charged $80 (popped up on my phone) when the charge for two nights should have equaled $70, when I asked why, he said that it was tax of some sort and that I'd have to come back in the morning to ask someone if it didn't self-correct - not good customer service. Unfortunately, there were also protesters outside the hotel that woke us up at 7:30am both mornings, while I understand that these types of situations are out of the hotel's control, when I called the front desk, the staff was extremely unhelpful and unapologetic - at a real 4 star hotel, they would have offered to send up some coffee at least because I was woken up so early, I would have settled for someone nice. Lastly, the toiler paper wasn't refilled in the room, the faucet in the tub was broken and led to some flooding on the bathroom floor, easy improvements to make and fix. Unfortunate and Disappointing.
The Wi Fi Conection
Front desk staff availability
Wifi in Room was poor
Shuttle bus was great but was necessary as the hotel is located on a busy thoroughfare with no pedestrian access
Room quality, decor, style is poor for the relative coat, needs to be modernised. Also, I was assigned the wrong room upon check in even though I had changed my reservation
Room and view were great. Spacious. Comfortable beds and seating. Food and restaurant service good.
Easy walk to Harvard Square and the T.
Free shuttle into town Good views from our room Nice facilities throughout the hotel Food was good. Staff were good / friendly We had been travelling so the self service laundrette was excellent
We had a king size bed (comfortable) bit only one bed side table . We used a chair and moved a lamp from the desk. Our request to the front desk to have a bedside table was ignored. Parking was expensive. (It is throughout Boston)
