DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Detroit Downtown - Fort Shelby    

I found all levels of staff to be extremely attentive and genuinely concerned about the quality of my stay.

The rooms had a strange configuration that wasn't the most comfortable. Location is in an empty downtown with near zero street life and very few restaurant/food options. Not comfortable to explore the surrounding area.

Our room was awesome. We had a King suite.

Pets- dog relieved himself in lobby while own stopped to chat. Took a few minutes to get it cleaned. I could only imagine what happens on the carpets.

Could hear the people in the next room.......swearing & doors slaming. We were afraid to go out after dark and go for a walk. Parking lot west of hotel was poorly lit.....next time I'll bring my beater and not my new car!

Wasn't aware you had to pay for parking. Horrible view and the rooms were very dirty. Had a major issue on our floor due to people partying and using drugs and the issue wasn't taken care of. Very disappointed in this hotel and will never be visiting again!

Their shuttle bus took us to our dinner reservation on Sunday evening so we didn't need to get a taxi. Also, the sushi in the restaurant/bar was quite good.

We tried several times to order room service on Saturday afternoon but no one picked up the phone. When my boyfriend went to reception they told him to go order at the bar and it was absolutely packed with only one person working. He gave up and we didn't try again the rest of our trip.

It was a large clean suite on the 5th floor.

upon checkin I was told the shuttle would take me anywhere within a 3 mile radius. I had to go early and pick up tickets at JL arena at "will call" and I was the only guest in the shuttle and the driver said he couldn't wait for me. I am a 57 yr old woman he was just going to leave there alone to try to figure out how to get back to the hotel. I had to bribe him with money. I was inside a few minutes. I went alone early since my friend traveling with me has terminal cancer and needs a wheelchair. When the shuttle came back around to pick us up the driver didnt get out to assist me with his chair. I think you shouldn't build up your shuttle service or at least tell guests the truth. "We have a rude unfriendly driver that you will have to bribe with cash. He is prejudiced with handicap people so don' t assume he will help you"

The staff and the Facilities were great.

Stayed 4 nights and Best hotel I've ever been. So nice staff (in restaurant, bar,front desk)and valet parking was really convenient! Room was really spacious and clean, Bed and pillow was really comfort. Hotel Location is the best too. To people mover riding, It takes only 1or 2 minutes by walk! Detroit was really safe and very historical city. Highly recomment this hotel and city.

The rooms,& the employees were all very helpful in assisting my party. The location was excellent and close to relatives.

the bathtub didn't drain very well and the extra room off the regular room wasn't very clean

Room service closes to early, when sporting events get out and shuttle brings you back it is to late to order. When I called the "care" line it just rang

Service. Everyone, particularly at the front desk were friendly, welcoming. I would change the blankets more often. Mine in room 811 was not clean. Nevertheless i am making this comment for feedback without been negative. Love the hotel and will be back soon.

Very clean lobby, halls and room. Quiet, even though I know a bacherlette party was going on in a near by room. Location good, away from crowds of downtown and sports arenas, but within walking distance,

Nicht besonders viele/gute Restaurants in der Umgebung. Réception hat mir empfohlen am Abend, wenn es dunkel wird, nicht mehr rauszugehen, weil es zu gefährlich sei. Man ist also auf das Restaurant des Hotels angewiesen, und das hat kein besonders überzeugendes Menü. Es gibt keinen Wäscheraum im Hotel. Das Hotel bietet zwar einen Shuttlebus an für Destinationen in der Gegend, aber oft wartet man bis zu 50 Minuten, bis man abgeholt wird.
