Easy walking distance to Beale and the Fed Ex Forum. Nice, comfy rooms.
The check in process was rough. We got there at 3:30 and our room wasn't ready yet. We walked around on Beale and came back at 4:15 and our room still wasn't ready and there were multiple people ahead of us. We finally got our room at 5:00. Other than that our stay was great!
25 Usd per day for valet parking
Felt old. Needs face Lift Badly
The location for the hotel was prime! We were in town for a concert at the Forum and we were in walking distance of Beale Street, which provided us with plenty of live entertainment and food! The hotel was only a rock's throw from all the best spots and helped us relax in between trips to shops and diners. They even have a buffet in TGI Friday's in the morning!
The only down side was the computer downstairs. We went to go print off our tickets for the concert and we had trouble downloading the attachments on the super old OS on the computers available for use. An upgrade is sorely needed. It was our fault for not printing the tickets off beforehand, but it was also inconvenient to have to find another way to get them. This didn't effect the stay at all! It was incredible regardless!
Close to Beale street, friendly, clean, best pillows ever and they give warm chocolate chip cookies. Loved it.
I loved the warm cookie. The Hilton is in an excellent location.
Location was great three blocks from Beal, with in walking distance of several attractions. Staff always friendly. Baseball right across the street. Tons of excellent restaurants very close. Lobby was always clean. Valet service always quick and jovial. We felt safe there. HVAC worked quite well. We could get the room cooled very quickly. It was a relief after walking around in the afternoon heat. This hotel is very easy to get to and easily connects to main thoroughfares if you need a car to reach your destinations.
The room was very comfortable and clean but just a bit "dingy". By that I mean the ceilings looked old and dark. The white smoke detector was a dull brown like one would see in a room that has been smoked in for a very long time. There wasn't a whiff of tobacco smoke anywhere in the hotel, but that is what the ceiling looked like. Nothing a fresh coat of paint won't cure. We weren't there for the ceiling in the room, we were there for the location location location and value. HVAC worked very well, but it was a bit loud, I'll take cold AC and loud any day over quiet and warm.
Customer service person Markeitta was very accommodating to my needs. Very understanding and would stay again at this location due to her extra care given , she is an asset to your company .
Dirty air vents in room air conditioner.recyling dirty air back in room to breathe in lungs . Did not like the linen puller bursting in the room unannounced While I was in the bathroom . Spoke to the am manager politely but his reaction was cold .as if doubletree is a franchise managed locally without higher standards .
No safe within room
There was a black out downtown while we were there and the staff did a fabulous job of making sure guests were as comfortable and as well taken care of as possible. Velma and the front desk staff are great. I've stayed there twice this year and will stay there again next time I'm in Memphis.
Not having a refrigerator or microwave, them not letting me know know they were putting a hold on money.
this hotel is in a great location and central to everything downtown. You are in walking distance to many attractions.
The staff. Everyone made you feel welcome and was very friendly. First I was greeted by the valet, very nice gentlemen then the ladies at the front desk was very helpful and efficient.
The room was nice but the A\C unit was very loud and annoying.
Nice hitel, great location to visit Beale street or go to a Redbird ball game. The staff was helpful and very friendly!
Some type of free breakfast would of been nice for the price.
I loved the location of the hotel, and the staff was very warm and friendly. The breakfast buffet was delicious!
Our air conditioner wasn't working properly and there was some sewage in our tub that was very disgusting!
The location was perfect! Close enough to Beale St but nice and quiet. Value was far better than The Peabody right across the street.
Parking is valet REQUIRED at an additional $22/day. That wasn't very clear...
Room service didn't clean our room. Printed check in time was wrong. We arrived at 3 to check in as we were told then were told the room would be ready until 4
I love the friendly staff and the fresh baked cookies. Clean. Great location. Valet $22 a day
I didn't like having to pay additional fees for city, local, county, state taxes. I booked a room at $169 but ended up out of $217 plus sn additional $25 insurance fee
Staff was extremely friendly and informative. Rapid valet service.
Poor access on floors for getting off elevator and going to room. If you had luggage cart you had to carry down steps or navigate a steep ramp. No comp coffee bar in lobby or comp breakfast of any kind.* Breakfast was comped on 8/16 due to power outage on 8/15. Hallways and elevators were very warm.
Best hotel we stayed in while in USA this trip
No CNN on TV No seating in smoking area Room reeked of chemicals Restaurant service slow / not customer focused
Good staff and location
The disappointment I now have for Hilton Hotels. Never had this problem with Hilton before. Will not use again.
All is good
I didn't like the fact I had to leave.
Staff was very friendly, room was clean, location was excellent!!
