The heart of midtown
Housekeepers were loud talking outside my room
The receptionist, Stefany was extremely pleasant on check in and upgraded one of our rooms at no cost. The hotel is well within walking distance of many of the midtown attractions. Would definitely stay again.
Bar drinks a bit pricey.
Great location, decent size rooms, which also look the same as the photos, free wifi, rooms cleaned everyday, what more do you want? Would return
Multiple calls to front desk went unanswered
Cookies gym facilities
1. No coffee maker in room 2. Extra charge for wireless Internet access
Nicely sized, clean & comfortable room with great water pressure. Staff was quick to respond - polite & helpful.
TV & phone didn't work on arrival. I had some log in issues & slow loading with the wifi. There was a room service menu, but it would have been helpful to have a room manual with hotel information &TV channel listings.
That the hotel was very close to everything Rockefeller 6 blocks away great location
the bathroom was a little nasty but the rest was great
The staff was really great, esp the concierge
Had to leave the hotel to get a cup of coffee
Nice pleasant room with modern furniture. Perfect location. Friendly staff. Good value for money
Having to pay to store bags as not leaving NYC until later.
Near to metro comfortable room size and bed
The staff were totally not helpful . First my charger was spoilt I try to called the receptionist to see if I could borrow 1, they simply said no, we do not provide charger here. Then when I checked out I was pushing a really heavy and big luggage, 4 guys were at the lobby and non helped. They simply stood there and chit chat. Bad service
Fantastic hotel that i would recommend to anyone travelling to new york, staff were friendly, hotel room was spotless, bed was comfortable with great linen fantastic location right next to the subway and cafe store.
Only downside was that the walls are thin, you can hear the people in the room next door to you if they speak loudly or in the passage. On a number of occassions i was woken up and had to ask the people to keep thw noise down
Location and Hotel
Location is perfect. Center of Manhattan litterally.
No free Wi-Fi in the room, lobby only. Be carefull with the room location, make sure that it's far enough from the elevators, otherwise it will be very difficult to sleep, those elevators are extremely loud. The deposit they take on the check in, I'm still waiting for those USD150 back to my card. And it's more than a week already.
Lovely place to stay, clean , room was lovely. Nice staff
Shower didn't have a lot of pressure and wasn't always hot.
The location of the hotel was ideal.
Probably due to it being the busiest time of year, the attention to detail wasn't the best. There were a few standout people that helped. Vicki at the front desk comes to mind...
Location and bed confort
One of receptionists was too rude!
Location & hotel room
The bathroom is small and dated
Spacious, comfortable and clean room. The staff was polite ,helpful and friendly. The location is great, nice neighborhood and so close to the subway and attractions.
The view was not great. Next, time would like a room with a direct view of Lexington Ave.
Wonderful free cookies!!!
I've stayed in many Double Trees before and I like the fact that they all offer great value for money. Rooms are modern, clean, and enough space for a desk to get work done. Also, I LOVE THE COOKIES.
The only downside of the hotel is that the elevators can get crowded during check in times. We only experienced it once during our stay because they had a large group coming into the hotel.
Location - Restaurant close
The rooms are very noisy. You can hear people walking in the corridor and also when someone close the door nearby. We waked up several times at nigh due to that and it is not easy to wake me up.
The location was okay in such a busy city! The hotel overall was very clean, as you would expect! The room itself (Queen Deluxe) didn't have a lot of space, having only stayed there for 2 nights I wouldn't reccomend staying much longer!
The price doesn't reflect the hotel/room or experience itself, I think because it's part of the 'hilton' brand it's more about the name than anything else, having said that there was nothing wrong with the hotel or staff :)
location. desk staff
room falling apart
