Located at the corner of 51st St. and Lexington Ave, close to the Grand Central Station and very convenient. The room was overall clean and the bed was comfortable. The reception staffs very professional.
The building itself was old (can't ask more in middle of Manhattan!) and although the room was well refurbished the bathroom was small and out of date. A little expensive for the size.
Thank you for a great room! My mom and I were very satisfied. And thanks for valuable deals.
Close to subway system, right in heart of Midtown. Decent bedding.
Rooms weren't always well serviced. Rubbish wasn't emptied. No tea or coffee facilities or mini fridge in the room.
Excellent hotel and staff. Great localization. My wife and I had great time!
It has nice location and. Good service and staff
The bar is crouded everyday i saw someone in the corridore who has through up which i really didnt like it
I've stayed in NYC many times and the hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and the location was great.
We were in a handicapped room and the shower leaked all over the bathroom tile and onto the carpet outside the bathroom.
Staff were extremely friendly & helpful towards us & on the day we were leaving one of the waitresses downstairs at the breakfast lounge gave us a tin of cookies each. When we left, we enquired about a taxi to the airport & were directed straight away to a waiting cab with a flat fare
Probably a tad pricey when all expenses were added up-although not entirely unexpected due to city tax.
Please add toothpaste to the list of facilities
nice price great location friendly staff easy to book always available rooms
Absolutely nothing !!!
Absolutely everything !!!n
Location. Good people.
Bad cellphone signal in bedrooms. Rooms are quite small
location and price
small room, no coffee maker and standard size bed
Neatness of the room
Failure to fulfill promise. $50 was deducted from my credit card on arrival as deposit & was promised at check-out that i will get refund after 3 days and after 15 days, am yet to get the refund,The most annoying was that i called the hotel after 10days & after informing the representative that picked my call, she allowed me to waste my credit and informed me that she will transfer me to account where the call was not picked and as i speak i have left USA & the deposit is yet to be refunded..
wanted to move in early but had to wait 2 hrs..
Position and very confortable beds and pillows
Air conditioning was too much, the room was quite dark and the mouquette was quite deteriorated. The bathroom was not clean enough and there was some dust on the furniture. The hotel charges temporarely 50 $ per day the first day you arrive for all the nights you are staying in as a refoundable bail when there is not neither the fridge in the room so where would you possibly spend 50$?And after having spent 473$+taxes per day for a triple room it doesn't really feel necessary to me!!Besides, if you have to leave your bags at the hotel for few hours after the checkout, they will charge you 1$ for EVERY bag you are leaving and they pretend another dollar for each bag when you go back to pick them up.
nice quite room in a nice quite hotel.
parking is such a drag in NYC...
Cost: Compared to other DoubleTree facilities and other comparable hotels, this hotel in NYC provides about one-third the quality in room comfort at about three times the cost.
The location of this hotel is exquisite, it's very close to subway line 6, that can take you anywhere in no time. Walking distance from Grand Central, an the neighborhood is full of great restaurants. The bed was AMAZING, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Definitely worth the money.
The wi-if wasn't the best, but you are in NYC, you are not going to sit in the hotel anyways :)!
did not get to see room
had res and booking # and pin and was told I was not in their system when told that I booked a room thru booking.com for 125 for the night the clerk laughed at me, had to make other arrangements.
Very comfortable, clean, and great location.
One of the bathroom lights were out and the shower did not drain properly.
Convenient location. Small but cozy feeling in lobby area. Courteous desk service.Courteous, responsive maid service. Helpful information desk. The warm cookie, of course, while at check-in.
Stuck toilet even after it supposedely was cleaned out or plunged. Pillows were too small and too soft, not supportive enough. Large, firm pillows would do the trick. Interior deadbolt door lock hard to turn and lock. Need a small frig in the room. More cable/satellite stations
No free water. Room is so small.
I like that the staff person who checked me in this time was great.
I didn't like that the lights went out, the tv, and the phone shut down. Which is weird because if it was a power outage or a switch, why would the phone ,malfunction. I waited for them to rectify the issue, and they offered me nothing in return.
good location, clean rooms, decent bar, room service, wifi/internet and office facilities (handy when you need to take print outs of your presentations or boarding pass)
telephone bills, no coffee making facilities, noisy air-condition, expensive food and drinks for a 3 star.
The location and the free wifi
The room is so dark, bathroom sooo small and not very welcoming at the reception.
