I loved the cleanliness of the hotel and how helpful the staff is. I felt like I was right at home staying here. So if you're looking for a place to stay while in New Orleans go to the Doubletree Hotel, it's in a very convenient location.
I didn't like the fact that we had to call down to the front desk three or four times to get more towels. I also had to go downstairs to use the bathroom because we needed tissue and to let them know. Also when we ate at the Wow Cafe the waitress charged my card twice and I only ordered a drink and a chicken sandwich.
Messed up my reservation that was booked in advance.

The size of the rooms were smaller than I expected and smaller than places I usually stay.... The bathroom was extremely small and uncomfortable. No refrigerator not microwave was an issue when staying for more than just one night.....

The hotel is in a great location and it was a great value for my money; but, the staff made my stay here an absolute treat. The front desk staff and the bell captain should hold seminars on customer service. I've been to NOLA many times, but this was my first stay at the Double Tree and this hotel did not disappoint!
Housekeeping staff could learn to not use the guests personal items when cleaning the rooms!
We did not get room until 6 pm. The stated check in time on the website is 3 pm. The desk staff stated that it was because of housekeeping. We also did not get the room that was described on our paperwork (we reserved the room online). We reserved and paid for a deluxe room and received a regular room with no discount.
Location to the things I wanted to see and do. Close to harrahs , within walking distance of bourbon st, the ww2 museum and the cruise dock.

Location was good; noise level was not too bad. Rooms comfortable enough.
Carpets were dirty; hotel had been overbooked for halloween weekend so I did not get what i had reserved. Staff said it was my error. I showed them my reservation but they then blamed it on booking.com as their error. Booking.com confirmed it was hotel's error. Hotel discounted room by $20 each night. Didnt like staff trying to displace blame.

One Valet attendent did not know how to load up the car, I had to remove everything in front of him and reload it myself. Other than that, Everyone else was very helpful
Central location to everything
At the end of the stay we finally received assistance from the staff. It was comfortable and close to the stadium for the game. Tianna was very helpful and courteous. They did take care of parking for inconveniance, but claimed they could not help with discount since we did not book with them.
We had over a two hour wait at check in made us late for the game. Staff had on no name tags and gave no explanation for delay. The suggested using their bar and grill for delay but offered no discount. The toilet did not flush sent maintainance to fix but still did not work. Empty water bottle was jammed between curtain and wall. Not very clean. Room was comfortable but probably would not stay here again.
Waited 2 hours for our room to be ready. Backed up valet parking. They were completely in prepared for guest arrival. And I don't recall an I'm sorry from check in clerk.
Close to everything if you don't mind walking
Location is great - walking distance to French Quarters. Free warm cookie at arrival and when you ask for it.
Noisy plumbing kept me awaken at night. Very strong smell of cleaning products in corridors and in the room
the location is great. french quarter, warehouse district and river just next door. boys at valet parking were nice.
receptionists, both at check-in and check-out somewhat arrogant. lady at check-out desk didn't even bother to ask about my stay. better. it was aweful! never slept so badly. room small, bathroom a joke, my closet is bigger, noisy. 38 usd for parking. wlan costs 12 usd... that's simply a rip off. place not worth the money!
They gave warm cookies that were tasty. And they did give a discount after numerous complaints. But the check in crew didn't care.
Check in was very late. When I shared my concerns they told me to take it up with booking.com also the air didn't work we slept horribly due to that. I felt it was the motels concern not booking.com. I'm not sure about staying at doubletree and for sure will not in New Orleans.
