Nothing. I had a great experience.
a little bit far from 5th avenue and central park
we got free wifi quiet room on the 43rd floor free cookies friendly staff
There weren't any refrigerators in the rooms. We had to contact roomservice more than once to send towels to our room. The elevator took several minutes to get to its destination due to staff holding up the elevator to service the other floors.
Location was great, if you don't want to be around the the noise from the city traffic. The Metro trains are conveniently located to get around on the corner across the street from the pharmacy.
The room was confining. The staff was unresponsive. The breakfast sucked and not worth the wait or the price. The bathroom is without shelf space and the fixtures are from a dollar store. The location is inconvenient. Many guests were French and very rude. The elevators take forever - we recommend you stay on a low floor.
We enjoyed leaving the establishment. We love this wonderful city, but, this place is terrible!!
The entrance to the hotel is a bit hidden and not welcoming.
The staff were very welcoming. The breakfast was included for me and was found very delicious and satisfying.
No minibar/fridge, no hairdryer
Nice area of NYC
Business center was just some computers on a table. Breakfast was BAD. Coffee was bad. Room was tiny and lots of noise from other rooms. I got this hotel on a discount, and for the price it was great. For full price it would be too much for too little. But for us business travelers, we can't be picky and the loyalty programs keep us coming back for more.
Location was ideal for financial district.
Had to wait for lifts but the hotel knows that's a problem. It didn't bother us too much though!
Doubletree was a great choice for us. We stayed in room 4106 (upgraded on check in - thanks!) with a view of the Freedom Tower. Super comfy bed, lovely room, friendly and attentive staff, easy to get all over town. Computers in lobby were great for use of Internet and print off airport boarding passes etc - great feature. Would definitely recommend to stay.
they should have more elevators, 3 elevators for 43 floors entails long waiting during check in/ check out hours
Everything was good
Customer service was great !
Sometimes you have to wait for elevators for 15 min.
no free wi-fi inside the room!
Comfortable and easy to get to Manhattan attractions. Great little pub next door.
As above, there was no cold water only hot and far to hot to shower. Very disappointing.
Went into the room and there was a mysterious whistling sound which was fortunately gone by the time we got back later. The king bed was a short king which meant my feet were well off the end. I'm 6'4'' but it was ridiculous. The biggest issue we had was the elevators. The hotel has 3 elevators, of which only two are working at any given time. Sometimes, we were waiting 5 minutes for an elevator to show up. Day 2 and 3, the elevators were a mess. We had to call the desk so that they could send an elevator up to us.
The staff was wonderful. I told them my partner liked higher floors and they gave us a free upgrade to the top floor, the 44th.
Only 1 elevator was working at the time when i stayed there so we had to call in advance to have the elevator sent to our floor..i was at the 27th floor and we waited for 30 min for the elevator but it took so long so we walked from the 27th floor to the lobby
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and bed is comfortable.
The elevator wasn't work
Staff,place, was wonderful
Only 3 small elevators for 44 floor hotel and one was down. We were on the 43 floor and waited about 20 minutes each time.
Location, convenience to subway, staff very helpful.
Elevators make you tens of minutes...make you tired...
Staff knocking on the door the morning we were due to check out from a few hours before we were due to leave. We expected breakfast to be included in the price of the room
Nice hotel, nicely located, reception staff and doormen were very friendly
breakfast was the same everyday
location staff gym cleaning
The hotel does not really have much "soul": the reception is on the second floor and it's pretty much used only as a reception, not as a gathering point.
The price was much lower than most other hotels in Manhattan.
Breakfast is bad, dining room not clean, service in the dinning room is poor
They could have had more cable channels and a bigger shower and a tub in the room
I loved the bed
