    This is your basic DoubleTree. Nothing fancy but serviceable.

    Elevator service is extremely poor. Only two of three were working and in the mornings the staff are using the elevators to go about their work which means guests must use the stairwell if you want to get anywhere on time.

    The location is great and the staff is very friendly. Within walking distance of many attractions including the subway to get uptown or wherever you need.

    We had on several occasions the power go out.

    Quiet, close to subway, clean, modern, comfortable. I would say it has an "excellent" location, but only if you want to be close to the Financial District.

    Good price, great location, very close to the subway, nice view to the One WTC in the night, fairly clean and comfortable.

    A bit noisy during the night.

    It was great to stay at the 38th floor with an excellent view on One World Trade center. The staff, although a little impersonal, was helpful, allowing us to overstay for almost 2 hours. Delightful welcome pastries (cookies). Nothing exceptional at breakfast.

    There was no complimentary WiFi in the room, only in the lobby on the second floor and in the restaurant. Even for european standards the room was very small, albeit with a large bed. The crowdiness is perhaps acceptable for lower Manhattan.

    I was achieving mission impossible and the staff helped me like no other staff from any hotel I've stayed at would ever have. All staff was friendly and helpful to the last minute.

    They charged me twise for the daily damage coverage, by "accident". Charged for wifi... I mean really? I know manhattan means money,money,money... But damn...

    Location, room comfortable

    Another couple was booked into our room and tried to enter while we were in the room. No apology from the staff or any acknowledgement of the error!

    Views, cleanliness. Reasonable price considering its in Downtown Manhattan. Staff at breakfast went out of their way to accommodate any requests. In general all of their staff were happy to help whenever asked.

    Far from where all the action is in New York, at least at night, not a big issue though. Charging for wifi is archaic. They forgot to give us breakfast coupons as we checked in late. Room size is very small.

    Room was very well Kept

    Other staff of hotel do not help at all, I had to stand up myself to take a tablespoon to have my cereal, also to bring non fat milk which was in a separate room. Also they never replaced the sweeteners on each table thus again having to stand up and take from other tables. Bread was stale. TO SUMMARISE BFAST AND BFAST STAFF ARE OF POOR QUALITY.

    We always try to stay at a Hilton location because of their consistent comfort and quality. This location was close to subways to get us to Brooklyn to see family. Very convenient.

    The elevators took very long to get to any floor. Also, the a/c in the room had a musty smell to it.
