Breakfast is bad, dining room not clean, service in the dinning room is poor
I loved the bed
They could have had more cable channels and a bigger shower and a tub in the room
the staff at the reception was very nice and helpfull the room was clean and comfortable .
oneof your breakfast staff was very rude he told me off which made me very uncomfortableand decided to have breakfast somewhere else.
I LIKED NOTHING, ITS THE WORST HOTEL BY FAR! EVERYTHING IS BAD, BREAKFAST IS A DISASTER.. CUATOMER SERVICE IS UNBELIVABLY BAD. HE ROOMS ARE UNCLEAN FULL OF DUST, THE ROOMS ARE TOOO SMALL AND SO CLOSLY ATTACHED THAT YOU CAN LITERALLY HEAR ALL THE OTHER GUESTS NEXT TO YOU.
very friendly staff
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The elevator had been damaged by water and this resulted in very long wait times for the elevator and improper functioning of the elevator. This was frustrating when one had to get somewhere in a timely manner.
The bed was really comfy.
There was a fire.
I will never ever stay at this nasty low hotel again in my life !
Comfortable bed and shower/bathroom and good price.
Very, very thin walls which allows you AND YOUR CHILDREN to hear EVERYTHING that goes on in the room next to you in the middle of the night! The staff doesn't seem to care when you inform them of this either. The elevators are broke and take FOREVER!!!! Nor is there a doorman to .help you with yourluggage, hold the door, or to. let you know that you need to go to the 2nd floor for the lobby.
We enjoyed the suite we were upgraded too because our first room had issues with the tub not draining and we were on the 16th floor. We ordered room service, it was on time and tasted really really good!
Elevators were broken had to move to a lower floor because walking up to the 16th floor was rough. Staff didn't even help us with our luggage we had to move it ourselves. Later that night 2/14/15 we came back from dinner to see fire trucks and firemen all through the building. Fire in the elevators! Luckily we were only there one more night and were able to stay in our room.
We enjoyed the view from our clean room, perfect location and the customer service was excellent!
locations and easy of going anywhere
number one was the rudeness of the night manager for the restaurant for my wife and I .And waiting for an elevator for the longest time
Really enjoyed my stay. The staff was great. They have me a cookie and bottles of water when I checked in.
The elevator was extremely slow. Probably nothing they can fix but if you're in a hurry make sure you leave 10 min early for the elevator.
So for the positives. Te room we stayed in (city view) was on the 43rd floor, one from the top. The view was amazing. We had a good view of One World Trade Centre, Wall Street and the Hudson River. The Room was a good size (for New York), with enough room to move around in a comfortable space. We did like how big the bathroom was too. For two people it was a decent size. It was a nice touch to have hot- freshly made cookies complementary on arrival too. There is a few subways in a short walk including 'Whitehall and south ferry' on the same road as the hotel. The room safe was really useful it was big enough for a laptop and all personal belongings Great little irish bar next door.
The big standout negative for me was, after travelling for 24 hours, having to wait a long time for our airport to hotel transfer, we were greeted at the hotel in reception, which was 'inconveniently' on the second floor was the receptionist telling us we had to put down a $200pp deposit for the room! Nowhere on our confirmation did it say we had to do so. we argued the fact for a good 20 minutes before the receptionist gave in but told us in quite a threatening manor that 'the manager' would be calling our room phone throughout our stay until it was paid.... we took the phone off the hook... simple! When we went it was terrible weather and staying so far downtown didn't help. we had to take extra time when visiting anywhere. Americans expect to be tipped ... whether they are holding the door open for you or cleaning your room. I left some loose change on the side in the hotel room whilst out, when i had returned the cleaner had taken it and written a note to say thanks... Now this was maybe $3 in change maximum but the principle being it wasn't a tip. Be careful!
fantastic staffing everywhere in hotel ...front desk, restaurant and bellman
The cookies are great and they give you as many as you want. Really nice staff- never ran into one rude person in the 3 days I was there.
The shower did leak a bit on the floor. There was no fridge or microwave in my room.
The comfort of the bed, the tv. Good water pressure
The size of the room considering a King size bed was in it
I wish there was a microwave and fridge but all else was perfect...room was a little small but comfy.
The staff was great
The room was clean with a great view of wtc and the bed was very comfy
The "amazing" cookies received upon arrival were burnt and too hard to eat, saturday morning the fire alarm went off for about 10 minutes and they didn't have an answer as to why, then in the evening it went off again, and again and again! They made announcements through the fire alarm intercom that they were tests but nonetheless it was very loud and not my idea of a romantic evening with my fiancé :(
The elevators, bad enough to not come back. Just update them. Twenty minute waits for them daily. Electrical fire on 14th floor had locked down. Zero compensation given to guests on other floors despite also inconvenicing our stay. Pocket Door to bathroom doesn't fully close. Awkward to say the least when going to the bathroom in a hotel room with my girlfriend!
Near the train Friendly staff Was compensated for short comings
I had problems with heat There was a fire on the 14th floor and we didn't know....they also announced it was a false alarm Hot water didn't work well Maids didn't clean
The bed was big and comfortable. They gave me a discount for my troubles.
One elevator was broken, so I had to walk 8 flights to my room. There was a gross stain on our comforter so we couldn't use it. There was a small fire in a room above ours, so we were stuck out of the hotel for 2 hrs, and had to spend more money at a bar next door.
Everyone from the hotel staff was very helpful and informative, even in a stressful situation that was ongoing.
The broken elevators were not repaired for more than a day, and that affected each and every aspect of the life of the hotel, not even speaking of having to go up to your room 35 floors up.
The location was great for me. Staff was very helpful and there's a wonderful restaurant in the building.
There was nothing bad about this stay.
