The room was great
The roof top bar was closed and we weren't notified
Last action, lobby & staff
Amazing location just 2 blocks from central park, the rooms were comfortable, pillows soft and the rooms were cleaned to a high standard everyday. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Could not rate this hotel high enough. Great service 5 stars
Location is just brilliant central to everything, staff are fantastic and the rooms are a bit on the small side but very very clean. Great hotel and staff...
Dream is a great hotel so central to everything, staff so helpful, rooms small but cosy...bathroom perfect size, concierge very helpful. would stay there again.
Loved the location, loved the staff, loved the room we stayed in. We didn't get to have a drink in the sky bar but when we had a look at it it did look lovely. The fish in the lobby are sensational.
The prices for NYE but that's to be expected and the fact that the cleaners were very keen to clean but I guess that might be considered a pro point. I think perhaps the 'Do Not Disturb' didn't remain on which is why we were disturbed perhaps but it wasn't that bad. The room cards are very sensitive so they continuously failed to work if they went anywhere near a mobile - that was more so a laugh if anything as we always somehow put them near our mobiles by mistake but reception were very good about this :)
The room was clean and had all the essentials hair dryer, iron, ironing board and safe. Wifi free in the lobby and only $10 in the room for 24hours. The staff can't do enough for you. Would definitely return!!!
Construction work out front of hotel and was noisy some of the mornings.
I went to NY for a week as solo traveller. To change from the usual mass tourism hotel I have chosen the DREAM hotel. A boutique hotel strategically placed between time square and Central Park. The location is great and the local restorant and bar are quality.
The room was much smaller than a picture showing when I booked the hotel 6 months ago. The art part of it, the neon blue light under the bed was kind of disturbing and the air conditioned did not help me recovering from jetlag until I turn it off completly. The receptionist was moody and not very helpful, she was almost annoyed to answer basic question making me unwelcome. Pity..next time I will try just across the road.
Great location and easy to walk everywhere! Good restaurants near by. Rooms are small New York style, but clean.
Fridge. Even we didn't take anything out from the minibar there is a sensor that thinks that if you put anything extra in. We got charged for a coke, even we didn't drink it. Only used it the fridge to keep yogurts cold.
No internet in room
Excellent location, being an old building the small rooms were expected, if you know about New York apartments and their prices. The staff were very friendly and helpful, would definitely stay here again.
When we arrived the staff at reception explained that the room I had booked was a little small so at no extra cost upgraded me to a larger room. Wifi was free in the lobby. I travel to NYC very often so the location was perfect as close to the restaurants in Hell's Kitchen and a short walk from Times Sq.
Only slight downside but not really much of a criticism is that you have to pay for wifi in your room. Which is pretty standard in NYC I guess.
Staff so helpful &happy to do so. Very Homely. I am an early riser &would a Coffey or 2, but no facelities. One of the Staff did go out to get me one. I was so grateful. Would stay again ,no doubt. Very central. Thanks for a memorable stay in New York.
Location is excellent! Close to great things to experience but on a nice and easy street.
The room cold and the heating was terrible! AC was trying to cope with winter weather and blew war air directly towards the bed. Well advertised terrace and penthouse were reserved for private party and were closed for hotel guests during the new years eve and day although the room price was sky high 800 bucks a night because of the high season extras. Service was just ok but not good. Window was blocked because of the scaffoldings outside. Poor value for money for such an advertised wannabe fashion hotel.
Dark, dank room. Very noisy and poor shower water pressure. No window
I loved my stay at dream! From the moment I checked in a had a fabulous stay,Darren at reception is so friendly, professional and helpful. The room size was really good for a NYC hotel. Beds super comfy and all the housekeeping staff were lovely. Gio on the door was also very helpful and friendly. I was very sad to check out-I will def be back! It's location was perfect and the friendly welcoming staff made my stay extra special.
Cost as hotel cost more than flight.
the staff an location
the bed was very small.
Great location and staff, great value for money (I booked well in advance).
Room is small, conditioning is very loud- had to turn it off
Fish tank in the lobby.
Arrived late at night. Know one offered to help with bags. Carpet in the room looked old. The tile in the shower appeared dirty. Wife woke up with what appeared to be bights from bugs. Way overpriced compared to the Crown Plaza a few blocks away. We checked out in the morning. So we stayed one night instead of four. We actually found a cleaner and better located Hotel. And upon arrival at the Dream they tried to give us two rooms with single beds, instead of one room with double beds ( with an 8 and 15 yr old). Never again will I stay there and will not recommend them to anyone.
The location and room availability on that date were key in our selection of that hotel. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed.
The fact that there was a roof bar and modern facilities.
Great location, staff, services. Clean.
- Friendly helpfull staff - Comfortable beds - Proximity to theaters - hotel has a good feeling
- no free internet in room
