The bed was comfy, the rest of the room was nice.
Wifi and wired internet is basically unusable. 2 laptops, 1 tablet, multiple phones, in room in reception, plugged into ethernet port in the room. All dismal. At one point I was get 4k/s while trying to install an app (it predicted it would take 45m, it was literally slower than a dialup modem).
Great hotel in the great location. Would stay there again.
THE BEDS ARE TERRIBLE.
One of the best hotels I ever had in NYC. Location is perfect. Lot's of beautiful people around.
Noise (that's NYC)
Location, friendly staff, nice size room and bathroom.
A bit noisy on weekend nights.
I enjoyed that there was everything I needed in Hotel , although I know my way around NY extremely well . It was great especially great for anyone really wanting to have everything & relax
that the closet light was on all the time .
Loved the pool Nice and clean Comfortable bed Location close to lots of restaurants and places to go Nice neighborhood
Noise. The Lobby bar was so noisy that it was difficult to hear when trying to contact the front desk. The hotel needs one bar where the patrons can have a nice quiet drink or snack after hours.
The location was good.
The bed was horribly uncomfortable. The internet barely worked. My air conditioner broke. Overall, not a good experience.
Comfy bed. Funky decor.
Clubbing music and noisy guests until early hours. In fairness it is a hip, trendy hotel so to be expected. Not as slick an experience as I expected.
I asked my bags to be sent up to my room, when I checked in and I left, went and grabbed a drink. When I came back the bags were still sitting infront of the desk, Where they could have been stolen. So with drink in my hand and struggle . I took my bags my self. And I told the check in girl. she didn't stop to grab someone to get my bags. Instead she watched me struggle to the elevator.
Ambience Rooftop bar (PHD) Downstairs Nightclub Location Restaurants Great views of NY skyline Fast lifts/elevators (makes such a difference!)
Small bathroom Slow free wifi Expensive for what it is Tax not included in cost
As guests they would not let us up to the rooftop club (phd), even when we had reservations for a table.
Location is good.
Only stylish. The loud sound of the club until midnight.Price is expensive. But there was no equipment that can be happy.
The funky new age urban design, in the lobby, rooms and throughout the hotel. The rooftop pool was a great place to hang out and lap up the sun while having a cold beverage. Loved the rooftop bar and the overall vibe at the hotel.
A little bit pricey, but I would stay there again. Had to wait for our rooms to be ready well after the official check in time.
Location, clubs, pool, and the "scene." Very swanky impressive sounding hotel in a good area. Staff is wonderful.
Rooms are fine, just over priced. If money's not an issue, go for it. But I think a comparative hotel like the Bowery has better rooms (granted, location makes a big difference)
Decor was very tasteful and nice. Loved the chain mail shower curtains. Excellent location, very helpful staff. View was off the chart.
Because it's got the club/bar, don't be surprised to be woken up by party revelers. Admittedly the hotel does cater for that by having a dial background noise. Not really a complaint but 38 dollars for two drinks is steep but guess when you have so many celebs hanging out, it's not really a surprise.
The accommodations were beautiful and the staff were excellently trained and so helpful.
Our room was in the North Tower and the first night of our stay we did hear a lot of music from the 2nd floor pool bar and lounge.
Location & great team
Restaurant poor breakfast
over run by fashion victims - half of the facilities "closed" to regular guests!!
The beds so comfortable, just what u need after a long day site seeing, all staff very helpful, had problem with location of 1st room given, spoke 2 front desk and was moved that day (thanks Jennifer zelouf & others) pool/bar area lovley 2 relax in on sunny day, smoking area always clean & tidy.roof top bar lively with lovley views.
Had issue getting into roof top bar, (didn't have stamp) staff on hand 2 sort it immediately, may have been better 2 have been given list of facilities, and how 2 access them at check in,
the location in Chelsea Meatpacking very trendy
the noise with the club at night
- Good location - Clean - Good bathroom - Room service was prompt and food was good
- Uncomfortable bed - Lots of noise both from the hallways and the other rooms. - Very small room - Extremely expensive - Basic Gym - Overly focused on being a niteclub
- excellent location - nice out door pool - good standards
- music is very loud by the swimming pool - access to the PHD subject to door man discretion - excessive mini bar prices - excessive room service prices
Lovely pool area. Good location for the meat packing shops, restaurants and bars. Recommend upgrading to larger room if you can as the standard are very small. (Standard in NYC)
Pot luck with the staff... some are lovely and helpful. Others really think they are doing you a favour by doing their job. Food and drinks very expensive.
clean, new, very modern. friendly.
