Staff, location, bathrobes
Smell of paint at 2 am in the 8th floor
-Renovation in hotel (it was loud, some of floors were closed so only one elevator was working and it took ages to get in to elevator from high floor) -first room I got; incredibly small, couldn't open my bags, because didn't have space to even put them on the floor, wall out of the window, no day light in room, very claustrophobic. The second room they gave me was better.
Down to earth staff...Tony, Victor & Ed are the Best!
hotel under renovation!!! you cannot sell without informing customers
the room was very comfortable, especially the bed, and clean. serafina restaurant attached, great breakfast. completely new and updated bathroom and modern décor.
hard to identify the entrance since the lobby is in the throws of renovation construction. lots of workers and debris.
Location. Couldn't tell about the hotel itself....was being renovated.
Wish I had known it was under renovation. Was disappointing!!!!
Friendly staff. Location.
Construction crews everywhere. Noise at all hours of the night caused by construction. Very little mention on line about the magnitude of the construction. Prices per room did not reflect the inconvenience of the construction project.
Updated rooms, bathrooms, house keeping attentive and friendly. Clean, functional, luxurious towels, spacious enough for bags and personal items, Walking distance to Columbus circle (Whole Foods!), MoMA. Easy check in and check out.
Excellent location, clean
I didn't know its under renovation which means: 1 elevator during the day, long waiting, no lobby its full of materials, didn't sleep 1 night they were fixing a broken elevator .Do not pay with debit card they will take the whole amount upon arrival. This is not a "Dream" hotel far from it.
Location cannot be beat! Rooms are small, but have everything needed for a great time. Great in-house restaurant!
They were under a complete renovation project, but they did not tell us that before hand. Only 2 of the 3 elevators were working. One was used for the construction workers, and the other one for clients was malfunctioning; it stopped and opened the door on every floor several times we used it, and we were on the eleventh floor. This will all be fixed soon, I hope?
The rooftop bar
There were refurbishments going on at the time. We felt we were put second to them as guests. There was no hot water in our room so we asked to move. They put us in another and there were Jamaicans on our floor who kept us up all night.
great location good staff good rooms
the hotel was under renovations and the noise woke us up WIFI went down for 3 days and no one seemed to know what was going on
The internet connection
The location was excellent and we were able to walk to many attractions like Times Square and Central Park. The have a really cool rooftop bar.
The staff at reception had a negative, unhelpful attitude, the lady on duty when we checked out in particular was bordering on outright rudeness. They were renovating at the time, and the lift was permanently full of workers and we eventually rather just used the stairs as we were always standing around waiting for ages for the lift. The staff were unapologetic about the inconvenience caused by the renovations and weren't interested in any complaints. When we asked about a tax form to claim back taxes, they were unhelpful, saying they knew nothing about it and were very abrupt and rather rude in their treatment of us. Also our room was incredibly tiny and overlooked a dirty air vent which was not very pleasant.
The designer lighting gave the room a a nice, sexy look, and the staff was extremely accommodating and had a generosity of spirit. I also appreciated how seriously the staff took my special request for our stay.
The lobby was under construction and, therefore, small and cut-up.
Location, comfortable bed, free WiFi,
At the time we stayed there was construction going on. And only 1elevator was working!! The room is very very very small And nothing like the pictures shown. The price is high for the room quality.
Location and service was good
Renovations impacted quality of our stay and wifi quality was poor
Loved the location! The room was nice and the bed lovley!
Constructionwork! - the lobby was very dirty and most of the facilities was cloosed. The elevetarors took very long time.
THE LOCATION, THE SIZE OF THE ROOM AND BATH, THE KING SIZE BED, THE COURTESY OF THE STAFF AND CLEANING LADY, THE RATE FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. ONLY HAD ONE DRINK AT THE PENTHOUSE LOUNGE,EARLY BUT IT LOOKED WORTH REVISITING.
THE LONG WAIT FOR AN ELEVATOR BUT ,I UNDERSTAND IT WAS DUE TO THE CONSTRUCTION IN PROGRESS SO, I CONSIDER IT A TEMPORARY CONDITION,
i had a really big room in the second floor, the bed was very good, the service was very good, i enjoyed it very much, i walked to all the attractions in midtown within 10-15 minutes, subway station just 20 meters down the street
just now they renovate the hotel and therefore it is a little bit difficult to use the elevator
elevator is very bad, i got stock twice in 4 days...
Although the the building renovations where going on they did help us with our stay. The staff were friendly and quick to respond to any needs. The roof top bar is a must. Beds comfortable and location is fantastic. Once the renovations are complete it'll be a great place. I'd most certainly go back.
At times no access to the lift due to building renovations. The renovations also caused a layer of dust to settle in over parts of the hall ways. No double glazing, it's the city that never sleeps. I hardly slept. But they give out ear plugs.
We ran into an issue staff bent over backward to make r stay pleasant and followed up.
Perfect location for Central Park, Broadway, subway . . . helpful staff if asked for something directly.
No coffee maker in the room. Tiny room. Lots of disruption due to renovation.
