We live in Cabin. It's amazing. Have fun!
so far away from yellowstone. But it's cheap enough.
The cabin was large enough, well decorated, direct tv. We were close to Yellowstone with a much lower price than in West Yellowstone. It was comfortable and we could prepare our meals.
The kitchen was just useable. A larger fridge would help. Needed paper towels, coffee filters,
Proximity to Yellowstone...20 miles. Had wifi.
The picture had a full kitchen. Upon arrival, we found out it was only in the larger cabins. Not our 1Br. The staff was punctual. The price value was only decent because of the outrageous prices the area commands. No breakfast, amenities bare minimum. If we were fly fishing, camping, etc....mostly guys fine. Not A room to relax in if you are needing a day to rest.
Roof overhead in rain.
Junky grounds. Very rustic. Coffee pot but no filters. Fridge unplugged. Owners son at desk couldn't wait to check us in so he could ride off in a huff of dust on his 4 wheeler. No one at office desk in morning. This place is over rated and needs an overhaul. Somewhat unfriendly dog will be there to greet you.
Good price for proximity to Yellowstone.
Smallish room with no outlook. No food, drink or groceries available without driving (3 miles minimum)
From the picture on Booking.com site we were rather dubious about what the real lodge would be like. We were very pleasantly surprised! Clean, spacious and well furnished/equipped cabin in an excellent location for accessing Yellowstone National Park.
My husband found the traffic a bit noisy at night (I didn't notice it!)
economy room was very smallbarely enough room for two people to move around there was no hair dryer availablerecreation in immediate area
It is a little ways from Yellowstone so feels more rustic and not so crowded and touristy
A little far from west Yellowstone of you don't plan ahead for meals and groceries. A lot of people riding atv/motorcycles around late at night
The location was good and the owners were nice.
The cabin was small, and priced the same as the bigger half.
Quality of the room, size of room, so called amenities, misconception of what we expected, we were expecting a kitchenette as pictured, there was a wire rack with no sink for doing dishes. Their idea of air conditioning was a 10" fan that did absolutely nothing as far as cooling off a very hot and stuffy room. We had to cut our stay short, when we asked about a possible refund the owner went ballistic on us , cursed at us and wouldn't talk in a civil tone or voice. He kicked us out. He was very unprofessional and a poor businessman. When we returned home we received an email from booking.com detailing our change in arrangements and our revised fee. We have received no refund from the 3 day price we paid plus a pet fee that we knew nothing about. If we were traveling in the area and had no reservations for a place for the night we would not have even stopped there to inquire about a vacancy.
I chose the lodge for its location, price and availability. We were on a trip to Seattle and this was a perfect place to stop for the evening.
The road traffic was a little loud.
They were listed as dog friendly. They weren't. Their beds are horrible they are too close to the highway you heard big trucks all night long running the highway. They cabin connects to another and the stopping and throwing things around at midnight was horrible. Rude on the phone unfriendly at the counter just not a place you'd want to stay
We liked the location,as we were visiting Yellowstone& the lovely valley view.
Was dissappointed in the room,as I thought I had reserved a cabin w/kitchen!
It was more like being at home. It had everything we needed, and it was very well arranged. I liked how it was out in the country and more private than most hotels.
There wasn't anything I didn't like.
Setting owners friendly
Very nice place to stay. Comfortable, clean with nice view. Value added place. Would definitely come back again. It also provides free Wifi. The host Mike is so nice.
the wifi is poor in the cabin
no heat in bathroom, tv hookup is minimal, no standard channels
The chalet was a pleasant surprise for all of us. It was perfect for what we did.
We like the fact that we can bring our dogs with us when we visit Island Park. I also love the location. The rooms are nice, clean and fairly priced. I will definitely be a return customer.
There is only one thing that I didn't like about my most recent stay...I reserved the room through booking.com. I put in a request for a late checkout time because there was an event that we wanted to attend before checking out. One of the owners responded by stating that it shouldn't be a problem, but they would let us know if there was. Apparently her husband didn't appreciate us leaving at 2PM rather than 11AM. There was also no apparent communication between the husband/wife owners of the establishment. They also have only one packet of coffee available for the coffee maker provided with the room. I am a return customer, so I knew this time to bring my own coffee and coffee filter.
Great location for Yellowstone Park. Cabin was very nice, homey and clean. Best value for the Yellowstone area. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Wish it had a hot tube but with the low cost of the cabin I understand
Real comfortable, nice place to stay.
Lots if snow.
1. no wifi in the room 2. one month advance paymetn is way too long. During the 2013 Oct national park shutdown, we can't cancel the reservation 5 days before the check-in day. 3. Compared to many hostels in west yellow stone town who refund the accommodation to client during national park shutdown, Drift Lodge refused to do so.
The cabin has everything you need. We cooked every night when we stayed.
Cabin was comfy and cozy with beautiful mountain view. Plenty of beds to fit a big family. Full kitchen with stove allows for cooking.
The location was very secluded. Breakfast is not provided so I would recommend buying your food before heading here. They also ask that you throw out your own trash to the dumpster.
